Re: Satellite A50 - keyboard doesn't work after sleep

I have a problem with my laptop.
When you load windows xp keyboard does not work.
Keyboard works again if you put it to sleep the laptop and then you reboot.

What is the problem? Help me please and thanks in advance.

I have never heard of this issue, but have you tried an external keyboard? Check it!

What's your Windows up-to-date with all Service Packs and patches?
I doubt that s a hardware issue and in the worst case, you must reinstall.

I own Satellite M30X (model) after I left the laptop on while awhile, the computer went on standby to fashion. When I turned it on, the screen does not work, everything else is ok. I use the external monitor to the laptop. Everything seems to be in the order outside the screen. I did a system recovery and still the same problem. I don't know if it's a hardware or software problem.

I know the screen works, because you can see roughly. It seems to me that the screen is always on standby.

Is there anything I can do to fix this problem?

  • Satellite A300 - keyboard does not work after cold start.

    Hi people,

I inherited an A300 of questions.

When you turn on the laptop, the keyboard works at the BIOS level, but once it boots into windows keyboard no longer works. I discovered that by pressing the power button (stop) and then turn the laptop back on brings back the keyboard. (It was in vista).

Since I did a new install of Windows 7 (removal of all partitions on the disk) and the fault remains, I also installed the added value Pack which did not help.

Firmware was 1.6 - updated to 1.9; fault remains. I restored the factory settings in the BIOS - fault remains level.

I installed a copy of Fedora 11 (Linux), that works perfectly.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks for the comments.
To be honest, I use an external mouse only.

  • Dictation doesn't work after sleep

    Hello

I have a macbook pro retina early 2015 version running on El Capitan OS X (10.11.4).

Recently, I started using the dictation feature & speech and found that it will not work after waking from sleep (most of the time that I do not close).

When I press the shortcut key to activate the dictation, the microphone at the corner will 'three-treatment-points', is therefore the microphone icon in the status bar (I know that my microphone works well btw). When I click it, the drop-down list says that "dictation is loading. However, after some time, he will answer and I have to force the function to stop smoking. Just after the dictation in the activity monitor to quit or off in system preferences, my mac will freeze permanently for 1 ~ 2 seconds, forcing me to restart my mac.

I have went to the console and found the newspaper stating:

SpeechDataInstallerd [2286]: *-[NSKeyedUnarchiver initForReadingWithData:]: data are empty. If you forgot to send - finishEncoding to the NSKeyedArchiver?

Wandering if there any kind souls out there who can solve my problem of coding or just save me to restart my mac every time?

    Thank you!

I use increased dictation. When I finished with the dictation, I deliberately left it. My Mac closes every day at sunset. With OS X and OS X 10.11.4 10.11.5, I have no problems with the dictation, other than his words of misunderstanding sometimes. Dictation is not ready to receive your speech until the three points "pulsed" stop, a sensitive vocal mic icon is present. I have never error messages, or this Console log entry that offered you.

    Hi Jaso444,

What OS do you have exactly?
It happens when you copy a file with Windows Explorer or another program?

  • 15 - ab004nc: HP Pavilion 15 (15-ab004nc) - 3160 Intel doesn't work after sleep

    Hello.

I have laptop HP Pavilion 15 (15-ab004nc) with the card wireless Intel 3160 and running 10 x 64 windows.

Whenever I put my laptop to sleep, then wake it up, the wireless is dead. There is the Red Cross at the bottom right on the network card and a Wi - Fi connection can not be turned on.

    I tried solutions:

    (1) properties - wireless adapter - device manager - power control - uncheck the box 'allow the computer disable this device... ". »

    (2) remove the current driver (auto downloaded by Windows 10) and install the driver of HP (http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp72001-72500/sp72159.exe) drivers site

    (3) remove this driver and replace it with the driver from the installation site with drivers for Intel 3160.

    (4) maximum - wireless - performance even on battery power options

    (5) remove all the network related drivers in safe mode, reboot and installation driver HP for this laptop (identical from the point 2)

The laptop is useless in this State.

When I wake up from sleep/hibernate, wifi can not be activated. I tried to disable and re-enable it in Device Manager, but it does not help either, the wireless adapter is dead until I restart the system. After starting, the wifi works like a charm until the next sleep/hybernation, then it died again.

