  But wait; have you tried to connect the laptop to the external display?

  I have the Satellite A300D-11 t, Windows Vista HP 32 bit SP1.
  After almost a year of functioning of the system, Vista decided to fail. So I reinstalled it.

  I downloaded all the necessary drivers and forgive me - no unnecessary waste, such as + help +, + acoustic silencer +, + Config Free + and so now (surprisingly fan slowed down and all the computer is colder).

  Now. When I plug the headphones with built-in microphone system does not automatically switch on this one.

  As far as I know that the laptop supports the audio chipset Conexant CX20561 then you must install the Conexant audio driver!

  Please install the SP3 of XP Win first before install you the audio driver.

  PS: If the newer BIOS version has been released then update also!

    I have Toshiba Satellite laptop which came with pre-installed windows Vista.

    It has worked fine until today. Now when I try to start the power light comes on and I hear the HD work but there is no movement on the screen. Its black (just like it was when the laptop is turned off).

    The F8 key did not help either!

    Ive downloaded the restore disc but failed to get the system to boot from the CD because I don't know how to change the BIOS settings!

  I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on a problem I have.
  About 3 months ago my G10 starts with a black screen startup. I can hear the sound and all qosmio logo. Just impossible to see anything. So, I pushed FN + F5 and it would show the windows xp loading screen. But when it is started in windows. It would be a very low resolution display. So I have to change or push the tv out button twice and it would auto resets.
  I was in the bios and changed the beginning of the analogue lcd + rgb display and which will show that during the boot process, but continues to be carried out in low resolution windows.
  And if I plug in an external monitor, the two, they just empty.
  I tried to re-complete installs, qosmio Player re - install. NVIDIA driver, hotkey utility, display change. But still nowt.

  Yes, I had this earlier on my G10 and this was the beginning of more serious problems. The machine has started to behave more strangely, and it has gotten worse over time, insofar as it would lock up when you watch DVDs and qosmioplayer software has stopped working completely.

  I don't know if you have the same problem, but I took for Toshiba technicians and machine ended up going back to them for an overhaul of the system board. = problem solved.

  Oddly enough, one of my friends has had exactly the same problem and went through the same process to return the machine; I don't know if it is a problem that affects all G10s!
