Re: Qosmio G - RecordNow cannot start CD «all your drives are set to disabled people»

Hello
How can I get RecordNow (from Sonic) to work?
I'm trying to play CDs, but get «all your drives are set to disabled people»

BR Lars

Hello

Computer laptop Qosmio and OS do you have?
Sonic RecordNow was preinstalled on your laptop? On my Qosmio F50, it is Toshiba Disc Creator pre-installed.

However, have you tried other software like Nero or CD Burner XP burning? Furthermore, a few weeks ago, I tried CD Burner XP. I was very surprised. It s a very small (only a few megabyte s) tool and all the important features are built into this program. And it s freeware!
If you n t want another burning software you should try reinstalling the file now.

Last but not least is your CD/DVD drive recognized in device properly Manager without yellow exclamation points?

Good bye

All records are all my disks are set to read-only. This includes my drive c, d Bank, e-reader and my backup drive.

The files contained in these files are not read-only. How I found out about it, was that I tried to copy / paste a file from one directory to another last night and it was not authorized. Please keep in mind that I am logged on as administrator. There is only one user, me.

I ran a recent analysis of spyware, virus scan and checked the permissions of users. I unchecked the read-only installation and reset my pc and it still comes up read-only.

    Hello

Do you mean that the external CD/DVD drive for PC card cannot be recognized in Windows XP?
Hmm I think I have an idea.
I think you should go to the Device Manager and remove the * Texas Instruments PCI controller card bus * and * Toshiba ToPIC100 CardBus controller *.
    Reboot the laptop.

After restarting, the operating system must install new hardware (two controllers carbs) and after this installation, you can try to connect the external PC card, CD/DVD drives again!

  • Get a Code 10 error "this device cannot start' for my optical drive

    Hello

I am running a Dell Studio 540 with the following specifications:

    Processor: Intel Q6600 @ 2.4 GHz

    RAM: 4 GB

HD: 750 GB 7200 RPM SATA

    Graphics card: nVidia 9800GT 512MB

OS: Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit

All the drivers and BIOS are up-to-date.

My current optical drive is an Optiarc DVD +-RW AD-7200 s ATA Device Unit which has now disappeared from "My Computer". By opening the Device Manager, it has a small yellow triangle with an exclamation mark inside. When I click on it that a new window will open and in the device status area, he said:

This device cannot start. (Code 10)

Currently, I have tried two methods without success. First, I downloaded the latest drivers/firmware for the optical drive directly from the Dell Web site, but to try to install, I get an error box saying that the "target drive is not properly".

I also ran the Mats_Run.devices of the Microsoft Automated Troubleshooting services who correctly identified the problem, but said he could not address them and directed me to these forums.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you for your time,

    Hello

The Code 10 error code is generated when the Device Manager has not enough information or error that spread upwards by device drivers is not recognized by Device Manager. In addition, this error may occur if one of the pilots who needs the unit does not start. If multiple drivers are used by a particular device, it can be difficult to determine which failed.

As you have already tried updating the drivers for the device, you can just go through the article that talks about the Code 10 error.

  • Cannot start the new hard drive after clone on T61p

I have a T61p which had a Hitachi HD of 100G.  I bought through Lenovo a Toshiba 500 G HD placed in the location of the laptop HD, put the old HD 100 G in an ultrabay adapter when we normally DVD drive and booted from a Clonezilla Live USB 4 G drive.  I made one device to device taking the detault options.  Seems to have worked without any problems.  I change all parameters of the pre box office IBM.

BIOS is set to boot the HD in the laptop HD slot, then the HD in the ultrabay slot.  However, after start-up, it seems I'm now start from the old drive in the ultrabay adapter.  Windows Vista disk management shows the two discs, and it shows both drives, even with a score of 700M, then roughly a score of 93G.  The new HD has the rest of the unallocated space, which is ok since I use Vista or GPARTED to decompress.  The old HD has a flag "boot" game, and both car are "active".

If I take the HD in the ultrabay outside housing, I get a black screen with a title of Manager of Windows startup with three options, then the error below:

    file: \windows\system32\winload.exe

    status: 0xc000000e

DESC: the selected entry could not be loaded because the application is missing or damaged.

I have googled and looked through this forum and found several hits, but I don't know what I see.  I saw where someone had used Norton Ghost with the - ib switch, but I have used Clonezilla.  Any ideas?

ALSO, how can I know if I have successfully copied the pre box office IBM?  and if I have to put hormaux or people with reduced mobility, where could I do?

Problem solved.  Since then I cloned the drive and which included the partition predesktop area/hidden from IBM, so with the old drive in the ultrabay being removed housing, I was able to start using the blue thinkvantage key when starting of the machine.  From there, I could run a repair that solved the problem.  Now, the new disc has the 'boot' flag and cannot be used for a startup in Windows Vista.

  • Satellite M40-244 - cannot start from CD after driver change

    Hi all

I have a Satellite M40-244 and the original DVD drive is faulty. So I changed the drive with one that is exactly the same (same brand, same date of manufacture).

