  • Err2Err3 error after recovering Vista with recovery disk.

    Looking for help please.

I have a laptop hp DV2410us. My hard drive of 160 GB is just came out, so I put a 320 GB drive at 7200 RPM and 2 new cards memory sticks for a total of 2 GB. The same memory type more then it came with. I ordered the hp recovery disk. everything seems to load ok, but it keeps restarting after it enters windows and all programs has finished start up. As norton and windows sidebar. There is a small popped up tht box for perhaps a second down on the menu bar tht has been one of the downloaders of system files. Its called fbi Director of mistletoe, I think tht was the name. I tried to click on it until windows stops and looks like it is trying to pull up a screen but closes and the system stops.

I'll check back every hour approximately. And let me know if you need more information about the system.

Update: I have advanced and tried to reinstall vista with the recovery disk. It's always the same thing with restarts it. But now it came with a black screen with the word err2err3 on the upper left of the screen. I even restarted the thing several times and tried to use f11.

Could I have to change something on the new hard drive?

  • How to install Vista from recovery disks?

HP Pavilion a6722sc, Vista 32 bit operating system.

My hard drive warns against "imminent failure".

I'll have to buy a new hard drive.

I have the Vista recovery disks.

HP says that recovery disks are only for repair purposes, do not to install a new window.

Could someone please give some advice on

How can I install Vista on the new hard drive?

    / L

If the recovery discs came from HP or they are the ones that you made when the computer is new, then they will (or should) restore the computer to "like new" even on a new hard drive.

My hard drive warns against "imminent failure" can save all data, pictures, music, etc. before the disk dies.

Replace the drive before it dies, and perhaps that the data can be copied to the new disk - or try this:

There is another thing that you could do that provide the Windows key is always visible on your COA sticker.  Since it was a multi-configurable system you should know it was professional, Home Premium or ultimate edition. Please be aware that what I propose will not contain the goodies HP provided with recovery disks, you will need to reinstall all your programs and data.

Go to this site and download the version of Windows 7 ISO which matches what you had initially and have your key ready.

    http://www.heidoc.NET/Joomla/technology-science/Microsoft/14-Windows-7-direct-download-links

Once downloaded the file ISO, you can burn on a DVD using the Windows 7 DVD drive or another DVD burner you have:

The recovery set supplied with the computer should find the default computer.  Probably will not even need to enter the key.

Don't forget to patch (probably manually) with SP1 and SP2 after you're done.  Then download the updates (MUCH) released after that.

  • How Formatt Satellite A200 with recovery disk

    People...

I currently own a Satellite A200 and I contain the recovery disc. I have 2 hard drives, 1 with vista, 1 with all the stuff not install as a music. I want to formatt the discs with the recovery disk. I formatted the C drive with vista before, but I don't remember how once again.

When you use recovery disk for the installation of operating system of the first HARD drive will be formatted completely. This means that all partitions and data will be gone. Second HARD drive can be formatted in Vista.

So now install new OS by using recovery image.
Start your laptop and press F12 will be bootable devices
Place the recovery media in the optical disc drive
In the list, select CD/DVD and press ENTER
Follow the menu on the screen (for the most part, you must press button NEXT)

  • Satellite A300-1lT - I want to restore Vista with recovery option

    Hello world

With my Toshiba nothing but problems. First of all, I waited replacement screen for months cause it wasn t all at the warehouse. K, after that I went down to XP but pilot are buggy, sound is poor, cannot get USB 2.0 to work, the system is slower that Vista so I decided to go back to Vista.

But of course, there is no DVD so I need to restore via the restoration of HARD drive folder that I have. But cool, Toshiba doesn't let me to download the utility to create a backup DVD. So what can I do? I have HDD Recovery folder, how now create DVDs without utility that first of all they gave me.

    PS.
You can say s not Toshiba fault; you did that blah blah. Of course, but first I waited replacement screen, I have original Vista DVD by wasn t given, I can't even download Toshiba utility. What sad piece of equipment. I have the experience, my first OS installed was BACK and Win95, many OS installation, after that, but I install back my OS in 2009 would not be hoping that its going to happen.

All the ideas you good ppl

Sorry mate, but in this case you need a new recovery disk. The HDD Recovery folder is not useful to you because you do not have Windows Vista and as you already know that the Toshiba recovery disc creator cannot be downloaded.

You must order a new disc of a Toshiba authorized service provider directly:

To be honest, this is not a problem of Toshiba. If you start the laptop for the first time, you get the following message and should not be ignored:

  • Where can I get a Vista system recovery disk.

I have recently upgraded to Windows 7.  I have problems with Windows 7 and must restore Vista and reload Windows 7. I get a black screen.

If you mean a drive where you can install a copy clean and complete the version of Vista that you had when you bought first the machine (assuming Vista came with the machine), then you must contact the manufacturer who usually will sell you at a modest price recovery disks.  If your system has / had a recovery partition, he may not been afferected by the upgrade.  In this case, it may be possible to use it to either restore Vista directly or to create a set of recovery disks Vista (you can ask manufacturing and ask how to access the partition if you have a (or will another assuming that you do not delete the upgrade) and how to use it to make recovery disks.)  You may need your Vista product key to activate it before making the upgrade to Windows 7 (or who may not necessary if you use recovery discs - it depends sometimes).

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Windows 7 installed on my recovery disk - can I remove it?

HI - Windows 7 settled on my recovery disc and left intact the Windows Vista. There is not enough space on the recovery disk to install the updates. So... is it safe to delete all my recovery disc and start? I don't want to do is to find I deleted versions, of course. (I assume that Vista is on my C drive, but how can I be sure?)

    Hello

Assuming that the C:\ drive still has Windows Vista installed. You can start on Windows Vista and format the drive D:\, who has installed Windows 7. Then, you can start a new installation of Windows 7. In this case, if you try to install Windows 7 without formatting the drive D:\, will give you an option to select the operating system you want to start with, because there will be multiple operating systems installed on two discs.

During the installation of Windows 7, make sure that you select the right drive on which you want to install the operating system.

Installation and reinstallation of Windows 7

Let us know if that helps.

  • How to install the OS, recovery disks give "CDBOOT: could not find the BOO." Error MGR ".

My computer, a Pavilion a6110n (a few years), had to have the hard drive erased because of a virus that has deeply infected in Vista Home Premium. To reinstall Vista, I tried using the recovery discs HP than the guys at Best Buy is when we bought the computer.

At startup (with the CD group first in the boot order), I get an error-"CDBOOT: cannot find the BOO." BISHOP. "

What could be my problem? I tried other discs to restore to another brand of computer (also made by Best Buy) and I get no BOO. MGR error, only an error specific to the manufacturer I can only assume means that I can't use the floppy drive in my HP. could my Best Buy-made restore disks to be missed altogether Boot Manager? If so, how are we dealing with the repair without spending money?

Here's a noob question, too: these recovery re discs - installed Vista or I'm completely screwed? Thanks in advance for your comments

You can order the HP recovery media for about $20. Indeed, the set formed by Best Buy seems very defective. Dynex is a cheap brand of the DVD and for the price, I bet what they charged for this ' extra service ' they should have used a good quality brand.

BTW, you could have done the same thing for free, apart from the cost of a few HP machines with the software installed to burn a set of recovery DVD.

You could also "disappeared" the clean hard disk by starting on HP Recovery Manager to a formatting and reinstalling.
