Re: Satellite Pro L770 - networks detected but inaccessible

Hello

Yesterday I received my new toshiba, and since then, I can't connect to any wifi network. My model is the Satellite Pro L770. So I can find many networks, but when I try to connect to one of them, the connection fails:

-My home network, which is of WPA/TKIP. I enter the password, and after several seconds, I have an error reported, with very little information about the causes.

-A public network (free, a french access provider), which should actually connect and redirect me to an authentication page. But in this case, I have limited access and if I try to connect to google, I have a DNS problem, so I can't use public network too. Here, I get an IP address, but no gateway, it's maybe normal that I'm not sure.

I must say that I have an Android phone with which I can connect to my own wifi. I tried to unplug, in order to avoid any conflict of IP, but the result is the same. My machines are ready DHCP, and my router has active DHCP mode.

Any help would be much appreciated.
Thank you.

Hi lapsus63,

Have you tried updating the driver WLAN and wireless network card appear correctly in Device Manager? You can download the latest WLAN driver on Toshiba WLAN official Portal:
http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

Satellite L770 is brand new model mobile phone, so there is not a lot of discussion about it here in the forum. What you can also do is disabling feature of wireless network adapter in the power management Windows for each power of energy saving profile.

I hope that helps! :)

  • Satellite Pro L770 - 12 p - Wake-up on LAN is not possible?

    Hello

I try to send a wake up message to LAN (WOL) on my laptop to propel to the top.
I failed to make it work.

But I do not see a strange thing happening: when I send a magic packet WOL while my laptop is running, the laptop restarts automatically after closing down.

It seems that the Magic Packet is stored somewhere (perhaps in the NIC?) and is activated once the cell phone is off. I think a magic packet must be ignored when a machine has already begun and not be recorded and executed after the PC is turned off again.

That being said, I did a test with another PC; I am able to send a magic packet via my business network. So the problem isn't somewhere else. But the BIOS of my Toshiba laptop does not pick up when the machine is off. Only when it is already running.

Is this a bug and this bug can be resolved?

    Kind regards

    Alfons

PS I have the latest version of the BIOS (v2.30) and I activated the Wake Up on LAN in the BIOS.

    Hello

According to the Toshiba driver page, the last BIOS update was 09/03/12 and I doubt that this new version of BIOS which will be released in the future. The Satellite Pro L770 series is already discontinued.

However, as far as I know the reactivation of the LAN option can be found in the properties of the LAN card.
Go to Device Manager-> LAN card-> properties-> Advanced tab
Here, you should check if the WOL is enabled.

By the way: the network driver seems to be Realtek. I recommend you update the driver of network directly from the page of the Realtek driver. I know that WOL is controlled at the level of the BIOS, but I think the update is worth a try.

  • Satellite Pro L770 damaged TVALZ_0.sys driver - where to find?

Satellite Pro L770 does not start after flashing the BIOS to version 1.3 and install the latest version of Toshiba Service station.

According to the repair of the Windows system, the c:\windows\system32\drivers\tvalz_o.sys is damaged.
Where can I find a new driver for tvalz_o.sys intact?

I tried to repair using repair windows system, but failed.

The autoinstall tool would provide a solution for my problem?

I think that the TVALZ.sys file is part of the Toshiba value added package.
This package is released for Win 7 as well regarding the old Win Vista.

I think you should try to reinstall this package

You will find this software on the Toshiba UE driver page.

My computer laptop ist a Satellite Pro L770-144 and the ist IO 8 Pro 64-bit Windows.
The SD Card Reader recognize the cards. I had installed the controller with the 6.1.7600.30126 Version Realtek card reader a Windows 8.
But the cards are not recognized.
    In Windows 7 it? works.

    Does anyone have an idea?
    Greetings and thanks

    Hello

    First question:
Card reader is properly recognized in Device Manager?
If it is not recognized, then you used a bad driver.

If its recognized, the driver has been installed correctly and there is another reason why SD cards cannot be used.

As far as I know the Satellite Pro L770 card reader manages different types of cards with different sizes.
    SD: 8 MB - 2 GB
    SDHC: 4GB - 32 GB
    SDXC: 64 GB
    Memory stick: 128MB - 256 MB
Memory Stick Pro: 512 MB - 2 GB
    xD Card: No.
    Mini SD: 8MB - 2 GB
    Micro SD: 8MB - 2 GB
    CompactFlash: No.
    SmartMedia: No.

As you can see the compatible SD card: 8 MB 2 GB
It seems more large SD cards only are NOT supported.

Usually you could turn on and off Bluetooth in Win 8.1
Settings PC-> PC &-> of Bluetooth devices

  • Satellite Pro L770-14N - cannot find any drivers

    Hi all

I bought the laptop Satellite Pro L770 - 14N PSK3TE. I installed a clean version of windows 7 ultimate, but I can't find any drivers for this model.

For example,--> on page dowbload toshiba, is the required WLAN driver not in the download section.
I have dl the driver from Atheros page.

Find all the drivers, but we're missing in Device Manager.
    Is a driver package available?

    BR

    Andreas

    Hello

The Toshiba European driver page seems to provide all Win 7 64 bits of the Satellite PSK3TE L770 Pro series drivers.

The WLan drivers can be downloaded here:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/?page=downloads
This is the official Portal of Toshiba WLan and there you can also find Atheros Wlan driver.

  • Satellite Pro L770-11F - loss of wireless connection

I have a portable Satellite Pro L770-11F recently delivered to me in the context of an insurance claim. It has an AR9002WB - 1NG Wireless Atheros adapt 7 is running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.

