  I just bought my Satellite Pro L650-165 and there are a number of software programs that come pre-installed with it.
  Such as Toshiba Tempro, Eco fashion, Technology Council etc etc.

  In view of the fact that I'm going to use this for my University I run many intensive programs of ram above.
  So, I want to free all the ram, I can by uninstalling all these utlities.
  I know what you think... Yes just because they are installed does not mean that they are running. But is it safe?

  I know it takes but still ask. I just want to stay with windows7 plain ol' less all software 'cool '. precautions?

  Oh and even though I created the recovery discs using the utility built into the to do... I thought ordering a Toshiba too. where to go for this?

  Although these tools are installed, this does not mean that they would be running in the background and lose some of the RAM.
  I wouldn't recommend uninstall these tools but to turn it off auto-start.

  You can do it in msconfig.

  Run msconfig and go to the Startup tab.
  There you can uncheck just tools that you n t need initially.
  Save the changes and restart the device.
  If you need one of the tools again in the Startup tab, then you could do it

  Notes; Disabling in msconfig process does not mean that you couldn't manually start these tools
  Disable tools (process) in msconfig means ONLY that these tools would not launch automatically when windows starts.

• Satellite A100: question about Toshiba HW Setup utility

  When I try to activate the HW setup, a message is displayed with the message: Gemeinsame Module was finished.
  I thought that a program would guide me through Setup of HW as described in the Toshiba Benutzerhandbuch.

  I wanted to really make are:
  1. I need to plug a second monitor on my laptop today in the evening.
  2. when I hit Fn + F5, my screen goes black. Press Fn + F5 again: screen is normally activated.
  I was expecting to see a box where I can choose the configuration of the monitor. (This happened in the past).
  3. in order to check my settings, as I wanted to use HW to install as described in the Toshiba Benutzerhandbuch.

  I put t know exactly what it is the sense of shared module, but perhaps that it s often resorted to the module.
  This application is necessary for the good state of different tools of Toshiba.
  In this case, I would recommend reinstallation of this application.

  To my knowledge of many tools and utilities and additional programs have been installed on this laptop.

  May I ask why you compare one satellite Pro P100 with other laptops who don t support the same processor, the graphics card performance and additional features?

  From my personal experience of many manufacturers of laptop while customers with software pre-installed because that the performance of the laptop or simple parts (graphics card, HARD drive, memory IE) are not approximately the same mostly.

  Last but not least; I put t really understand why you're a little annoyed.
  Why you didn t check the laptop and the description?

  I have a few questions reclassification utilities exist:

  1. the webcam utility, is there a way to disable the sidebar and comes to live with his system tray?

  I'll try to provide answers. If all goes well it will help you. ;)

  1 No. as far as I know that's not possible, but if you don't need this application just go to exit and stop it running in the background. You can start it again whenever you want.
  2. you can turn off this notification in RUN > MSCONFIG > Startup tab. I don't know how is the right name, but you'll find it here. Just remove the check mark in front of it and it will never start.
  3. new notebook models are supplied without recovery DVD and you must go alone. Toshiba has created little reminder and this reminder should say that you please do not forget to create the recovery DVD. So please do use "Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator. This support of installations, you can use for the installation of Vista more far. I recommend you to use only DVD-R media. TRORDCLauncher's Recovery Disc Creator Launcher. When the recovery DVD is created, you can delete the system applications.
  4. Yes you can remove the system. How? Control Panel > programs and features > there is the list of all software pre-installed. Click the application that you want to remove and click on the option uninstall.

  You can download some third party applications such as the speed of the fan. Please note that cetter part applications are not tested and all the news you see here doesn't have to be 100% good.

  Please do not download driver updates using Microsoft Update option.

  I bought a Satellite A350 Tiger Direct. He moved with Windows Vista 32 bit.
  It is capable in my view up to 8 GB of Ram. Vista 32 bit does support 3.

  All reviews on this laptop online say that it came with 64-bit and 400 GB of memory.
  Mine came with only 230 GB of memory and 32 bit vista. I ran Belarc advisor, and he tells me that my computer is 64-bit ready.

  Is this true? Why is - this me came not with Vista 64 bit?
  I want to upgrade my ram but with 32 bits, which is not possible and according to Microsoft you cannot update 32-bit to 64-bit.
  So should I buy Vista 64-bit upgrade? (for around 300 euros!). Is this in any way about this?

  What are my options? I want 4 GB of Ram or more really bad...

  What Satellite A350 do you have exactly?

  AFAIK the most recent series of Toshiba laptop pre-installed a dual operating system;
  In this case, you can choose between Vista 32-bit or 64-bit.

  To obtain the 64-bit, you will need to restart the laptop and have to press F8.
  Here you must choose the option to fix my computer. Then select Toshiba HDD recovery and finally, you should see the option which would be you can toggle between the 32 and 64 bit.

  Usually the Vista 32 bit supports 3.2 GB RAM.
  Only the 64-bit Vista will be able to recognize 4 GB and more.

  What we call "automatic detection" can be found HERE. The only thing he finds some drivers and install some software updates for your original Vista. HP no longer provides the software pre-installed on their Web site.

  My experience is that if you have created your HP recovery disks when you got the computer or just before you did a clean install of Windows 7, you should be able to find most of the original software on the discs. Insert the HP recovery disc in the DVD drive and navigate to the folder "HP". In this folder should be a file 'Drvr' and a file 'Apps '. You should be able to find the software preinstalled in the "Apps" folder Note that some programs may not work correctly because they were not designed to be used with Windows 7.

  Problem is MS Office 2011 came pre-installed on this system and I did not / can not get the drives or the product key to reinstall that software.  Any ideas on how to accomplish this feat?

  I called Apple, where I mentioned MS Mac supports, Trsf to sales to individuals and Trsf to another person.  Best answer "redeem" the software for $149, they will be happy to sell me again... hmmmm I already bought it once.

  Restore your backup. If you do not save him, then you're probably out of luck.

  I have a problem do not have art rage avilable studio for my vaio duo 11. It did not clearly or at all when the new option selectign departure that rage of art studio is not available. the reason why I went with option new start was because I wanted to choose which software to install.   Probably a stupid question, but however.
  I realize the TrueSuite Access Manager Fingerprint Software is probably OEM, but.

  I want to do a clean install of Vista Ultimate (I get it for free at my University), with seven Beta and other Fedora/Ubuntu/Debian installation. I want to clean it Vista install to get rid of the nonsense bundle software etc etc that comes and loads up on startup with Vista but I do quite like the features that the fingerprint reader offers to me and realize that a facility would own it.

  From which it follows that I would like to know if it would be possible for me to acquire new software from somewhere, or recover from the current installation before you do a format and reinstall (or any other software free license which would provide features to my fingerprint reader, by the way).

  And then on a note side, is there anywhere where I can get the Toshiba Bluetooth / Networking Suite (which shouldn't be an OEM thing)? It would be very useful if the blown thing comes with a CD with at least all the things that are not on the OEM licenses and drivers for all the hardware, I would have thought it's too ask that everybody wants unnecessary bits 100 software from the start, but also limited time - watch 3 third-party software installed on their computer slowing them down , occupying their resources and wasting space (I know right? It's bloody hard to believe).

  The drivers and the software Toshiba will install in a generic version of Windows after you have installed the Toshiba Value added Package.

  If you do not want the additional software installed, why don't you just to uninstall and then run a registry cleaner like CCleaner?
