Random screen 'touch' windows 8 pro 64

I have a Lenovo ThinkPad X 220 Tablet with touch screen.  I made a new Installation of 64-bit Windows 8.

I'm having a problem with the touch screen.

If the computer is using the battery, the touchscreen works perfectly; However, once I connect to the power adapter, once from time to time (random) records of a "touch" on the display screen and it move my mouse or clicks somewhere, etc.

As soon as I cut the power, the inquiry randomly "touch."

I tried different adapters, I also used power of Microsoft and Lenovo drivers.

I tried to use also drivers Wacom.

When I remove the HDD with windows 8 and install windows 7 works of touch screen perfectly plugged or unplugged.

In addition, the screen is clean.

I even lowered the intensity of the lighting of the screen to test (I used to have to 100% when it is plugged and unplugged 50%).

Any ideas?

How can I find the Microsoft driver that controls the touch screen?

I have not tried to remove the Chuck and replace.

Yes, I did (do not know exactly what fixed it, but it works now).

After you have installed windows 8.1 my touch screen does not work properly.

I tried different things to fix but it would not work.

I ended up removing all devices Device Manager interface.

After the restart, he added as once again and 'magical' everything works as it should.

I have computer LAPTOP Compaq Presario A900 in which I installed Windows 8 Pro. After the installation, I'm not able to change my screen resolution. When I right click on the desktop, and then select the screen resolution, it is written in the resolution 1024 x 768 (recommended)box. I can't change the screen resolution. In Device Manager, I tried to update my Generic PnP Monitor driver, it says that your driver is up to date.

This Device Manager cannot find generic drivers.  I recommend go to the Compaq website and download all the drivers for your model laptop (same drivers you already have, bring here to ensure that you have the latest version of the non-generic), but above all, including the graphics driver.

  • Help! -Acer Aspire all-in-one touch screen after upgrade Windows 8 Pro

    Hi all!

This is a rather confusing questions and about * me off no end!  I know that some of you may have encountered this already and could have a potential solution?

I have an Acer Aspire all-in-one, AZ5101 (Aspire Z5101), with 4 GB of RAM, etc..

Since the Developer Preview of Windows 8 came out, I've been running Windows 8 perfectly.  I completely uninstalled (each time itself) and run the following:

    Windows 8 Developer Preview, 64-bit

Windows 8 Preview of consumer, 64-bit

    Windows 8 Preview, 64-bit version

In any case, on this PC worked perfectly - y INCLUSIVE of the TOUCH SCREEN.  I never had a problem.

So far so good.  Then, they finally released updates Windows 8 Pro official licensed by download.  I bought the upgrade and downloaded.  Just like in * ALL * other cases, upgrade, I chose "keep nothing" of the old system (I never really got all the important data on here), and do the upgrade itself.

After the upgrade was complete, and ALL Windows 8 Pro updates have been applied by Windows update, I have a system where the screen is clear and precise, everything works, and all devices in Device Manager, show the Greens well, it works fine - NO ERRORS.  HOWEVER - NO CONTACT!  No touch no screen function at all.  The screen now has this time as a standard monitor.

I tried the driver Idéacom - no luck.  Anyone know (please? LOL) how to get the touch screen to work again?  Thank you very much!  I really appreciate any help you can give.  Microsoft technical support had NO idea and no reply emails from Acer! Laughing out loud

    Thanks again,

    Mike

  • Windows 8 Pro - blue screen with CPD Watchdog continuing Violation coming

I just installed Windows 8 Pro four days ago on my new PC (two months) that came with Windows 7.  I randomly get the blue screen with Violation of CPD watchdog, and the PC restarts.  It is very frustrating and never had this problem with Windows 7.

Also, on my desk, get Ezupdt window warning and I was wondering if it is related?

    Hello world

Problem solved.  My free version of AVG 2012 was the root cause of the problem.  I was able to get a free through Microsoft consultation as my warranty period of Windows 8 is still valid (less than 90 days).

Time AVG has been removed, the problem has gone.

  • How to list all the users on the Windows 8 Pro welcome screen

I work for a small company based in the House of my boss of IT services. Because he runs the company, all the computers in the House are on a domain Active Directory (ease of management and control). Because he runs the company from his home, several of these computers are tablets/touch screens for his children, all upgraded to Windows 8 Pro.

