RAM upgrade for the e520 problem

Hi all. My Dim520 should take 4 gigabytes of RAM, in 2 installments of 2 x 1 GB. It says in the manual. I don't really have as much RAM, but as it went VERY cheap, I bought two 1 GB 533 Mhz DDR2 cards just because they were there. I installed the 2 cards, but my computer only recognizes 3 GB. Am I missing something completely obvious? Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

  • Memory RAM upgrade for 9280

I don't know if someone always checks on this string, but thanks for the tip on the GTX 660!  What a great card!

My next questions consider now ram and hard drive upgrades:

    • If I want to add memory, should I get sets to match the four locations?  In other words, if I can't find the exact kind that I have, I have to replace the originals as well to match the others I buy?
    • My system can support an ssd?  I was watching a Samsung 1 Tb ssd.

    Thank you!

Check the model of the computer in the link below to make sure that it is on your computer.

Here's memory and SSD that are compatible with your computer on Crucial memory website.  As it is said, you can install a single module at a time, but given that the motherboard supports dual channel architecture, it is best to install pairs.  Read the whole page to make sure you get all the information.

While I am not sure that the memory is compatible with existing memory, if it were me, I would buy all of the 8 GB of memory.  This will ensure that it is no problem of compatibility.  You can also contact see service customer of Crucial in what they have to say.

  • RAM upgrade for mid-2012 MacBook Pro question?

So, I bought some RAM Corsair (2 x 8 GB) to install in my MacBook Pro for mid-2012. It has been well over a month now and I get freezes and flaws that were not there when the Apple RAM stock has already been installed. My question is... are it freezes and the seeds one result of the brand of RAM I have installed (Corsair) or the fact that I am superior to the amount of 8 GB of RAM recommended for this laptop of Apple to the particular address?

    Thank you.

As you can see here, your MBP can, indeed, support for 16 GB of RAM. However, DIMMs must meet Apple specifications which are often much more demanding that really meant DIMMS for PC can meet. One of the advantages of buying from OWC (in the link) is that they provide 100% support so their products need to be designed with the Mac in mind. If you have no problem with DIMM Apple, but you do with Corsair DIMMS, I would say getting them replaced or, better yet, to get a refund.

  • Laptop HP Pavilion 14 n201-tx: RAM upgrade for laptop HP Pavilion 14 n201-tx

I have a laptop HP Pavilion 14 n201-TX with 4 GB 1Rx8 RAM of PC3L - 12800S. The other location is empty. I want to upgrade the RAM to 8 GB or more.  I have 2 questions:

    1. Can I buy a 8 GB of RAM and pair it with the existing 4 GB RAM?

2 should. what RAM I buy? How to choose the RAM compatible, right?

    Help, please. Ty.

  • Laptop HP 15-ac089n: RAM upgrade for HP 15-ac089n laptop

    Hello

I have a question for HP Laptop HP 15-ac089n:

as it is only 4 GB of RAM, I' like to upgrade at least 8 GB.

Anyone know if it can be improved and if the slot of RAM so how did have and what is the maximum RAM space that I can install?

    Thank you in advance.

    REPAIR:

    Manual link

Two memory non-customer-accessible/extendable module housing (Intel Core processors)

See p. 46 for the installation of the memory. You need to remove the bottom cover. There are 2 slots. Your a single 4 GB module in a slot and a location empty. Although the specs say that it can take up to 8 GB, it has been shown that the 2 x 8 total 16 GB will work. I agree with your plan to add another 4 GB module for 8 total. It is more profitable.

This isn't an upgrade of the end user, but if you do it without damage to the computer HP laptop will still honor the warranty.

  • Pavilion dv7-6157 can be upgraded for the games?

I bought my son the Pavilion dv7-6157nr two years ago and he has problems with graphics on the high-end gaming, he plays. They freeze or crash. It has 8 G DDR3 SDRam, 2 generation Intel Core i7 2.2 GHz - 3.10 turbo and a radeon HD 6770Ms graphics card. Video memory it says "itchable graphics"... What does that mean?  This computer can evolve in a way that would help the graphics? Y at - it a graphics card or driver upgrade? More graphics memory can be affected?

