  My goal (and thousands of other users of Windows 8) are to save the batteries without be pestered constantly to enter my password - but at the same time to preserve the security of the computer.
  My goal is the following:
  -Screen could sleep in X minutes (to save power) without the computer
  -Lock the computer when the computer goes to sleep in X + Y minutes.
  I intentionally left the details that are not important. • Window is maximized, but not in format full screen

  I have a laptop HP, Pavilion dv5. My problem: I open a window, but the right side is stopped by an imaginary line about 2 inches on the side of the screen (in other words, it does not whole screen).   Press the Windows logo key and the p key, and then set up the PC to display on the built-in monitor only cycle through with the arrow key.  You can make this Store if you want - key Windows-p, right arrow once, paused for a few seconds & the laptop monitor should then appear normally.

  Note that you can work with two screens and drag and drop the image to display on the other window.

  I think you mean working temporarily with the window enlarged image without displaying all the tools and panels.

  My advice: take the time to read the above help and especially to look at ways to maximize this window if you are on Mac or Win.

  Set your preferences in the Edit menu to "allow the floating windows in expert mode.
