  Recently I formatted my computer a HP/Compaq C700 laptop computer * and reinstalled Win. XP on it, but for some reason that I can't find the CD for the drivers. So, I went online and downloaded the drivers for my laptop on the HP support site, but they were of no use. I don't know how it happened, but this site, to the best of my knowledge, have the Audio and display drivers for my machine.

  I've combed through the other places and I came up empty.

  Any suggestions on how to get them?

  PS - I am a sub a deadline and I would be really grateful for a quick response. Thank you.

  Most hardware drivers with regard to laptops, are written specifically for the operating system that they are supplied with. If you have vista, you're going to have a tough go get xp to work. You can try the vista drivers and see if they work. Search drivers xp for the hp product or try the manufacturers website. Don't forget to make your recovery discs before performing any software os installs.

  I've never heard of the second PCI device you listed and suggest you check again the material or the description of the device ID.

  You will have to contact HP support for your region. They should be able to access the control system to get an idea of what happened in the order. I know that in the United States, the market the best shipping option may take 1-2 weeks for the worst case scenario. Once again, the procedures of what past doesn't seem to be a real HP repair/service process. They should probably be aware of what has happened to check that the repairs are going as they should.