I'm tired of hearing that suck laptops.

Laptops are not really designed or constructed for the high end games. I doubt that adding memory will make much difference. Given that the two most important points (CPU and GPU) cannot be updated easily, it is a losing battle.

The only other options I can suggest are...

    (1) a HP System Recovery to return the computer to a factory like State

    (2) do a clean install of WIndows 7 and try to use latest drivers for chipset manufacturers

    (3) buy a new computer that exceeds the requirements of game

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

  • which component to upgrade for the offset of the brush

for the most part, I use photoshop for digital painting. When I use a complicated brush type he is lagging badly.

What should I upgrade to fix this problem.

    Plug

    i5 3570 k 4.5 mhz

    8 GB 1800 mhz ddr3

    GTX 670

    256 GB SSD

Your hardware is sufficient. Update your drivers and configure them accordingly. Another "complicated type brush" could involve a large brushes with many options of randomization and pressure sensitivity, and well, some of this stuff can just take a whiel to calculate. You see no difference even on the last core7i IRO no matter then...

  • Qosmio F50 - warranty for the battery problem

I bought a F-50 from Toshiba to Saudi Arabia. He has a 3-year international warranty.
But last month my battery or my adapter (No. Clue which one it is) started acting weird. I mean my battery charges to 60-65%.
So I removed my battery and started using only the adapter directly and my laptop works very well.

Recently, I called the service center and told them my problem and they confirmed that my battery is the real problem... OK fine...
I also told them my laptop has 3 years international warranty and they provide a free service... they said that my laptop has 3 year warranty, but the battery has only 1 year warranty... which means I have to buy a new battery...

I'm basically located in Chennai, India and I want to know if it's true. Is it true that the battery has only 1 year warranty?
Is it possible I could get a battery without paying. Is there any body else facing this same problem? *

And can someone tell me where I could give my phone to maintain it here in Chennai...

Thank you (I hope you understand what I mean)... ;-)

Yes it's true. Warranty covers the battery always one long year.
It s any manufacturer will ask you; all batteries are covered under warranty for one year.

  • Processor upgrade for the games.

    I have a Hp envy with a Core i7-4510u Cpu and a GeForce GTX 850 M.

It works fairly well for the games, but I was wondering if it would be better if I swapped the Cpu for something different, and what models I could exchange it for.

    Hello

What is your computer? It's a laptop? If so, save the money to buy the new machine because the graphics card for a normal laptop upgrade is impossible bunch of costs, more than buying a new, better machine.

    Kind regards.

  • F9M06UA: AC wifi upgrade for the product number: F9M06UA TOUCHSMART HP ENVY 17-J185NR NOTEBOOK PC

Y at - it an option to upgrade wifi AC for the TOUCHSMART from HP ENVY 17-J185NR NOTEBOOK PC / PN F9M06UA?

    You are the very welcome.

Yes, with one of these cards, you will have bluetooth.

I prefer Intel products, but the MCB card should be fine also.

I bet, too, that you can install the Intel 7260 AC map better, even if it is not on the list.

  • East of 128 MB of video RAM necessary for the performance of Vista

I was looking at the Windows Vista box for the minimum run Vista and it says that 1 GB of RAM is required.  But another source indicates that the video card must have minimum video on 128 MB of RAM to run Vista?

    Hello

It depends on the version of vista:

"Supported graphics DirectX 9 with WDDM and 128 MB graphics memory (32 MB for the basic home edition)"

    Hello

Professionally! Basically, you can, with a cost, and I think that this cost can be more expensive than buying a new computer because you have to take into account:

    • New price of the card, and WHERE you can buy it because the laptop cards are not the same office maps. You can't buy any normal store,
    • Need new card system (can be),
    • Need new system of cooling because in general more powerful card pumps out more heat (you want more powerful card don't you?).
    • May need new power supply because your current diet is not suitbale for the card. (I ordered a machine with the Nvidia card and I need to order a 90W charger at the same time, not the normal charger 65W. They rejected just my order.)
    • Cost of the work (I would charge minimum 4hrs to do this, just for work, which equals a $ 960,00).
    • Packages a lot, a lot of aspirin.

    I hope this helps.
