Re-install Windows 7 from Dell reinstallation DVD fails with "cannot configure Windows for your hardware.

I have to do a ground up to Windows 7, re - install media re-installing Win7 provided, due to the failure of the hard drive (so no available recovery partition).  The machine is a XPS 9000 (circa 2010).   The first phase (partitioning, file copy and extraction) works very well.  However, when I restart in Windows for the first time since the hard drive, I get a message that Windows install can not configure Windows to my hardware.  The only option is to recognize and to restart (which gives the same message).  Subsequent reboots just to say that the Windows installation cannot be completed and restart to install Windows.

Clues to this topic?  I have no new hardware in the machine which would be incompatible with this disc to re - install (admittedly old and probably non - SP1).  I wonder if the drive is missing in fact support that they put in the installation image factory.  My next step is to get a Dutch Win 7 installation disc (probably with SP1) to see if it works.  Other thoughts?

Belarc Advisor only gives you the product key of the registry which, for installation OEM Dell will be a SLP key. This will be different from the key on the COA and can be activated manually by entering it during installation.

The key on the certificate of authenticity can be introduced during the installation and this activation requires a call to Microsoft.

Key/OEM SLP activation can be applied to a retail facility without a product key by using the program and cert ABR files which I saved for installs with the Dell reinstallation DVD:

http://dellwindowsreinstallationguide.com/a-clean-install-of-Windows/Microsoft-product-activation/the-activation-backup-and-recovery-program-Windows-Vista-7-version/

Although Windows view (s) and begins to install it on the hard drive, it could be an art of hiccups the end with the HDD and loading SATA drivers can always solve this problem.

I have a Dell Inspiron 19. The Dell of Dell diagnostics disk utilities & drivers say all right. It is a Seagate 320 GB drive. I installed the drive on another computer and used sea tools to erase the disc.  Then I created a partition and marked as "bootable".

When I try to use the Dell reinstallation DVD Windows 7 Home premium SP1 64-bit, it crashes when is about to display the windows logo.  A few pixels logo show and then it's there.  Any ideas?  I worked on it for several days.  Really a "stumper" for me and I did something like that for years!

Original problem seems to be a massive viral infection (owner had no active antivirus software installation!) which led to the non-bootable computer.  After working on this for a while, I decided to just do again it.

  • need an iso file to install windows for windows vista Home premium 32-bit

I have a product key, but need Windows vista Home Premium (32 bit) ISO because I lost the part recovery partition

    Hello

There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

To reinstall Vista using their recovery disk/s, you start from the 1st recovery disk they provide and follow the manufacturer's instructions to reinstall:

You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order:

How to change the Boot order in BIOS:

    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/SS/bootorderchange.htm

"How to replace Microsoft software or hardware, order service packs and replace product manuals.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/326246

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

"How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html

And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

    Hello

    The problem is solved now.

    Solution:

    1. Select the Windows 'Start'-> 'Run'-> 'regedit '.

    2. in the registry editor, navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Services/beasvc /Parameters

    3. double-click the variable 'CmdLine' and change the 'value data' of "-client" to "-Server". For example change:

    -client-Xms32m-Xmx200m - XX: MaxPermSize = 128 m etc...

    TO:

    -Server-Xms32m-Xmx200m - XX: MaxPermSize = 128 m etc...

    Its been bugging me.

  • Can I install the OS from the recovery DVD?

    Hello
is what I want to know, if it is possible to install the OS (Vista) of DVD of recovery after formatting the HARD drive and installing XP.

    I have a satellite L30-113.

    Thank you

    Hello

Yes, it should be possible. If you want to clean up the entire HARD drive and simply want Vista on your computer, and you have a recovery with Vista, then it shouldn´t be
    a big problem.

Just put the recovery cd in the player, press "F12" to choose the media that you want to start (in this case, your CD/DVD drive :)) and follow the instructions.)

