  Hi all. Well...

  I saw a problem with this notebook from the first day. First of all... I hate Windows Vista.
  Second, it took me to always find a way to install windows XP on it...

  If everyone confuses everything you have to do is go into the BIOS and set the SATA 'Compatible' and boot from the CD.

  OK after I have windows XP installed it won't let me download all drivers... I went to 'http://uk.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_bios.jsp?service=UK' but when he says 'Model' I can't find M305 anywhere!

  All I see is M30 or M30X... I even tried these drivers and will not load I get "BIOS update FAILED" sigh... I've looked everywhere...

  I'm trying to not help my girlfriend here but theres no use... I mean hardware wise that this baby packs some powers but OS. :( Luckly for me I have MSI WIND, I don't have to deal with any of Vista because it comes with Windows XP SP3.

  But the Toshiba... sigh...
  Please please please can someone me... that I stayed for nearly 12 hours trying to figure this... sigh... If someone finds a solution... I'll love you forever: a few X here is info on this laptop I have:

  Only available drivers are for Vista.

  It is a long story but believe me ;) the solution is simple :D

  You do not find the drivers for this unit on the (European) driver Toshiba UK page because this unit has been designed to market Toshiba us ;)
  That's why the pilots are not released on European page but on the US page!

  That's the whole secret ;)

  So if you need the drivers, go to the Toshiba page us:
  http://www.CSD.Toshiba.com/cgi-bin/TAIS/Su/su_sc_home.jsp

  Select your laptop model and you will find all necessary drivers.

  Unfortunately, your laptop is not Vista support and you will not be able to find the official drivers on Toshiba download page. All you can do is find the drivers (if available) on the manufacturers of hardware technical support site.

  Update graphics card is not possible.

  I walked into the Toshiba Romania, filled the whites until the 'operating system' - I could select only windows 8 and OS independent if I wanted to look up for drivers.

  I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite A205-s5859 new (US series), and my laptop was completely done by virus so I just want to install Windows XP instead of Windows Vista which is now experiencing in my laptop and wants to make a new partition.

  When I try to install Windows XP Home edition, I get a problem which is in the Middle while confuguring my system hardware (blue screen) a messege is appearning like * "Setup did not all hard disks in your computer instead. Make sure that the hard drives are powred on properly connected to your computer and that all disks associated hardware configuration is correct. It can be runnning an installer of manufacturer_suplliedd diagnosticor "* and dvd r/w works correctly because of this message iam not able to install xp so please help me to solve this problem."

  Just reformat the laptop, went from windows 7 64 bit for windows 7 32 bit. Reformatted the disk that came with the laptop.   To be honest I n don't know what problems you have with the driver audio but that's in the right place for all drivers:

  But before installing the latest version, remove the current version first and clean the registry with CCleaner
