Re-installing upgrade CS5.5 Master collection on the new drive. Workaround solutions?

My hard drive fried, I re downloaded my version of CS5.5 Master collection and put the serial number, but since it's an upgrade, he wants to see the old files before installing. Backup failed. I read the post and you have pretty much done everything I had tried less replacement of files. Furthermore, pipjunkies, I replaced the two files in the folder of the payloads with the 64-bit version, and it installs quickly without error. It sounded like you can have just replaced a.     You can do it, but you don't have to install cs3 in order to install your upgrade of cs5.5.

    You can launch the installation of cs5.5 and you will be asked your cs5.5 serial number.  Setup will ask you then select the product (in a drop-down list) calling.  Select cs3 and you will be prompted for the serial number for cs3.

    Enter the correct number at the right time and to proceed with the installation.

    If you no longer need these programs on your old laptop, disable (help > deactivate) before uninstalling so that you can keep your two activations.

    The only thing you need to worry is all "presets" that you have created yourself. So actions, swatches, brushes, etc. must be saved. Its best to uninstall before installing cs5 cs3 and not after, as this can cause problems with file associations.

    If the second computer that your intend to put cs3 on is your only other computer, you should be able to use cs5 on it instead, that the license is supposed to be for the 2 systems, but only one can run at a time. To my knowledge, this license does consider the version number of the software. So if cs5 if on your new system and a laptop for example, do not put cs3 on a third computer because the license is for what I assume to be an upgrade.

    If you have paid the full price, then the last paragraph is a moot point.

    Snowwhitebunny it's because Adobe Download Assistant does not have permission to download the installation files in your Applications folder.  I'm surprised that you have not received an error message in Adobe Download Assistant himself.  I recommend trying download again and this time by choosing your user folder or desktop.  Once the download is complete the installation program launches automatically.

    Hello! Yesterday, I reinstalled the operating system of my computer and restored the files through backup, to realize that none of my apps has survived the transition. Most of them is back today, with the exception of CS5.5 Master Collection. I could download the product and find my serial number on my account, and thought everything was fine.

    Not quite. 10 seconds, with message to reboot and retry the installation will fail. Does not help restart.

    I looked in the Setup logs and pulled out the following warning and error messages:

    I kind of really need my software back soon for a school project with a deadline approaching, therefore no help to determine exactly what is the problem and why he settled it would be appreciated!

  • CS5.5 Master Collection downloaded, but Photoshop does not

    I am currently using Windows 7 Ultimate on a PC and I downloaded the trial version of CS5.5 Master Collection from Adobe and Photoshop is the program I want to test... but for some reason any it is working properly. When I start Photoshop, it opens fine, but when I try to open a picture to change, it gives me a Message of ERROR, then stop the application. What about other programs, they seem to work, but I have not tried to check all out them.

    Here is the message I get when I try to OPEN the image to change:

    "We encountered the following problems: setup initialization failed." This could be due to a missing file. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem. »

    But, when I click on the link Support Advisor in the pop-up window, it opens a new tab that says "Adobe Support Advisor has been abandoned", then it returns me on the support forum for assistance.

    1. can I remove Photoshop x 64 Adobe in program files, since you can't do it in the Add/Remove Programs section without removing the entire Master Collection. Then, download Adobe Photoshop as a single program and add it to the adobe folder? Or would I need to do something else...?

    2. can someone please tell me what I should do to get the Photoshop work, or how to fix the installer?

    Try the suggestions by kglad in this discussion in which a user has experienced a similar problem: failed to initialize the installation of adobe.

    If renaming the folder in OOBE or using the troubleshooting logs does not help, you will have to indeed uninstall, clean using the cleaning tool cloud creative to solve installation problems and reinstall. The uninstall program Adobe in general allows you to remove individual programs within a suite: uninstall Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 or Creative Suite 5.

    To reinstall, you can run the installer from the CS5.5 Master Collection and select Photoshop. I guess you can also download and install the individual version of Photoshop CS5.5, but he will not be part of your collection (location of the record, that I wouldn't recommend, will change in movement).     I hope that you have now installed CS5.5 Master Collection. If this isn't the case, you try to install by transfer? Adobe programs do generally not well migrate. Try instead to download programs directly and then activate with serial number: Download Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 products.

    Hello

    I just installed CS5.5 Master Collection and all went well.

    When I start any application later in that the license agreement comes up and I click on 'Accept' the box disappears then it pops up.

    My choices are 'Quit' or 'Accept' exit loop what its supposed to do and firm in unexpected ways, but accept me just back to the license agreement.

    I uninstalled CS5 and CS5.5 and reinstalled CS5.5 and nothing has changed. I still have installed 11.5 Director.

    It is a Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. CS5.5 Master Collection is a 5 seat license and we have already installed 2 with no problems.

    The fix:

    Delete the file cache db license and start one of the products CS5.5 (I started Photoshop)

    File, they have me remove to make it work

    I am running CS5.5 Master Collection on XP, so 64-bit first and AE do not install it. My documentation says I can run CS4 of Premiere Pro and After Effects by downloading a package of 32-bit support for CS5.5 on my download page. However, that is not only missing a link, but what we call the 'technical support' says they won't give me a link. This is ridiculous, it is true that it is to be included in what I paid for.  The 32-bit support package is on a DVD if you buy the DVD set. Yet supported (a little confused people in the Philippines) told me that 'level 2' will not provide a way to download.

    The documentation says it does, but support will not help.

    I have had three different people looking aimlessly around my computer trying to find the 32-bit package and it was obvious that they had no idea of what they were doing. They have a possitive and interpersonal attitude, but I wish they have better knowledge.

    If someone from Adobe to the United States sees this, please pick up this case ( :0206050914) and told me a way to get the 32-bit support package, or confirm that I'm not allowed to have despite what your web page and download the documentation.
