  Everything seems sound card driver is installed (Windows XP & latest driverdownloaded of the Toshiba site) and all seem fine and exact configuration. Even when you try change the volume level, you see that the indicator SHOWS that a sound is beening played but you hear nothing. I'm tired of installing and unistalling the driver (it's Realtek HD incidentally) and nothing happends.

  When I press the power button on the front of the laptop (between the headphones & wireless switch) going to the speaker in the system tray icon to mute (or not according to its previous state.) However, I used to get a large icon will appear in the center of the screen showing a speaker or gray version... it doesn't happen again. It has been like that for a few days now & start to frustrate me!

  Any ideas (it is not on mute)?

  Funny, enough seem to be very good sound card driver is installed (under Vista) and configurations seem to be OK and fine. Even when you try change the volume level, you see that the indicator SHOWS that a sound is beening played but you hear nothing.   I think I know what's wrong. ;)
  I read about his not docked after the Vista installation. But don t mix the mute checkbox in the settings of the sound with this problem

  I had to reinstall the Vista operating system and rebuild my Satellite Pro A120 from the revovery disk.
  Most of the things are fine, but I can't any sound to speakers of jack headphine.

  I checked said etil Realtek High Definition Sound Driver is installed and working properly.

  My volume buttons are up on the mixer and Windows Media Player.
  The driver is Realtek 6.0.1.5317

• Dead by Satellite Pro A120 - no lights or sound

  I get no response from my Satellite Pro A120, no lights or sound. With power cord is plugged in.
  Let run last night and found dead this morning.

  I don't think it's a problem with the actual power cable, however the power supply port on the back is a bit loose and "wiggles" when it is plugged in, did it for a while with no problems.

  Any suggestions?

  Tecra 9100 is oldie! Don t compare this notebook with a series of Satellite A120.
  The sound does not work because the Yamaha audio driver does not support the Microsoft SP1 and SP2! This is the reason!

  To get the sound on the XP all Microsoft patches and hotfixes must be installed! Use the MS update page to get all the updates!
  Very important are the audio patches; KB835221and KB888111

  Remove all audio drivers, install patches and then after restart the compatible audio driver!

  I'm sure that you use the external mic because according to the specifications of your Sat Pro anyone internal. I can't test it on my laptop but I'm sure that you will not be able to send sound to the speakers directly.

  Satellite pro A120 is the old model of laptop and must be fully supported for WXP and Vista.

  I recently reinstalled xp professional on my satellite pro A120. I could download and install the main drivers of http://uk.computers.toshiba-europe.com and my phone is functional. However, I did not all sounds and (F6 & F7 and toggle) function keys not working, even after insalling the sound card. I read some of the posts on this forum and found that I needed insall the 'common' module to make them functional. I downloaded the driver from module common too, but when I run the Setup it starts initially, but fails both the configuration is complete.

  The same thing happens also with a few other drivers as saver of energy etc... I was not able to run the Setup program for the common module & driver power saver, basically, nothing happens after I have the respective installation.

  Can anyone help please?

• Satellite Pro A120 battery problem

  Hi all

  I have a portable Satellite Pro A120 and is a battery problem a month ago.
  The battery is not new, but recently changed, 6 months ago.
  Until a few weeks ago, it lasted about 2 hours when full load, until this time
  suddenly dropped 30-40 minutes.
  In addition, sometimes the power of the laptop turns off when it's a few extra vibrations,
  for example, if I put it on a table without the maximum protection.
  In some cases, these, is not possible to turn on the laptop, unless I have remove the battery and put it back in place.

  I initially though that there was a problem with the battery or the battery contacts, but they seem ok.
  I tried to unload it in my laboratory of the company with a power resistance: resistance absorbed 1A continuously for more than 3 hours. As the specification 4400mAh battery, I would say that the battery is ok.

  Is it possible that I have a problem with the battery inside the pc management circuit?
  The battery stress test above seems to show that the charging process is ok. So the problem might be with
  the provision of monitor or battery power.
  Someone at - it experience of similar problems and maybe a solution.
  Or perhaps a work around? As excluding the battery monitoring and auto turn off

  Perhaps, but that's just a guess only a cellphone technician may provide an exactly the answer to this question.

  It is very strange, I want to say if the contacts of the battery and the battery would be ok, this symptom shouldn't its sounds strange for me, so maybe that's the key why battery don't not lasts more than 30-40 min

  However, I think you should try a new battery before checking the motherboard.

  Discovered since I posted this question, by downloading the latest sound card driver, I can now control my sound on the roll switch on the front of the machine, but there is no display appears on the screen, as he did with XP.

  Hmm very strange and to be honest, I think that you have disabled something accidentally in the sound properties.

  However, first of all, you must check if the sound card driver has been installed correctly in Device Manager. Usually you shouldn't t see yellow exclamation marks in Device Manager.
  So, if there is no yellow exclamation point then everything has been installed correctly and the question must relate to the wrong audio settings.

  I put t know what OS you are using but the generally volume properties lie in the-> sound and audio devices Control Panel.
  I recommend that you check the volume if necessary and unique controls it the highest value.

  By the way; did you check if you can hear the sound through the headset?
  Check too!
