I am looking at a Satellite Pro L100 and there are lines from top to bottom on the screen. These are very thin, but boring. IN some cases, the screen is totally blank.
The lines come and go when I move the screen back. Can you advise?

I think Al - eX is right. This sounds like a broken LCD cable and it must be exchanged. But for other diagnostics, you can connect an external monitor. You may notice the same problem there? If this is not the case, replace the LCD cable.

    Hello people wonder if you can help me... actually wonder if I'm in the right forum... I think it's a problem of monitor not a software problem...
    As of late I have vertical lines that appear on my screen... very thin and in pretty colors, light blue, mint green and purple.

    I get about once every 2 weeks or if a new... No idea if it's a software or hardware problem... a computer kid told me it has to do with the conection labtop screen? If someone can just tell me to download a driver and that's all the gonne be ok. would make me a very happy man...

    Also, I read in this forum that the new bios 4.30 fan pending issues. Should I wait with the download?

    To exclude your problem is hardware related, try reinstalling display drivers.
    I don't know if the new version of the BIOS of your laptop has some unresolved issues fan, but if you are not sure, weather to install the upgrade to update or not, just leave it.

    But as I read your message, so far, I think the little computer is right, and there might be a problem with the connection to the screen. Or it could be another display error or problem of graphics card.

    If update display drivers brings no improvement, I suggest you should contact local ASP, as seems to be the hardware problem.

    But maybe you re a lucky guy and nothing was serious damage.
    If the screen is working properly and that you are able to boot the operating system so I guess also the HARD drive was not damage and it works fine.

    I would recommend to open Notepad or remove something if you have no experience. I think that technicians should check your laptop. But if everything works fine, so I think that there is no need to s.

    I m don't know what graphics card has been installed on your laptop but maybe an Intel.
    However in my opinion, the color correction could be done only in the properties of the graphics card. It doesn't matter what the graphics card was installed. Another area unknown to me.

    Go to the control panel and you might find either the Intel GMA option or you can enter through the display options.
    In the graphic card properties, please use the Advanced button. A new window should appear, and then in the color management tab, you can try to change the settings.

    The other possibility is to enter the Intel Graphics tab and there to check the color correction option.

    Seems not good buddy from your description, that something went wrong during the update procedure and now the ROM module has been flashed properly.

    Maybe you area lucky man and the motherboard isn't too bad, but only the Rom module must be flashed again.

    I have a satellite Pro L100 (PSLA4) with ATI Radeon Xpress 200 M graphics card.

    Also, does anyone know if the PSLA4 in my L100 motherboard supports a front side bus to 667 or 533 MHz?

    I sent Toshiba direct support - but unfortunately they have advised that because they haven't tested any other CPU on the laptop that they cannot advise me - seems a bit strange response given that they use multiple configurations on the same motherboard.
