Re-setup of MS Office 2007

I got a copy of MS Office 2007.  I bought a legal copy.  When I try to install the legal copy, I get the message that "the copy on the computer is newer than the program I am trying to install."  How can I make my legal Office Suite?

Uninstall the current illegal version of MS Office using the control panel > Add/Remove programs. This will not affect the documents that you have created in it. Restart the computer after uninstalling. Next, install your new legal copy. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

After that several months without problem using MS Office 2007 Setup process loads and runs whenever I run a component applications - Word, Excel, Outlook etc. I was able to use a solution for Word 2007 (NoReRun) that I found by searching the net, however, this solution is no solution for the other applications in the suite.

Can anyone help or point me to a solution?

    Thank you.

You've improved or was this a new installation of Office 2007?

    Try the following below:

In Vista, click Start, and type programs and features in the start search box and then search for your version of Microsoft Office 2007 on, and then click Change > then click on add or remove components > then click on continue > do not forget that all the programs you run are selected to run it from your computer instead of the first time use > click to continue.

In XP go to control panel and select Add/Remove programs then look for your version of Microsoft Office 2007 then click it then click on edit > then click on add or remove components > then click on continue > do not forget that all the programs you run are selected to run from your computer instead of using the first time > click to continue.

I would like to know if you have any questions and the result after this.

  • Cannot parse after loading Office 2007

It seems that the installation of the new version of OFfice 2007, my scanning capabilities have since disappeared.  I think that would be the problem.  I have a HO Officejet 7210 all in one.  I usually use Corel Draw or Corel Paint to scan the acquired scanner still appears as the HP twain but when I try to scan I get the windows Setup window and it calls for an installation disc.  I have DL all the current drivers.  but it can not find the scan.msi file.   Any help is appreciated.  Windows XP Pro

The problem of not being able to scan after that loading Office 2007 has been addressed through an online chat with an HP technician.  It took 40 minutes.  For the record I have an XP, a Vista and Mac work all through my HP All in One 7210-no has ever had a problem with any impression.  It turns out that the scan.msi file disappeared after Office 2007 installed on the HP > after too long to try as many bugs that didn't work, the tech finally proposed I put in the original installation disc find the scan.msi file and copy it to the folder C/programs/HP and/or the program in C/Hewlett Packard.  That fixed it!  All right.  I do not understand then that when I told him I kept getting the error message was to locate the missing .msi file, it didn't suggest the obvious solution first.  They are paid by the minute?  In any case, it works now, FYI - any any graphics program, CoreDraw, Corel Photopaint, Photoshop Design and Word, I think has a "select him scanner-usually a Twain and then a command image acquisition."  You do not have to go through HP Director, although some of these programs scan to the Director.  The function of chat line, although long was a good immediate response to a problem.

New HP (seven) desktop with quad processor, 6 MB of ram, Windows 7 64-bit, McAfee, Spyware Doctor.  A trial of Norton and Office 2007 that I deleted (used on site Norton removal tool).  No problems with updates until after 11/10/09.  Then updates started to not install, but I did not notice until several days ago, when my Outlook window could not open.  Happened to check the update log and saw failures after 11/10.

I tried manual downloads instead of auto.  Off McAfee when downloading.  The Windows Firewall is disabled.  Nothing has worked.  In desperation, I removed all installations and updates from 11/10 to the front.  No luck.  Removed Office Enterprise 2007 in order to recharge.  Failed to install with the following comments:

I tried to uninstall Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5, but the uninstall program always, said: "Setup.exe has stopped working".

Someone has any idea how to solve this problem?

  • Impossible to install Office 2007 on Macbook/Fusion

I have a Macbook aluminium, and 2.01 Fusion.

Through consumption of Microsoft program has purchased Office 2007 (Enterprise Edition).  Comes on a DVD.  Can't get it installed - any help would be greatly appreciated.

When I insert the DVD (w/o the Fusion running), the disc spins and grinds for about 30 seconds, then spit out the DVD.  Did the same thing when Fusion (XP VM) is running.  So, as is, I can not install off this DVD directly on the virtual machine - the computer will never even show the disc.  I checked the disc with other media, and it works very well; In addition, checked the DVD on a PC XP and this computer has recognized the disc very well.

Tried to watch, found some older threads with similar problems, but no result.  Here's what I tried, without success:

Insert the DVD in the drive of my PC XP networked and shared this drive.  Could see the files on the DVD in the player shared under OSX.  Copied all files to the Macbook on a shared folder with the VM XP and I could then see the files of the virtual machine and run the install, but it gets stuck you are looking for the file "setup.xml" after I select which parts of the Office I want to install, even when pointed to the specific directory, the location of the file.  Cannot get past this error message and I cancel the installation.

Then, use disk utility to create a CD image (with the source being the shared drive w / disc). I burned the image on a new DVD.  Now, OSX will accept and can see files on DVD recently burned.  However, when I start the XP VM, it does not recognize the drive.  The virtual machine recognize other media in this drive, however, so I don't think it's a problem of General settings now.

I don't know if it's a sort of Microsoft security measure, or what... Have not been able to find a solid answer after a search, so I can get this wrong and that's the problem.  I don't think it's a physical disk problem, because the original disc was accessible on an XP PC.

Since you have a Windows system available that can read DVD discs I make an ISO Image of the DVD disc on Windows system and then move the ISO Image via the network or other methods, to the Mac and then attach the ISO Image to the Virtual Machine's CD/DVD drive and install the iSO Image form.

    Hey all,.

Having a few problems with the installation of the BI Publisher Desktop 10.1.3.4.1 on Windows 7 32 bit / Office 2007 Setup program.

So, basically, this Windows 7 should install work?

    Any thoughts?
