  I recently installed ColdFusion Security Hotfix APSB12-06 (http://helpx.adobe.com/coldfusion/kb/coldfusion-security-hotfix.html).

  I tried this ad in the general area of CF with no response, two weeks ago so I thought I would try here.

  I applied the fix, last week and everything seemed to work, thought everything was fine.

  It turns out that forms which were functioning smoothly suddenly generated error 500 with no indication as to the real issue.

  These forms are simple fill it, create a pdf file, view the file.  Nothing too creative.  With no error message and nothing to tell me what is happening with this, I was forced to unload and hf901 - 00005.jar and back to hf901 - 00003.jar

  It's all working again, but I would really like to have the security patch AND have my forms work.

  Yes (I lived exactly the same problem when filling out PDF forms after upgrade to CF10) and there is actually 2 questions here (but the problems do not focus on the PDF).  In short, there is a solution.  I'll explain:

  First issue: Tomcat errors are not written on start.log or exception.log.  That's why you see no error logged.  This is Bug #3126106 and is marked fixed in CF10 (I haven't checked it, but need of.)  This is a note-to-self. = P).  However, I'm not sure if this problem is fixed in CF 9.0.2.

  Second question: as apsb12-15 States:

  -----------

  1. This hotfix has a new setting in ColdFusion, limit of the message parameter. This setting limits the number of parameters in a post request. The default value is 100. If a post request contains several such parameters as specified, the server does not process the request and throws an exception. This process protects against DoS attacks using hash collisions. This setting is different from message size limit (ColdFusion Administrator > settings > maximum size of post data). This setting is not exposed in the console of the ColdFusion administrator. But you can easily change this limit in the file of neo - runtime.xml. See point 5 below.
  2. Customers who want to change the postParameterLimit, go to the {ColdFusion-Home} / lib for Server Installation or {ColdFusion-home} / WEB-INF/cfusion/lib multiserver or J2EE installation. Open the neo - runtime.xml file, after the line

  Add the line below, and you can change the desired number 100.

  Basically, the Tomcat error (which you don't see) is thrown b/c the form attempts to display more than 100 areas.  So just do as it says above: Add this line in bold and replace 100.0 w / a number high enough to cover the number of fields in your form.

  I note that CF10 allows this setting to be set via the settings page of the CF Admin via the parameter 'Number Maximum of POST request parameters'.

  CF 10 docs seem a little thin on the configuration object and silent installation / silent / scripted.

  I need to find a fully automated (scripted) way to do these things:

  (1) installation of ColdFusion server in stand-alone mode 10

  (2) create instances of additional servers

  (3) configure separately each server instance (parameters, data sources, mappings, etc.)

  It is currently possible with CF 10? If Yes, where is the documentation?

  I aim a cookbook from Chef to perform installations without assistance of CF10 on a farm of Linux guests without a head. Manual configuration through the user administrator interface is a deal breaker defined here.

• MX7 installation problem

  Once more, I came across MX7 installation on a Windows 2003 server problems. It seems that each installation is an adventure. I followed the suggestions in the Adobe technote (linked below), to install the MX with the ability to use the built-in web server, and then manually add the IIS connector. It worked, but now I'm stuck with the folder cfide on the C: drive (where MX7 is installed, but in the wwwroot folder that was installed for the built-in web server).

I want to move it to the appropriate document root (on another drive, I prefer not to have records of web document on the operating system and programs readers, but on a disc dedicated to web data).   I was finally able to get MX running. What a waste of time. In the end, I was able to install it using the installation in silent mode. Which exceeded the access denied errors, and because that it the web server installed by default, it exceeded the JNDI error. This left me with the CFIDE mapping as soon as I said to use IIS.   Try this first: what happens if you start in safe mode (hold down the SHIFT key during startup), the problems go away?

  Try this second in normal startup mode: what happens if you create a new user account and log in as that user, the problems go away?

  If I understand your message to the right, at the opening of the calendars for the first time after upgrading to Mac OS Sierra, you are missing calendar events and the app is frozen with a message saying "moving to Server account schedules. Calendars, this is one of my apps used on my Mac, so I certainly understand the importance of having the opening and operating as usual. I'm happy to help you to turn it on again!

  Icloud and a signature was an excellent step to try. Here are the steps I recommend to do next:
  

  1. Check that the date and time are correct in your Mac by following the steps in macOS Sierra: set the date and time on your Mac.
  2. Close the present calendars on your Mac. If you are also reminders, close that as well as reminders and schedules work together. If the calendars close normally, will not force close it by clicking the  in the upper left corner of your screen, select force to close, select the calendars in the list of open applications, and then click the button close Force.
  3. Go to System Preferences > iCloud and uncheck the boxes next to the calendars and reminders.
  4. Restart your Mac.
  5. A times restarted, open again your calendar application, select "Calendar" in the Apple menu bar in the left corner of your screen, select "Add an account", choose iCloud and sign in with your Apple and the password.
  6. Give your calendar some time to sync and charge all your data. Once it is loaded successfully, and you can see all your events, open the reminders and do the same steps for signing in iCloud there are also well.