Under Windows, the new disk is recognized and works perfectly. However, when I try to boot from the CD, I am not able to do. I successfully changed the boot sequence in the bios, I tried all possible combinations without success.

One thing I remember is that when I tried to boot from the faulty driver, I got the message 'Not bootable CD' (the tested CD is bootable and tested on other computers)

Any idea anyone, I desperately need to install a new OS. :-(

    Hello

I doubt that you can boot from CD t if your drive works properly in Windows...
You can try another disc of starting, for example the Toshiba recovery disc or the disc from Microsoft, please?

Alternative try to load the default settings in the BIOS.

    Good luck! :)

    Dear Gerhard,

I suspect you have a hardware problem on your device. Hard drives should appear in the graphical interface under 'storage' as SATA1 to SATA4 at the time you insert the tray into the Bay and drives pass the test.

As we are based in the same region, please let me know where you bought the device and I'll let you know how to throw a RMA number.

  • High definition Audio Device Code 10 - device cannot start (tried all the typical solutions)

    Hey!

    Let me first, I use a laptop Aspire V3 - 772g.

After the recent update of Windows 10, I had problems getting past the lock screen (took FOREVER to get to the point where I could enter my password) and it had been awhile, so I reformatted ('reset my PC' delete all files) - that didn't really solve my problem, so I used Rufus with an iso of Windows Microsoft to remove all partitions and start 10 REALLY cool. Since then, the laptop runs like a dream - in all but a point.

It seems that no matter WHAT I do, I can't get my audio HDMI / TV to appear as an option in the playback devices (Yes, disabled devices is checked). Looking in the Device Manager, the high definition Audio Device has an exclamation point is to launch a code 10 - impossible to start the device. I tried to uninstall it, tried to install all the drivers of Intel V3 - 772 f page including chipset, updated my graphics driver / Realtek / drivers Intel HD audio... and yet, nothing. Ran /sfc, ran /chkdsk, nothing.

I read something that made me believe .NET framework can be part of the issue - and in fact, I have a bit of difficulty getting the 3.5 installed / functional, but I finally did... and yet, nothing!

Seriously, I'm losing my mind. I'll have to run my sound surround sound via an auxiliary cable into the laptop, which is sacrilege and a fraction of the quality.

If there is SOMETHING, someone can suggest beyond the foregoing, please do!

This problem is related to Intel HD audio via HDMI cable, if the driver is in the same package of graphics drivers.

Have you tried to manually install the audio driver HD?

you need to unpack the Intel graphics drivers (but no installation, you can use 7z to unzip), and then select update the driver HD audio from the Device Manager and point to the unzipped folder.

  • Cannot start - exhausted all remedies

I have a laptop of 1501 running Vista Basic.  The laptop is 13 months old, so it's just out of warranty.  After you restart the computer one day, the thing has refused to start.  He went to repair screen and I tried several system restores, each time more back to my restore point.  Whenever he'd tell me restoration was a success but it could not restart and I was back where I started.  I have no restore remaining points.

I tried to start in safe mode.  He arrives at the crcdisk.sys and goes no further.  I've seen a lot of discussions about this on the web, but most of these issues appears to be new installations, upgrades, or changed drivers.  I got none of the above, so I don't know if this is related.  It's move to a screen beyond that and give me the biggest mistake of cursor safe mode, but then it just dies and goes back to the login screen.

Microsoft repair tool detects any error (0 x 0) for all of their test and tells me that they are unable to repair the computer.  Ran the Dell diagnostics and it is three bad blocks on the hard disk, but could these three blocks be stopping all of the computer to boot?  I ran a chkdsk /F (full or extended or what they call) and it 'fixed' what are the errors it found.  I used the microsoft tool to rebuild the MBR and Bootfix.  None of these things seem to help.

Help!  I can't lose the data on this drive.  I don't have a backup (which should be included that he would die after only one year of use of the lamp?).  Through the command prompt, I can see that all of my files are still there, I can't get the machine to start.  It gets all the way to the point before the login screen (the cursor arrow appears and responds to the movements of the mouse), but then it goes right back to Bios startup screen.

All suggestions are welcome! Help, please.

  • Portege M500 cannot start when the USB ports are loaded

We have a M500 that recently seems to be affected by start-up problems when the USB ports are loaded with things like KB and Wireless Mouse USB external adapter.

When these ports are occupied at the start, all the usual tools seem do not load and the associated icons do not appear in the toolbar at the bottom of the screen. The machine in question XP Professional and has 2 GB of RAM. The machine software is generally updated. Machine seems to start normally when the USB ports are empty.

Once completed a successful boot USB ports can be occupied and the machine will then seem to operate normally.

    Any thoughts?

    Thank you.

    Hello!

In your case, I would do a BIOS update and also the chipset driver.
The two you can find on the Toshiba site. I m not sure but I think you have a model for Canada:
    http://www.Toshiba.ca

Have you tested the devices USB on another computer laptop or PC? Maybe the problem is the keyboard and/or the mouse and not the laptop.
