  The ID_ERR_NOTINSTALLTVALZ error message due to an old version of the BIOS.

  It should Flash the newest BIOS with compatible BIOS which can be downloaded from the Toshiba driver page.

  I have a Toshiba Satellite P300 PSPCCA Windows vista ultimate x 64. I can't do my work button soft touch. I downloaded latetest VAT package and installed. After installation it asks to restart but I restart my laptop and I make just restart Flash Card and my button works all good touch app that is silent, Media Player, etc., but once I restart my laptop it stops working.

  I tried the uninstaller and reinstalling but no luck. I read in the forum toshiba on running CCleaner and do a fresh install but still have the same problem.

  Does anyone of you knows how to solve this problem.

  BTW, I got the software AVG internet security on my system, but have added folder toshiba for exclude of realtime scanning just in case if its causing problems but not luck. I searched qurantine folder and its nothing in there.

  Please help me get my work button soft touch.

  I agree with Akuma. All you can do is remove VAP preinstalled system and reinstall the latest version. Why you didn t follow the instructions to restart the computer after the installation of VAP?

  I installed VAP several times on my Satellite P200 and Satellite A300 without any problem, but after installing the latest version, I rebooted phone immediately. The procedure of the facilities has been completed and necessary processes started in the background. I guess that's the problem on your Satellite P300.

  If nothing is done the last step is to install the OS by using the DVD facilities. After doing this you will own preinstalled OS and everything works well again.

  I have Toshiba A200 1N8 and which tent to install value added package to my computer laptop everything seems ok, but nothing chnaged in the configuartion of windows, the keyboard shortcut and function keys do not work.
  I think that changes have not taken effect.
  I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, safe mode... nothing has worked

  How can I solve this problem?

  You must first remove the old version of VAP.
  Then you must download the new VAP for the A200 series right.

  All of a sudden my media keys stopped working.
  I did not any changes made to the system installation of VMware exept. I tried to uninstall value added package, erased reg with CCleaner, then reinstalled VAP.
  Have made several times!

  I have Toshiba Qosmio F50 - 12J and have problems with value-added Package v 1.2.28.

  I can't get flash cards to work. When I press FN key on nothing happens. BTW, I installed VAP on freshly installed Windows 7 64-bit. With the VAP previuos version that I tried on Windows 7, KeNotify.exe broke. Now there is no apparent crash, but nothing happens.

  Also, is there a problem with the utility of the Support Button (which touch). Whenever I reboot my system, all the white light LED on my laptop turned on even though I have them turned off.

  So, could someone confirm that they have a work of value added Package v 1.2.28 on Windows 7 64 bit?

  I had the same problem on my Qosmio F50. The solution is just to install Flash Cards Support utility. This tool is designed for Vista, but I noticed that it also works on Windows 7. Just check the Toshiba page where you can download:

  In addition the lighting buttons work correctly on my F50. You can use them properly, or what happens exactly, if you press one of them?

  By the way: there are two different versions of BIOS on the Toshiba site. You use the BIOS for Windows 64-bit? Check this box!

• New mini optical mouse does not work

  Hi all:

  I used a mini mouse optical for a few years now without a single problem. I just plugged into the USB port, and that's all. Yesterday it died on me, so I bought a new.

  The mouse does not work and the cursor stays frozen at least that I move it using the touchpad on the laptop.

  More information:

  -the little wheel on the mouse will allow me to scroll the page to the bottom, but it's just what works
  -the drivers are all up to date
  -restore the computer to an earlier date
  -run a full virus/malware scan, nothing came
  -USB are good; I tried all ports, including the ports where something else that works has been connected
  -After I restore and connect my mouse in I saw the computer install the latest drivers

  The only thing I can think is that the new mouse is defective but I doubt that. However, it is possible I suppose.

  Can anyone else think of any other possible explanation and how I can solve this problem. Could something changed in the BIOS? Is there a setting that has changed I have to look?

• Brand new Dell 2808 router does not work.

  1. the 2808 is not connected to the internet.

  2. when it is received, the 2808 under tension with the disabled DHCP server and port active routing. It is the default setting. Not good to use normal, but worked as advertised. The DHCP server is usually needed in a small switch. I needed an active DHCP service.

  3. I've changed managed and connected fashion. A "saved to restore configuration screen" appeared. Horrible thing. Trashed the router. There is no saved configuration, the 2808 restarts. 2808 completely stopped working after that.

  4. after resetting 2808, the 2808 seemed no longer routing packets, so nothing works now with the exception of the web client, which does not seem to do anything for the networking.

  5 I did activate the DHCP client and configure the IP pool. However, no routed packets, nothing works. Port au port data routing does not work. The DHCP server is not required to allocate IP addresses.

  6. I paid 80 dollars to a so-called "Dell Customer Service" held to solve the problem. They have failed. It turns out that they did not know how to work the 2808.

  7 I have not understood how to contact customer service the Dell directly for the 2808. Not good. I bought a T7810 workstation in 2015 with 5 years of service from Dell, and I don't know how to contact Dell support technical support. I use the 2808 with the T7810. Both should be covered if the customer service could be found.

  8. bottom line, I bought the 2808 on July 27, 2016, and many hours later my effort and more hours of a consultant, I am frustrated trying to run home mode: a router 8-port 1000-baseTpacket with a DHCP Server enabled. I'm about to box 2808 router back to Amazon because it does not work and cannot be implemented.

  The 2808 PowerConnect doesn't have a console port, so recovery is somewhat limited. If the switch is on firmware version 1.0.0.38 or earlier, then a factory reset can be done by simply changing the transition from managed to not managed and then again. If the switch is on more recent firmware, however, this process does not reset the switch to factory default.

  Being a new switch, it should be under warranty. If the switch is not recoverable, support should be able to get a replacement sent to you.

  This sentence confused me completely. Fact is that recovery disk contains recovery image and recovery image contains all the necessary drivers and tools and utilities. In General, with the factory settings, everything should be OK and you should be able to use the WLAN connectivity.

  I put t understand this part with different Windows discs. If you have installed OS using the original disk of Microsoft that you install all the drivers, tools and utilities more.
  These are two different things, so I put t understand the situation now and what state is your preinstalled operating system now.

  Wireless network card is installed correctly? If so then it must be enabled correctly. This can be done with FN + F8. This option works if PPV is installed.

  Before continue us the discussion my advice to you is to reinstall the recovery image and please test with the factory settings. If the problem persists don t change nothing, but after a few comments and we can look forward to help you.
