  Hello

  I had to install Windows server 2003 on a laptop (don't ask) and cannot find a driver anywhere. Have tried all the windows drivers on the drivers page and had no luck.

  Thought that I'd stick 2008 there to see if it automatically recognized but no luck there either.

  Anyone know how I can get around this?

  I also tried to figure out what model NIC is installed, so I can get the drivers directly from the manufacturer (Intel I guess), but Goggling it comes with anything.

  I guess you're meaning that the network driver.
  Tecra M11 - 11J seems to support the * pilot Intel 82577LC * LAN.

  Maybe you could find the driver on the Intel page

• Tecra M11 - 11J - cannot install Windows 7 64 bit

  Tried to upgrade a Tecra M11 - 11J for Windows 7 64-bit.
  The installation gets all the "Loading Windows files" screen, then turns off and freezes, with the release of maxing out CPU fan but no HARD disk activity.

  Have tried to reinstall XP (works fine), flashing the BIOS to the latest version, re-seats of the RAM, change the HARD drive in "Compatibility" mode and reinstall Win 7 - same problem.

  Have you tried Win 7 32 bit - the same problem.
  Installation of USB, instead of DVD - same problem.
  Different flavors of Win 7 - same problem!

  It's extremely frustrating.
  I upgraded the memory up to 8 GB, hoping to take advantage of this with W7x64 and now I'm stuck with a XP machine and 4 GB of of of the RAM to lose.

  Would be very grateful for any suggestion.

  I use a Compaq HP 6200 Pro SFF PC with Windows 7Pro, SP 1.

  With this update of the weeks, I noticed that Windows tried to make the pilot also updates.

  When I first checked the Device Manager, it was (and still is) a yellow question mark on Intel(r) Active Management Technology - GROUND (COM) in the category, the Ports (COM & LPT).

  A few days earlier, I realized there is a problem and when I checked the Device Manager, it is the GROUND (COM 4). Which finally solved and disappeared some time after I disabled the driver under properties.

  Yesterday, it was the GROUND (COM 6), which I disabled it after seeing the message that "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems... »

  Who has disappeared and today is the GROUND (COM 5) with the same "Windows stopped of...» (Code 43). »

  I would try to understand/learn what is happening here. Can someone give me a simple explanation? Do I need to worry?

  The only points negative I noticed, was earlier in the week, I couldn't view some pages when surfing the web. I searched the site, microsoftstore.com and could not go beyond a few pages without falling on a white page with an error message.

  Also, when I logged on WindowsLive in settings, my Windows phone not had not been "situated" for more than a few days.

  For this particular model, I could not find another A40 Pro which has a DVD - RW, only DVD ROM. I also suggest to buy an external DVD - RW writer because an internal hard drive will cost much more. Probably triple what external there. External, you can find for about 50 but internal will cost at least about 90 more taxes. I'm sure it is internal that correspond to this machine, but at the moment I don't have the time to research each compatible model search of the car, it's why I suggest an external drive.   device dvr from my toshiba satellite L550-11J (purchased in 2009) with windows vista 64 seems to be broken. It is a "pioneer dvd - rw dvrtd09a. It does not show in windows, not in the Solution Explorer, not in Device Manager (if cela is the English name of it, I don't know, I'm German speaking). It shows even in the bios or boot device, so I think that this is not a software problem, but the material is broken.

  If you do not find t exact post (PSLxxx) part of your laptop model number, and I can do it for you.

  I agree with Akuma. Port replicator doesn t have the vents inside and you can't wait until the laptop temperature will be reduced because of the port replicator.
  The reasons why the port replicator is are different and, in general, has nothing to do with the computer laptop cooling.
