Re: Cannot retrieve Satellite L300-1AS - hardware problem?

Dear Sir

My laptop had been hanged for last week while he was working, whether caused by a blurry screen or a power failure. The adapter has been replaced I thought it might come from the power outlet. But the socket finer, when the laptop was opened.

Due to no such problems have been has spent in safe mode, I tried to re install the OS from the original recovery disk. However, the system couldn t reach nothing more the OS 3/6 file decompression.
But he was able to browse the web page to ubundu from the trial (no installation), but again got stuck within minutes.
A technician told me it s with card memory; I replaced it, but didn t work.

Now, another person after that one day the review concluded that, being the screen GET blurred it's a fault with graphics cards and buy only comes around 150 euros.

So it would be grateful if any of you can find the correct solution, where I think if repairs cost more than more than 200 euros better off buying a new.

> So it would be grateful if any of you can find the correct solution, where I think if the repair will cost more than more than 200 euros better off buying a new.

I think it is s hardware related problem, but I can't say with certainty what part is malfunctioning.
It may be a motherboard problem and in this case the motherboard needs to be replaced

Motherboards are more expensive pieces of mobile phones I think you can get a new motherboard for 300-350 you should consider the cost of such replacement and in most cases it's better to buy a new laptop to replace this part.

  • Cannot retrieve Satellite L300 using HARD drive recovery option

    Hello

I'm trying to restore to factory settings but have no luck.

I tried pressing F8 when the toshiba logo comes back, it goes to the screen of boot in advance and I select computer repair and it boots to windows. I don't get the recovery options.
I also tried pressing zero when switching on the laptop just rings home.

    What im I doing wrong?

It is a vista running L300-149

As I see all you do is right.
Turn on your laptop and press F8 several times and you will enter the Advanced startup options

The first option should be repair your computer and after two or three steps, you should see The System Recovery Options , and last option there Toshiba recovery.

Have you used this recovery options in the past or you are trying to use it for the first time?

  • Satellite L300-1AS - load and operate on battery

I have a Satellite L300-1AS, running Vista. The computer began recently to show it is "connected, charge", but does not actually charge. Start the computer normally to aid decision-making of current, however if disconnected from the electrical network and the laptop died (no charge in the battery).

I thought that he could have the power adapter, but I also have an older toshiba which has the same exact power adapter, I tried it and it works on both machines (and two adapters to charge the old laptop)

Then I thought that maybe it's the battery and bought a new battery (the computer is under warranty, but I needed it fast). The new battery will not charge, but shows 6% charge.

Then, I thought it might be corruption under Vista, so have returned the computer to its factory settings, by reinstalling the software. It has not yet solved the problem.

I also tried a few other ideas I found in Google.

I feel that this problem is perhaps something to do with THE system BIOS, I have tried to re - install, but it won't let me, and I can't find a way to return to a previous version.

Anyone know where I can find an older version of BIOS for my machine and how to change it to an earlier version? It is currently the latest version V1.90 from the Toshiba site.

    Hello

This really strange boyfriend s but to me it sounds like a hardware problem... I think it might be the motherboard issue. Maybe the card mother doesn t charge the battery properly.

In my opinion the best way would be if a cell phone technician would check your laptop. They can test the motherboard and all other parts.
I doubt that s a BIOS because you problem n t have the problem for the first time.

    Hello!

You can start in safe mode?

I tried a bit with Google and I founded out that the problem could be due to perhaps the HARD drive. In your case I would test with Drive Fitness Test:
    http://www.HitachiGST.com/HDD/support/download.htm#DFT
With the Drive Fitness Test, you can test your HARD drive. Download the CD image, burn it to a CD and boot from it. Then you can test the HARD drive.

  • Re: Satellite L300-1AS - unable to connect via a WLAN

    Anyone, please help.

    My L300-1AS connects not wireless.

The switch on the front is on and to the left, the F8 function key turns on the light and offshore, but even with it on, when I try to connect to a network it tells me that it cannot find. The diagnosis tells me to make sure that the wireless feature that it is. I'm sitting on top of the router and using another PC for this type so that the signal is there.

I looked in Device Manager and in adapters network and when I do properties on the Intel(r) wireless WiFi link 5100 he says its working properly. The 'Update Driver' button tells me his up-to-date.

It's as much as I think I'm able to check.

    Any help please.

    Hello

I have a Satellite L300 too but it s a L300-10 q, but it should be very similar to yours
In any case, the hardware switch on the front of the laptop must be on the right side. On my laptop on the right side is marked with and the left side with judgment.
    Check again!
If you are not sure, take a look in the user manual.

In addition you can enable/disable WLAN with FN + F8.

If it doesn't work you should try to update the WLAN driver on your laptop. See the Toshiba WLAN portal for a newer version:

There is just one problem: my PC is not loading properly. There are always about a 1/50
lucky, I have to play with the inputs and output for all 5-10 minutes each
I plug it in time. I had this problem before (about two months ago) where I sent it
Back to the store and they fixed. I was able to pick up there is still almost a month
    and everything worked properly again.

It's really, really frustrating and I hope there is a solution simple sorta.
Anyone who is familiar with this problem and to know what exactly is the problem?

    Thank you in advance.

This kind of technical problems, there is no simple solution.
If you have a serious issue with load problem, it is probably related to electronic power supply and it must be checked by authorized personnel only.

Tell me but honestly: what can you fix these problems?

  • Error messages when you try to retrieve satellite L300 Vista

I have a Satellite L300, which keeps freezing upwards so when I tried to do a recovery I got an error message 10 D 045 fa12 and when I tried to completely erase the disk, I got an error of the FFE 20 045D

This unit was sent to toshiba for repair and technicians said there was nothing wrong with the unit, but my research tells me there is probably a fault requiring the replacement of the HARD drive - so now that my warranty just expired do - what I do? Can I still take the unit for repair since the issue of original warranty has never properly addressed? or is there a way I can fix the error?

If the warranty has expired, this can be a problem now, but I wonder why you did not react immediately when you saw that there is a problem.
On this forum, you can find several threads with the same problem and if you have time try to read this that people writing here.

I can imagine there is problem with HARD drive, the HARD drive can be replaced but you can do it alone.
It's really not a big deal.

  • Satellite L300-1AS - error PXE - boot error - will not boot from USB

Startup error - error PXE-L300 1AS - will not boot from USB

I recently bought a new HD to replace the original that my laptop takes an hour to load.

I put the new drive hard at in the BIOS setting, I chose to boot from USB... USB is recognized as it appears on the screen of the BIOS. I disabled the LAN option as it gives me PXE error... I think that the USB files are not read. as I handed the old HD and attached to boot from USB but it just goes to the start screen.

I thought that perhaps I bought the wrong HD, but a new appeared on the BIOS setting... I'm a bit confused and would appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction...

Any help or advice will be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.
    Abul

New HARD drive has nothing to do with it. Problem must be your USB key.
In your ad you didn t wrote what is on it, and we don t know if USB can operate as boot device or not.

I put t know what OS you want to install right now but original recovery DVDs or use Microsoft installation disc and install Win7 32 bit. I ve installed on friends L300 and it works perfectly.
