It should be cut when jack is inserted... Try to reinstall or update a sound card driver of [Page Driver Toshiba | http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp] hope, it will help you

    Repair Mac mysteriously mute

The background on the issue, is that there is a switch small sensor inside the plug headphones. When you insert a headphone jack, the sensor includes what is what and changes the setting of audio output for headphones. If you insert a jack for digital audio output, the unit switches to digital output. When you completely remove the plug, it should read the internal speakers.

The spirits tell me that there is a very good chance that you recently had something hostage in this port, a set of headphones or a cable leading to powered speakers, for example. When you remove the plug, something in the port have prevented triggering sensor properly. That's why you see Digital Out instead of the internal speakers.

The solution is to force the sensor to do its job. The safest way to do this is to simply run a plug in and out of the port, a few times. A large part of the time, this takes care of the problem by triggering sensor correctly. If this does not work, there may be dirt in the port. Before moving on to more invasive techniques, get a can of compressed air, plug the small tube which corresponds to the nozzle and the breath to air a few shots in the lane. With a little luck, should dislodge dirt and the port will operate as it should.

If this does not work, find a swab to foam tip that fits (electronics stores generally carry), dip it in rubbing alcohol and insert gently into the helmet in an attempt to wipe any tenacious dirt. I recommend foam rather than cotton fleece because the variety of cotton could leave the son behind. (This same technique works well with the bad conduct of ports from headphone output on devices such as iOS devices).

It is possible that dirt has nothing to do with it. On the contrary, it may be that the switch should just a subtle help. If a socket or a buffer does not work, I have heard people resetting successfully with a deft poke with a toothpick.

  • Satellite A100-998: speakers make noise when it is on current alternative

    Hello, I have a
    Satellite A100-998
    Part number: PSAA9E-0PP044EN

My speakers make a horrible noise slope high when the laptop is plugged into AC power, but not on battery power. It happens through my integrated sound card, my soundblaster card external as well as the headphones on both ports, and they have all the latest drivers anyway, so the problem is elsewhere. Noise appears on the windows out vague, i.e. all inhibition does not, nothing 'generates' sound as a program that runs in the background.

Can anyone help? Here is a link to the noise, I recorded with helmet attached to the microphone port, it's quite quiet, you may increase your speakers to hear it. Link: [http://rapidshare.com/files/114859161/noise.mp3.html]

I guess it's a kind of interference, but I'm a software guy, I don't know about these sorts of things.

    Thank you
    Andy

I doubt that the software could cause this kind of thing, looks like it could be a problem of ground or a component of the motherboard.

I take it to a service center and get them at a glance.

My speakers when headphones are connected work well, I'm heading what I shouldn't...

Thanks in advance for help you

    Hello

I m not very well why this happens only to the connected headphones but from my point of view, this looks like some sort of sound profile was selected. something similar to karaoke etc.

The sound chip seems to be Realtek. Therefore the DD Realtek Audio Manager should be preinstalled on your laptop.
You should find it in Control Panel-> Realtek HD audio manager.

I recommend you plug in headphones and check the sound profiles of the Realtek HD audio Manager.
Maybe something has been chosen which affects the audio output through headphones.

  • X 230: speakers put mute when the headphone is connected

    Hello

My new X 230 with Windows 8 Pro is not being Mute speakers when I plug in the headphones. I have to restart with the headphones plugged so they are dumb, but when I unplug them I can't make it work again until I restart.

The drivers are updated and verified with those that you download from Lenovo.

If I use a Bluetooth headset, it cut the external speakers, so most likely it is one thing to jack-related software.

Pointers? It gets really annoying, I can't listen to music or have private conversations unless I reduce the volume to the minimum unhearable.

    Jose

I noticed that the problem occurs after the first time the PC goes to sleep. After he took over, when you plug in the headphones the speakers don't be silent.

It worked for me, but (from another thread)

    Go to control panel,

then the Realtek HD Audio Manager

    then device avancΘs,

then move from classic mode to the mode of multistreaming.

  • Cannot use Logitech z-10 speakers with Satellite L500D

    I have a Satellite L500D.

When you plug the external speakers (Logitech z 10) via USB, the sound is just terrible, with scraping etc. I installed the latest drivers.
These speakers have their own sound card and the excellent works with all the other pc I tried them on that.

Anyone has any idea what is the problem here?
Would be grateful for any input which could correct the #¤ & % & ¤.

    Hi plutopus,

Just a simple question: have you tried another USB port? Maybe the USB port doesn t tested properly try another port is simple and easy so it s worth a try!

In addition, as wrote Al - eX you need to update your USB drivers or let's say the chipset drivers. I also are advised to remove all the USB port on the Device Manager and reboot the laptop.

I guess you have to install additional drivers for this audio system. Did you pick the newest one?

By the way: I can t find information on your windows. If you use Windows 7, have you checked if the PA system is compatible with the latest Microsoft OS?

Speakers to stop when the screen is slightly moved. There are positions of the screen, when they work, but just slightly push the screen and they are now closed. Movement of the screen has no impact on its external [helmet], is without a doubt the speakers or its connection.

    Hello

On this virtual path, it is not possible to say with certainty what can be the problem.
I put t know what that service with your laptop, but if you still have this problem and still best option for you is to check the functionality with the settings.

In other words, all your data backup and install the operating system using Toshiba original image DVD or recovery recovery if you have a. Believe me this is the best thing you can do about it.

  • Installation of recovery image on Satellite L500D

Am trying to re - install windows 7 on Satellite L500D. I'm having all kinds of problems with the computer because it has been infected by malware or viruses, don't know that. I have already backed up all my documents, photos and files pst on an external hard drive.

I press '0' when the power and then got the following options.

First option is 32 or 64 bits,
I chose 32 that the vehicle has currently 32-bit installed.
Warns next option, I selected Yes.
Next option is factory default software recovery (Recover State out-of-the-box). or erase the hard drive, I chose the default settings restoring.
    Then there's 3 options,
1 recovery of out-of-the-box-state (System Recovery Options include).
    2. recovery without changing hard drive partitions, or
    3. recover to custom size partition. I thought I chose Option 1, but it shows all partitions will be deleted and you will lose all data on the hard drive.

This means that I will delete the windows installs partition?
    Choose option 2?
Option 2 says "the first partition is deleted and you will lose all data on the partition. I am thinking 2 option?

On a separate issue, I could install the 64 bit version of Windows, if so it would be an advantage?

    Hello

Detailed explanations on the recovery image installation, you can find on http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD1303440001R02.htm

Please check it and I hope you find al the info you need there. I always use Recovery option out-of-box state > system recovery options are included.

Your system is infected of course and you have to complete resettlement in order to not make this so complicated. Back up all your data and install recovery image using option 1. No matter what will be removed and what not. Drive HARD integer should be cleaned.

I recommend you to use the version of 64-bit operating system.
Very nice article about 32 and 64 bit versions OS, you can find here.
