Re: Satellite C660 - after the BIOS update can not connect to Internet
I've recently updated my BIOS on my Toshiba Satellite C660 1.70.
Everything goes well, but when I rebooted and tried to connect to the internet, he could not.
I thought that there was a temporary error, but it's been 3 months and it has still not repaired.
Can you help me? Thank you!
Have you tested with WLAN and LAN connection?
Have you noticed the same problem using two connections?
After upgrading my bios Toshiba Satellite C640-10F (PSC02E) to WIN 2.00, I can't boot the laptop using USB key, when I checked the BIOS with F2, I was stunned because the USB port connected to the laptop has been labeled as FLOPPY drive. Y at - there no possibility to downgrade the BIOS?
Set the BIOS to default and after restarting, use F12 to get into the boot menu.
USB option is available there?
What is saved on your USB device? I mean why do you want to use device USB to boot from it?
I bought a laptop Toshiba Satellite A300-247 with Windows Vista Home Premium.
Then I formatted it and divided the hard (320 GB) into 6 partitions and installed Windows Vista and Windows XP on drive C to drive D after having changed the SATA controller mode in the BIOS for compatibility. The computer worked well with 2 operating systems. However, when I updated the BIOS to version 1.9, two operating systems stop working and one of them can be installed: XP can be installed when SATA controller mode is placed on compatibility and Vista can be installed only when the SATA is changed to AHCI.
Is there is no explanation of what past? And can I install operating systems 2 together again?
First of all, I doubt that this has something to do with the BIOS update. I think that after the BIOS update HARD drive mode has been changed from AHCI to compatibility and therefore the OS didn't start.
Anyway, in compatibility mode you can install Vista and XP without the SATA drivers. This should t be a problem.
But do you know the difference between compatibility and AHCI? AHCI mode is faster and therefore I would recommend this mode.
Like you said Vista you can already install in AHCI mode and for XP, you need Intel Storage Manager. This package includes the SATA drivers you need and here is a step by step guide to use these drivers:
Last but not least, you can install 2 OS. You can do what you want! ;)
After the BIOS update I can't boot the laptop because the system doesn't recognize the relecommunicarions password.
Before updating the password is 0000.
After when I try to set the password incorrect password start apeeras
The BIOS password can only be removed from an authorized service provider. So I think that there is no other way.
On the Toshiba site, you can search the nearest:
I upgraded to v3.70 Bios and now my Debian has following problem:
at the start of the adage about stucks kernel:
PCI: BIOS Bug: f0000000 MCFG area isn't E820 - reserved.
Did I screw the upgrade (Win startup, run the bios update and follow the instructions)? Or is this normal?
How can I know Toshiba, they have the bug in the BIOS?
After the BIOS update you can use delivered and supported operating system (recovery image)?
I have laptop Toshiba Satellite U400, PSU44E and Win XP. After you have installed the new BIOS v. 3, 80-WIN32, it is not possible to start Windows, it always ends in restart. It is also not possible to reinstall Winsdows, as it always ends with the blue screen.
Any help or suggestion?
How can I install back my backup BIOS BACK?
Did you really choose the good BIOS for your laptop? Because on the Toshiba site Web are different models U400 has so you choose for PSU44E BIOS on Toshiba page?
After the BIOS, you should load the default settings in the BIOS.
Did you check that?
A downgrade from the BIOS is not possible. This is possible only from an authorized service provider. So, you should contact them and ask a technician for help. I m sure they will help you. ;)
Five hours ago, I did update the BIOS and restart the computer after that I noticed that the speed of the cooler is increased and worrying. Mention that they bought a Toshiba Satellite C660 last month.
Please, if you can help me how to set the correct rotation!
PS: Sorry for my English I'm not from England!
I think several people have posted about it here on this forum so it's a shame you don't l l check this forum before you took the decision to put the BIOS updated. If you have some time check other assignments in category C satellite.
In any case, I can say, it's that you can try to reduce the speed of the cooling fan with cooling method option in the advanced power settings.
This should reduce the speed of the cooling fan and your laptop will work a lot quieter. Put simply to option in battery mode.
I have a problem with my laptop Toshiba Satellite A30 PSA33E. I update my old BIOS and 1.7 and now I have a problem: I can not install any OS on my PC because it stops whenever I try to install. After 50 tests, I installed a Windows SP2, but my PC turns off always.
My CPU is at 100% after I launch mozilla so I guess my problem is the BIOS. I try to install v1.8 BIOS and is not working and I get an error (not compatible with the installed BIOS)
Where can I find the 1.3, 1.4, 1.5 ROM BIOS? Can someone help me please?
The latest version of the BIOS should not cause this kind of thing. Have reset you the BIOS to its default settings?
Have you checked the CPU radiator for an accumulation of dust? A can of compressed Air can help remove dust through the vents.
What was the reason that you updated the BIOS, in the first place? Had previous problems with the system?
Welcome! I have a big problem.
I improve my Satellite L300 BIOS to the old version that I download on the official website of Toshiba. I turn on the update program and after about minute, the system will shoot down and on the screen I see black screen only. The light on the drive flashes green and the led in the DVD-ROM flashes orange. I have no idea what's going on.
Please help me!
It sounds like this during the update of the BIOS, that something was going wrong. I think that the ROM module must be reflashed or in the worst cases, the motherboard should be replaced.
In any case, you should contact an ASP for help. Technicians can try to reflash the ROM module and solve this problem.
If you don't know where is the nearest ASP, you can search on the Toshiba site:

I recently bought an iPad pro, and the new update is due. I tried several times to do it, but it keeps telling me that it cannot connect to the Internet to do it, once I go through the process agree to the terms. However, I am here, on the internet very well. There is a lot of space, only had this for about a week and no further questions, I noticed.
Due to problems with the update on iPad Pro 9.7 ", the update has been removed by Apple for this device.
If you have several iPad Pro, I would recomment still wait for a newer version.

Try reinstalling the toasts with the connected reader.
If this does not work, try resetting the SMC: reset the management system (SCM) controller on your Mac - Apple Support
I have a Satellite L300 1A 3 MODEL PSLB8E. I decided to update the version of the BIOS, thinking that he can resolve my issue of ethernet controller.
But after the update, my laptop goes on infinite blue screen of death. How can I recover from this injury?

Did you choose the good BIOS update for your model? Was it for Satellite L300 PSLB8E?
What code you get BSOD?
After the BIOS update you must always load the default settings. Maybe a bad BIOS setting is causing this BSOD.
Before I have a little problem with my fan, but I do it with the BIOS update. His work!
Now, I have a little problem of different...
I am a player of counter-strike and before the BIOS update I have 99.9 FPS now, I have about 60... Who is wrong?
Its make me crazy...
Seems the CPU and GPU don t run full implementation after the BIOS update.
Any performance CPU/GPU leads to lower the heat dissipation and this means that the cooling module does not need to execute quickly and very often.
Check to see if you can change an option is the BIOS.
You can also try to update a graphics driver and could control Windows 7 power management.
Power management settings 7 victory could affect CPU and GPU performance to save battery power and reduce the heat dissipation.
After the iphone update does not accept Apple ID more
What exactly do you mean by "do not accept" more? This error message you get? Are you the owner of the ORIGINAL of the phone or did you buy it used? If it is a second hand phone, you could have operated in the lock of activation:
I have a laptop with Windows XP. After getting a virus, I scanned with AVG and removed the threat. After re-booting, I can not connect to wireless internet.