If you have any additional questions, just ask. :)
    Welcome them

  • Laptop on which i installed windows for £ 150 s stole what I can disable stolen windows in this laptop and install again in my new laptop?

So I bought a laptop computer in a store with windows 7, but I want to recover my last windows 8 that I bought for my laptop earlier which has now been stolen. Is it possible to do also, I would like to disable windows from my other laptop stolen one. How can I be able to do? I have received and all billing.
A healthy suggestion will be appreciated.

    Kind regards.

    Hi Daniel,.

Sorry for the delay in response.

When you have only a single license for the copy of Windows 8 and you tried to reinstall the same copy on a new or different computer and activate it on the new computer, you'll start to get the guests of activation on the old computer to activate windows.

You must activate the copy on the old computer with a new license key or install another version of Windows.

Since you have already activated the copy on a new computer, it will automatically get turned off in the computer else or stolen and Windows 8 on the old computer will start to give the activation of Windows invites you to get the active copy.

Hope the helps of information. Let us know if you need help with Windows related issues. We will be happy to help you.

  • Why should I install windows for VSA?

I bought some VSA licenses for a DMZ environment, where I thought it would be perfect... low performance requirements and some HA at an affordable price. I also intend to buy it for all of our small satellite offices. But then I discovered that I couldn't use the new device of vcenter and instead, I have to install mgmt vcenter & vsa on a windows server... say it isn't so!

Are there plans to allow a vsa, using the device of vcenter linux configuration? We vcenter on windows/sql for our large environments but I was really looking forward to the simplicity and reliability and low cost of linux for kids installs.

The new VSA is written in Java, so nothing prevents VMware more wear to the VCVA. I feel that since the VSA and VCVA 1.0 occurred, once these two have been cooked, you will probably see VSA be taken in charge or running within VCVA. Are a lot of scripts batch that performs the installation, upgrade, restore, etc. then that would need to be re-written in a Linux environment, but there is no technical reason it does not work on VCVA

  • How to remove the selected driver windows for your Android phone if you want to use a different driver such as pdanet?

I am trying to download PDAnet found at http://junefabrics.com/android on my desk so that I can use my T - mobile Mytouch 4 G phone as a modem for internet.  During this process, Setup of hardware for windows installed a pilot Android usb which is not compatible with pdanet.  I was not able to remove this driver or make compadible with the driver that I would use.  I went into Device Manager and tried to uninstall the generic usb driver, but this does not seem to actually remove it. I also tried to update the driver, and it does not work either.  I rebooted the computer several times and run updates of Windows (just the ones he can do without internet).

On my desktop computer's operating system is Microsoft Windows XP Professional, version 5.1.26. I did not send this email from the computer with the problem because, well, I HAVE no INTERNET on this computer.  Help, please!

    Hi Virginia,

The pilot , you need to download. Once install you on the machine it will then detect the Mytouch 4 G phone.

Also you can see the T-Mobile Forums of below with all the problems associated with Pdanet.

  • VAIO does not start. Reinstall the drive C with dvd fails with the error 320. Good repair dvd?

I had a virus attack that caused the Vaio reboot continuously with blue screen - every 20 minutes.

Went to safe mode and created reinstall DVD.

However, it reinstalls properly and - error code 320.

Material is perfectly well based on material tests.

The dvd is maybe bad? What are my options?

Where can I get a dvd which is good?

Is it possible to recreate DVDs using the recovery partition?

    Please notify.

You will not be able to create the recovery partition recovery disks.  This must be done back in windows.

Error 320 may mean bad disc recovery, defective hard drive or bad memory in most cases.  I would replace in that order.

This sounds like a permissions Windows 8.1 user problem. I have installed Lightning in TB on Windows XP, 7 and various flavors of Linux with no problems at all. I do not use Windows 8.

When I fall on installation issues, and it is any program, not just TB, it's because I try it on the computer at work where the IT Department controls what simple end users are allowed to do.
