Re: Tecra M11: how to enable S/PDIF audio output?

As says the topic, how can I enable output audio S/PDIF on the Tecra M11?
And what the HD Audio port turns off?

The RealTek HD Audio driver is installed but there seems to be no way to configure it using the bits of the Web from Toshiba site?
Have I downloaded and installed the package of pilot/bad since the support download section?

In the Control Panel audio volume control (Volume Wave/main/SW Synth / CD Player), there is no sign for S/PDIF. It is normally visible on the systems on which it presents and activated. I need to download the RealTek drivers and ignore the drivers of Toshiba?

(Yes, I have a system to connect to who accepts this type of signal)

Which Tecra M11 do you have exactly?
Can you please send model number?

Check it please this document > http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSD57013M000UR01.htm

I run vmware player on a Toshiba Tecra A8 with Intel Core.
When you start vmware, he tells me, that my CPU (CoreDuo2 7200) is capable of VT, but this option is disabled in the BIOS.
    Can I change this setting?

Some versions of the BIOS supports this option but I m do not know if this is possible on the Tecra A8.
Simply access the BIOS and check the unique pages. If you find this option, you can try to activate. Otherwise it s is not possible.

    Hi, new here.

I have trouble getting the Toshiba Wireless LAN Mini PCI Card to work.

I installed all the latest drivers on the Toshiba site.

It is activated in windows and the switch on the front of the laptop is on. 6 led is off.
The FN + F8/Wireless icon button does nothing.

Windows repeat me any available wireless network.

When I try and turn on the wireless card switch network device software Toshiba it just says, 'wireless communication is disabled. Please activate the wireless communication switch. »

The switch on the front would be tired?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

I guess the 6 LED's LED wireless card.

This LED should shine when you activate the WLan switch on the side of the laptop.
Looks like you have not activated the WLan switch.
I put t know exactly where the WLan switch, but you should check the front of the laptop near the headphone jack.

    Check it out.
Then the LED should shine and you must activate the antenna with the FN + F8 key combination.

  • How do I reinstall my Tecra M11-103?

I need to (re) format my laptop, I have a Tecra M11-103 with Windows 7 pro 64-bit. I got it with only a downgrade WXP CD but no CD installation of Windows 7.

Laptop is no longer under warranty. How can I reformat? It seems that I used to have nero backup software as it came bundled with laptop for a long time (a format under warranty and) there are...

Is it possible to get new nero?
    Thank you

    Hello

According to tender specifications that your Tecra has been delivered with preinstalled WIN7 64 bit PROFESSIONAL and you have DVD extra WXP. Original recovery Win7 image was recorded on the HARD drive and use preinstalled Toshiba recovery media creator you have had the opportunity to backup recovery image and create the installation of bootable recovery disk.
How it works is described in the document s user manuals.

I put t know if you created this disk but now after installing Windows XP Home edition, you need the recovery disc. Of course, if you want to have the factory settings, you need this record. Otherwise, you can obtain the Microsoft installation disc and install Win7. Download page for all the necessary drivers, tools and utilities, you can find and download from Toshiba.

I hope you understand the situation, but if you have any other questions do not hesitate.

  • Tecra M11 - Ethernet fried

    Tecra M11 - 10 d

Recently, I connected a network cable for my laptop. This cable seems to be a Poe cable. Ethernet standard, but with a power supply to power a video conference phone.

After this event, my network card does not work. Ethernet lights don't work. My windows 7 says that a cable is not connected.

In Device Manager, I uninstalled the network device and when I'm looking for material changes it finds my network device but it still does not work. It is not a software problem.

Is it possible for this Poe cable to have fried my Ethernet card?
Any suggestions to resurrect my Ethernet?

To be honest I put t have experience with these issues but if you want to test how the hardware install original recovery image and test the operation of the equipment with the settings.

It is certainly the best way to test the operation of the equipment.

    Please post comments.

  • Re: Tecra M11 sudennly freezes and the cooling fan starts to run

My Tecra M11 laptop is running Windows7 and with a broadband dongle Telstra wireless internet lights up and works normally for a period of time.

Sudennly it freezes completely and 5 seconds later the cooling fan starts to run until I power off using the power button.
    Clues?
    Thank you

You must understand that on this virtual path, it is not easy to say what the problem is here.
I can imagine that some background process starts and increase the use of the CPU at the critical level when the motherboard sensors register at higher temperature of the processor and cooling fan starts to run fast enough.