Currently, the default behavior of Windows 8 at startup is to display the Welcome screen showing the last user who opened a session with an option to switch to another user. If "Other user" is selected, a complete login prompt appears requesting a user name and password. This is standard fair for Windows 8, especially on a domain.
He wants to do me is to find a way to allow a style of Windows XP (workgroup) Welcome screen displaying all the available avatars with user accounts, allowing so a child to click easily their user account and enter a picture password without ever seeing the on-screen keyboard.
To rephrase: we want the Windows 8 Pro welcome screen to list all the (or specific, if possible) allowing anyone of you users connect to the computer without entering a user name and only enter a password (or picture password).
I searched the web carefully and it seems that Microsoft can have deprecated this feature in an update of Windows 7 - many people shouting right lose their old welcome screen after an update. I read in the case of registry (removal of corrupt profiles and .default) hacks, security policy settings (interactive logon: do not display last user name = disabled), account policy (control userpasswords2 > uncheck: users must enter a password...) and a few other suggestions that had mixed results, which none apply to the present case , either because the settings are already in place, or because they are not available due to being on a domain.
I'm open to exploration of any kind of registry or 3rd party software hacks that can provide this functionality. Win8 default behavior is absolutely horrible for tablets - it should be easy for multiple users to connect to a device without using a screen keyboard to enter their username and password. WIN8 is halfway there with passwords of photo, but we still have to enter a user name for all, but the user recently.
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Jayce Nornin,

Please be informed that he has no option to list all the users on the Windows 8 Pro welcome screen.

It will be useful. If you have any other questions, feel free to let us know. We will be happy to help you.

  • Is there a Windows API that I can use to turn off the touch screen of WIndows 8?

It makes sense for a Tablet have a touchscreen. A valve system, I would like to live without a touchscreen.

I would like to disable the touchscreen disabled if a machine is not in tablet mode. However, I can't find any API to do it on Windows 8. in Windows Mobile, there are APIs such as DisableTouch and EnableTouch. I wish I had such somethings on Windows 8 Pro. When the touch screen is disabled, the OS will never be aware of activity on the touch screen.

    Is anyway to do this?

    Thank you

    First run Memtest86 +:
It runs from a floppy disk or CD and should eliminate or confirm if your one or more of your memory
sticks are bad or the values of the SPD in the BIOS are correct.
Let it run for as long as you can: 2,4,6,8 or several hours (at least 3 full passes), if no errors, then your RAM is OK.

Test your drive with the car manufacture utility.

I have Windows XP - Pro.  The "Print Scr" button does not work and niether is the combination of keys 'Alt + P'.  My keyboard is not an "F LOCK" / key "F Lock feature" because it has a "Num Lock" key  There's no other keys on my key Board that suggest even a '___Lock' of any kind.  If not, how can I get this feature.  Oh... and one more thing, Microsoft/people sending responses to others, here, to "Social responses" can you try to be a little more specific with what you're talking about?  As your knowledge is greatly appreciated by many, many of us are unfamilliar with computers and have NO idea what you're referring to.  When Microsoft did not find something or is just lazy to do so, he advises people to "ask the administrator of the computer.  I'm the "computer administrator", but I'm inexperienced! How does it work?  Thank you all.

????  I'm not sure I understand your question. You download the drivers to a place, you will find them, as the office. If you want to put them on a USB stick, copy the files downloaded to the key and take it to the computer target. Copy the files on the computer desktop. Double-click on a file and it will unpack the installation routine starts. Follow the installation wizard. Reset when said to repeat as needed until all the drivers, etc are installed. Subsequently, you can delete the downloaded files from Dell (from installation .exe). MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  • My Windows XP pro would not let me change the option 'Use the home screen', so I removed a vital .dll file. I can't start Windows now!

My Windows XP pro would not let me change the "Use welcome screen" option under: user accounts/change the way users connect or power off.

He gave a message to the effect (I forgot to write it!) "a recently installed program does not change this setting. Search in the file named "RtlGina2.dll for a clue. So as silly as I can be, I did a search, finds the file RtlGina2.dll in the Windows/System32 folder and cut and paste on my desk. My thought was to isolate this file to see if it will address the problem of not being able to change the option use Windows screen.

Now, I can't run Windows! It gives a message that this file RtlGina2.dll is not found! Specifically, it says, User Interface failure. The UI for logon RtlGina2.dll DLL failed to load. Contact your system administrator to replace the DLL or restore the original dll.

How can I replace the dll if I can't even get started? Help, please! I know just enough to get me in trouble I see.

    WyoPathfinder,
Are you able to boot mode safe mode with command prompt?  If Yes, then you can search for the file "dir /s /a RtlGina2.dll" lists the location where you moved to.  Then you can just copy (path\filename) c:\Windows/System32\(filename)

If you do not work in safe mode, then you can boot from a XP disc and go into the recovery console and do the same thing.

Hope that helps. QQ learn manage!