The problem that I am facing is when I download a file from the internet, it stops at random points & is unable to complete the download.

I can't tell when it happens or how it goes as nothing comes on the screen to tell me any problem. Sometimes I find that even if the PC is always connected to the router (D - Link DIR-615 & only 6 feet from the PC) the map only shows theres no connection to internet even if my Xbox is connected & my phone connects.

What makes it more rare is that if I connect to the router via an ethernet cable it never is de-energized & download the files without any problems

The files I download are various sizes of 350 MB to 3 GB, but it seems to do more on files larger than 500 MB so im thinking it's a matter of time/timer or a problem of size of file (wireless only, not connected by cable)

I had a laptop before it & it worked fine & I have never experienced this problem never

I changed the power management settings in the option ncpa.cpl & bang as far as I can tell that the drivers are up to date. I'm sure it's a matter of PC and not my internet & hopefully this week I can you confirm that by connecting to an internet friends & see if the same thing happens.

Any help would be greatly appreciated I have about 14 days left before I can send it to the supplier for an Exchange if it's a hardware problem.

    Thank you very much
    Tez

    Hello

You said that the Wlan driver is updated, but I recommend you also check Toshiba Wlan portal and compare Wlan driver versions.
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/
Here you can find the latest version of the driver.

You should also check the Microsoft power management settings.
There is an option for the WLan to save the power of the dough.
I recommend to disable this option for better performance.

Last but not least, you can check and play with the options that are in
-> Wlan card device manager-> properties-> Advanced tab

Good luck, hope this can be a little help

  • Satellite Pro L770-149 - cannot get working Wlan

    Hello

I recently rebuilt a Toshiba Satellite Pro L770-149 with windows 7 64 bit, when I installed first the operating system, all the drivers were missing so I installed all of the correct drivers and had run as it was before. Form Apart wireless connectivity,

It can connect through the ethernet cable and wireless (Fn + F8) is enabled.
Device Manager, it shows that all the drivers are correct and functional.
The icon in the taskbar just like a Red Cross, unless I connect the etheret cable.

    Any Suggestions

Thanks in advance for any help

I think that support for laptop AR9285 WLan Atheros 802.11(b/g/n chip).
Have you seen the Atheros Wlan card in Device Manager?

If so, the WiFi card driver is correctly installed and if you have enabled the wireless network adapter using the FN + F8, then you should be able to configure the WiFi network.

To do this, you must go to control panel-> Network & Sharing Center-> (left) choose manage wireless networks
Now choose Add-> manually create a network profile
Here, you can configure the WiFi using the SSID network and other options needed.

  • Satellite Pro L650 - network driver Pb after re - install Win7

    Good afternoon.

A laptop computer was infected with a virus, so I re - install Win 7.
My problem is that all network devices don't have 'no driver for this device.
I install the drivers I download, but the problem is the same.
When I view the list of devices, the 3 devices 'unmanned' are:
    -Network controller

    -Controller PCI (for simplified communications)

When I view hidden devices, I see 8 network cards "Miniport".

    Please, help me...

You have installed the Win7 clean version, right?
What Satellite Pro L650 you have exactly (L650-xxx)?

  • Satellite Pro P200: network connectivity is not stable

I have a Satellite Pro P200, which was downgraded from Vista to XP Pro SP3 corporate.

I use a sensitive enough network application that will crash when network connectivity is lost.
This application has been blocking a lot since I downgraded to XP, so I tried to run a continuous ping that gave rise to many messages Request Timed Out (the maximum number of attempts where I actually had ongoing responses was about 30 but is usually much less).

I use the driver downloaded from the Support from Toshiba site (Realtek RTL8139/810 x Family Fast Ethernet Nic - v5.664.205.2007), wireless network works fine, tried to connect to the network using a cable and a port different without change, and using a different laptop with the same cable and port works fine.

The yellow exclamation mark in Device Manager is a memory PCI controller which I believe is for the Intel Turbo Memory, because it is not compatible with Windows XP.

Any ideas what could be the cause.
I tried reinstalling the driver several times without success, it is likely to be software partners or could it be a hardware failure?

I think it's related software and troublemaker is SP3. Test it with SP2 only and it will work perfectly. Friend of mine noticed permanent data LAN transfer interruptions after installing SP3. Remove everything works well again.

  • Satellite Pro P100 - network adapter disconnects

We worked on a Satellite Pro P100, which has re-product of network problems. After replacing the cables, repatching on LAN, network points and switching points. The contiuned problem to reappear. After reviewing the log events in Windows XP, it indicates that the network adapter has disconnects and reconnects then some time later. We have tried to re - apply readers up-to-date but the problem persists.

Any other suggestions or it's a physical repair job?

    Hello

Save option in enabled energy LAN card properties could be responsible for random interruptions in the LAN.
Select the network adapter in the Device Manager and check the properties.
There must be a tab of advanced and power management.
Check this single tabs and disable energy saving.

Try to disable the firewall and update the LAN drivers on the Toshiba site.

  • Unable to connect satellite Pro 6000 network

I would appreciate help on this. We have a Toshiba Satellite Pro 6000, which we assumed is active wireless. But when you turn on the wireless switch, there is no answer and the laptop will not come to look for me or any other network.

I was able to connect using a USB wireless adapter, but it seems a shame not to use the capacity of the machine itself. Any suggestions? And I'm just thinking wireless is standard with this model. If not what can I do about it?

    Hello

Please check in Device Manager if the WLAN card is listed under network adapters. As far as I know the WLAN card for this camera is optional and it is not standard.