Try to check in the Task Manager, if something like that happen.

I put t know how you have configured your operating system and to applications that run in the background, but also to try to stop treatments that you don't need and change some settings.

  • Power On problems with Tecra M11 - 10Z

We have problems with our Tecras.
When they are used in the field, the problem is the same on 75 machines and they cannot be turned on at all.

It is sometimes useful to remove the battery, sometimes it it dosent and the laptop cannot turn on the next two days, and then it works well again until it does it again...

How can it be, its starting to be a very big problem...

We have tried to turn off the TPM and they perform the update to the newest bios, they are all running windows 7 pro 32-bit...

I hope this is enough information because my English is not that great, and I hope that someone has solved this problem...

  • Use of Tecra M11 on Express Port Replicator II

Hello all, I wonder if the Group of experts can help with a small problem Im having with my Ministry of the Interior

My kit is a Toshiba Tecra M11 with Win 7 Enterprise, that I use with a port replicator Port Express and I just upgraded to a Lifebook Seimens, also with a cradle of home. The way I like to work is to use the laptop to connect Central company on the internet by VPN network and then use my PC at home to connect to the laptop via DRC - if I can use the screen Monitor wide and large keyboard (my job is very large Excel spreadsheets). It worked well with the Siemens and especially work with Toshiba, but for a small problem.

After I have logged on to the network and connected to the laptop, I want to put the lid down, then put the laptop and its cradle of home from the road on a shelf. This has worked with Siemens, but whenever I have try with the Toshiba it puts the machine to sleep as soon as the cover closes and the DRC on the main PC session is suspended. The Toshiba is mounted on its cradle of home throughout this process. Computer laptop & cradle to host both the main pc are all connected by a wired connection to the same router netgear

How to stop what is happening, that is how to use the device on its base of home with the lid down?

    concerning

In the Windows power plan settings, you can choose the action to COVER closed. The default setting will stay and that is what you have described. So I recommend disabling this option for each Windows power profile.

Otherwise, follow the instructions posted by Akuma. If you make an update of the BIOS, unplug all devices and close all running programs before doing this.

  • Tecra M11-103 - mini displayport doesn't seem to work

I posted a question, but it was published, and I think that I misunderstood.
So I'll try to ask better now...

I own a Tecra M11-103 it has both a vga port/bus (I'm not sure what to call it) and a mini displayport.
Everything worked fine until, in the middle of watching TV (laptop was connected to the TV via hdmi adapter mini displayport has) something was wrong, and since then the port is not identified... the vga port works fine but the mini displayport simply ceased to recognize each time a cable is plugged...

How can I reinstall the port itself?
I tried to reinstall the display driver, but it did not help, I thought maybe reinstalling the chipset utility, but I don't know what this means and what is the danger...

If my question is still not clear please help me go the more accurate information...
    Thank you

  • Tecra M11-LaTeX runs slow on external monitor using Express Port Replicator

    Hi all

I am having trouble with my Tecra M11 with an external monitor, through an Express Port Replicator II.

It is very accurate, but I am running texlive 2010 on my laptop to write a thesis. Whenever I use my laptop screen feature is very good, and it works very fast, no lag when I compile my document. As soon as docking it into my docking station at work to use it on a big screen, whenever I use the same program, it slows down a lot, finally causing the crash program. Its frustrating to lose a lot of your thesis like this! When I connect the external monitor directly to the laptop, it works fine again.

Something goes wrong in the docking station. Anyone know how I can fix this? Im a little confused and ideas. Maybe I pilot or something im unaware of. My docking station is maybe defective?

    Thank you

    Jake

Port replicator port on which do you use? VGA or DVI?

It won't be easy to provide the answer to your question. It is not possible to test all the software available with docking station and research solutions.
    I would say: bad luck.

  • Fingerprint utility doesn't work for normal users - Tecra M11

    Hi all

I installed windows 7 pro laptop Tecra M11 and the Toshiba finger print utility does not work for normal users.
This works only for domain administrators. The TFPU is not working is not for users in the normal domain, local users, local administrators. If we run the utility, it will ask you to enter the password of windows, and once we have applied the password, then the message saying 'entered password is not valid' will invite even if we try to use the utility first.

If we try with a domain administrator account, it will work without any problem. Can someone help me just shoot this question?
    Thank you.

How many people and how many accounts should work on this laptop?

To be honest I don t know what do you mean under normal users
Install OS and create user account/accounts, define the utility of fingerprints and let us know if it works properly.