Any kind of help would be great.

After one stop wireless I have let it run as a windows network tool diagnoses and he told me that the switching between wifi and no.-wifi button was "no wifi".

The funny part is that this model of HP laptop is not a switch wireless button, only to airplane mode, and is not the same thing.

If I have the system is quite confused and this is probably the problem with keyboard, turns out I was right.

I installed the driver of HP wireless button (even if there is NO button on the device wireless switch) and now everything works as it should.

TL; Dr: install the driver of HP Wireless button and everything works fine.

  • Mouse and keyboard does not work after sleeping on a laptop

After awakening from a sleep of my laptop, my keyboard and mouse went crazy, pushing buttons at random on the screen, beep and completely freeze then both. I restarted my computer and got to the login screen which I was able to type in, then he connected and the keyboard and mouse do not work. I plugged in a USB mouse and the mouse that works very well. After some playing around, I got the keyboard works by accessing the control panel and change the speed at which the keys type and for some reason, this fixes the keyboard. However, I am still unable to get the mouse works.

So three questions, 1 - what happened in the first place? 2 - why my keyboard was working to connect, but not once it really connected? 3. How can I get my mouse back?
    Thank you!

Has this issue occurred until you used the external keyboard?
My suggestion is the edition of Office Microsoft Wireless comfort has a bad influence on the internal keyboard.

  • Media on Satellite A135 buttons do not work after a change to the startup

    Hello

I just share what happened to me in the hope that it will help someone.

    I have a Satellite A135-s4487 with Vista.

Recently I went to change my menu start because we all know how Toshiba wants to add so many things on startup. Well what happened to me is that my internet and multimedia buttons on the left was next to my keyboard doesn't work anymore, the game and other buttons worked. Just not the button multimedia/internet. Then I went back in and reset my start on the way it was, but still does not work. After calling Toshiba and make them tell me I need to just restore my device I said I would like to figure it out. Now remember I have Vista not XP so the old common modules of Toshiba and Toshiba utility controls are no longer there. After looking into it, I found that for Vista, the software that makes it work is therefore called the Toshiba value added Package. This software should uninstall the program and reinstall after that you should be near the top of form and will. Now, I install the software to my restore disk so I don't really know if the one on the site will work, but I see not why not just make sure that you download for your module.

I hope this will help those who had the same problem I did.

If you need something or just try to fix something just els send me an email to [email protected]

    Hi Josh

Thanks for this useful information and report your experience.
I already noticed this Toshiba value added package for Vista and have read the more information.

This option provides details on pilots alone and tools. For Toshiba Value added Package, I found this:
"This package installs a range of important public services. TOSHIBA components common Driver This module is an essential element on Windows Vista. He will have to make other programs original TOSHIBA works correctly.

  • Satellite C660 - keyboard does not work

    Hello world

I've recently updated the BIOS to version 1.60 on my PSC0LE C660-02300JEN (1 year) and the keyboard doesn't work well at all and sometimes stops working completely, making it unusable (I write on an external USB keyboard.).

There was a recurring problem, a few months before I updated the BIOS with the strike being delayed or does not respond, sometimes when you type, but for the most part, it still worked.

So I've updated the BIOS, as suggested, and I get the following problems:

The space bar is either not responding or when you press + 2 written or +++ again and again until I stop it by pressing the SPACEBAR again.

    None of the numbers works.

Sometimes the entire keyboard no longer works and none of the keys of a reaction.

    I tried solutions:

    Remove the battery.

cleaning the keyboard to get whatever it is dislodged out under the keys.

Reinstall the version 1.60 of the BIOS.

I'm not sure what to do next and really appreciate the advice and help before I try to get the keyboard replaced. It would be nice to get an opinion before I gain for a fix.

    Really welcome responses.

    Thank you very much

    Patrick

    Hello

I think that this problem of keyboard is not related to the BIOS update not to other software.
Is that you can use the external USB keyboard as you said above this means that the BIOS is ok and also the functions of controller keyboard correctly

This means that the problem is related to a malfunction internal keyboard. I have no explanation why this happened after the update, but it could be just a bad luck

In my view, the problem can be solved by the replacement of keyboard.
