Re Firefox App on my Android phone. Why does' subject: House "always fill the search box when I go to Firefox browser?

Hello. Install Mozilla Firefox app yesterday and have been setting up even. To continue on the 'Question' above: why when click you on the box it will highlight all ' on: House "orange then you must delete it each time before it allows you to enter your search?" More strange? Is a "feature" or am I missing something in the settings? (Quite possible). Thanks in advance. Brian

You are having problems with the search bar on the right end of the toolbar or from the search box in one of the internal pages of Firefox, for example the integrated home page or the new tab page?

With the search in the toolbar bar, normally, as soon as you start typing, or if you click it with the text already in it, the button panel descends. What is happening? While you type there may be suggestions for your default search engine. You get? And finally to search you can press enter or click on the arrow. No results?

  • Why does Mozilla have no options of search engine on my computer?

I recently had to install Chrome on my computer to access a program that would not open using Firefox. Then I had to uninstall and reinstall Firefox. Now there is no search engine options. In the Options window, no names appear in the drop-down list to select a search engine. Restore the default engine does nothing. In the search bar of Firefox, nothing happens when I click on the arrow next to the search icon - no names, no nothing and when I have something to search for, enter by pressing enter, and by clicking on the arrow to go to the search box doesn't do anything. What is missing?

  • Why is there no default search engine in the search box?

I have reset the search box on the upper right side but Firefox has no search engine default or any other person, so I can't do a search.

  • After first load FF and I typed something in the search box, I type several words, then clears the box and I have to re-enter my search words. Why?

Loading Firefox 8 I frequently get right into the search box to enter something I want. Usually I can type two or three words, then remove it from the box. I then re - type my search words. It seems that after the first load there is a delay the program refreshes then so what I typed in the search box, I have to enter a second time.

Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).

Thanks to Chris who answered the questionnaire.

I had not restarted after you disable the SearchMenu. After you restart, it would seem that the problem was, in fact, SearchMenu. That was my suspicion. Once finding highlights a 'word' SearchMenu interrupts to offer her services. I guess I'll post on their advice, to see if there is a solution.

I should have restarted before posting. My apologies. Relocation of the recruit.

  • Why can I not connect to the Intranet United when I can do it in Internet explore

In the past, I have had no problems to connect to the intranet of the secure site. Now, after that I updated Firefox I get a message indicating that a security problem.
When I go on Internet Explorer, I have no problem connecting to the intranet site for United.

Does the error 'weak Diffie-Hellman ephemeral key? Someone else mentioned get a few weeks on an employee United Web site.

If this is the error you get, the server attempts to use an obsolete encryption encryption algorithm that is vulnerable to the attack of the impasse that was in the news earlier this year.

    What does that mean?

Even if you trust the server, a "dead end" attack compromised the security of your individual connection on the server, a lowering of the protection normally provided by SSL to a level that is easily cracked and read by others on the network. This is why Firefox protects you to establish this connection.

    What can you do now?

The best solution is to update the server. Please ask for the protection of everyone! However, I suspect this is out of your control and could not happen soon. To work around the problem, you can try to disable these old ciphers in your Firefox, which I hope it will force the server to try some more secure encryption algorithms when connecting with you. Here's how:

    (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    (2) in the search above the list box, type or paste dhe and make a pause so that the list is filtered

    (3) double-click the preference security.ssl3.dhe_rsa_aes_128_sha to true to false (disable Firefox to use this encryption)

    (4) double click on the security.ssl3.dhe_rsa_aes_256_sha preference from true to false (disable Firefox to use this encryption)

Try again the server; You may need to reload the page using Ctrl + Shift + r to ignore information in cache.

    Success?

  • The homepage of Firefox will not develop my text in the search engine when I am connected to my Google account. In other words, when the top of the page is enabled (that is, the bar tabs allow you to read: + you, search, Images, videos, Maps, news, etc.).

What is happening in the screenshots is identified on the left in black text. Basically, I don't see the search field bar. I can still type and get results, but the text I typed will not appear.

Please note that the Google bar upstairs is turned on because I'm connected. Now look what happens when I log out of it:

I run on Windows 7 64 bit. I have the most updated version of Firefox. I run Adblock Plus, NoScript, and Greasemonkey as addons. Note that disabling of all persons does not solve the problem: only signature of my Google account.

It's a very interesting discovery. A few people have reported this. But we thought it was Google break this page purposely because they intend to remove this special Firefox search page. They think it's too old and want people to upgrade to the most recent. But I'm still not sure why being connected to Google breaks this page (and signing patches), I believe that Google is here at fault and must update the code on this page.

The new search page Google for Firefox is:

    topic: Home

    Screenshot:

    http://i.minus.com/iewA9S.PNG

This is a special page that is integrated into the Firefox browser. That's why he has a weird Web site address that does not resemble the normal sites that use http://www., .com, .net, or. org.

  • How to change the search engine when you use the functionality of Firefox Home button Search?

In Firefox itself, I have configured duckduckgo as my default search provider.

But when I use the host Firefox search button it is always defined on google and I don't see any possibility to change that?

I love the Firefox Home button Search (or whatever we call it) otherwise, but it's annoying that it does not use the default Firefox.

I use the Google Launcher now.

Hi mrt181, it is planned to use the same search engine as in firefox - however, there is a bug at the moment, so it does not apply in all situations.
usually, it will be enough to change the default engine in firefox back once to work around the problem in the search widget and get the same as set in the browser search provider.

  • When you open gmail in firefox, the search box will automatically display the e-mail address of someone, how can I avoid this?

An e-mail address automatically appears in the google gmail search box. This only occurs when you start Firefox and click anywhere clears the contents of the box. This anomaly did occur on a single machine, not on my laptop, which is sync to the machine in the concerns. It does not occur in Google Chrome, etc.
Small problem, but annoying nonetheless... we're never careful enough with viruses and tastes.
