  I had a problem with my wifi portable computers function. I press fn + f8, and nothing happens at all. The computer does not connect what either, and it is to show a cable ethernet with an X in it down on the bottom right of the desktop. I tried to download drivers for the computer to try to get it working again, and nothing has worked.

  This started all the way back to the factory setting after that I recovered my computer and reinstalled with another disc of Windows 7. I tried to download the 'Toshiba value added package', and has absolutely nothing for me. On a related note, I'm not entirely sure that my fn key is not working properly.

  Literally any help would be appreciated, and I would be more than willing to take all the advice!

  This sentence confused me completely. Fact is that recovery disk contains recovery image and recovery image contains all the necessary drivers and tools and utilities. In General, with the factory settings, everything should be OK and you should be able to use the WLAN connectivity.

  I had firfox version 22 I guess... Now, today morning I upgraded to v 23. It displays a message from one of the plug-in is not compatible with wud and therefore be disabled. now later I still once downloaded the plug in to check if its works or not but TI worked (as I had already guessed), or its display in modules or plug-ins.

  The battery time depends on usage and what you do. For example if you run a large number of programs and work with a high CPU utilization low autonomy and requires AC adapter / CC soon. Also surf the Internet needs battery power.

  How old is your laptop and how long have you used the battery?

  As I remember, the duration of battery life decreases after about 1.5 to 2 years.
  It is approximately 500 loading and unloading procedures.
  For me it s not unusual that the performance of the battery goes down because the similar symptom happens for example with a cell phone battery.
  I think you should ask the Toshiba service partner in your country for the new battery.

  Have you installed the same CPU than before, or have you installed a different CPU?

  I checked the manual of the Satellite 1410 and he normally equipped with an Intel Celeron CPU processor and in my opinion, it is the reason why it doesn't work.

  Maybe you used the battery is not compatible, but AFAIK the PA3534U-1BRS is designed for Satellite A200 A300 L300 L300D
  So it should work.

  However, I recommend buying a battery of origin of Toshiba ASP.

  Contact a local Toshiba authorized service partner and order a new compatible battery for this laptop.

  I think the new battery should work.
