  • How can I reinstall the Intel Management Engine Interface?

Hey there. I have a Lenovo Yoga 2 13, i5 and have some problems with the boot and sleep.

Startup problem: it takes 30 sec - 1 min at startup and display the Lenovo logo and the rotating circle

Pépin to sleep: the most of the time, if I close the lid for more than 20 seconds and open it again the screen starts flashing and then the computer shuts off.

So I tried the problem to resolve these issues, which lead me to the "Device Manager" where I have a past by each element and check for driver updates. Surprisingly, there were about 5-6 required. But the "Intel Management Engine Interface" did not work. The first time, it gave me an error and the second time (he had always the sign of error small triangle on yellow), he said that all the drivers are up to date. In my reading of the internet, some people were saying that the most recent update for this chipset was causing problems (ver.11) and that I should downgrade to version 9. So I uninstalled the driver, and then (I have a feeling that it was my mistake) also uninstalled the "Intel Management Engine Interface" how it disappeared from my list of 'Device Manager '. But when I tried to install the driver again for version 9 the error that appears is "this computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software. Worm. 11 also gives me an error (even if I don't remember right now).

I have scowered the internets and found nothing even come close to answering that question. Any help appreciated.

As a side note, I also have some freezing problems when I plug in the power adapter, even if I think that maybe I should ask this question in another post...

Fixed. She appeared again in the device again Manager and I was able to do the downgrade. Don't know if I've seen a much improved...

  • 8086 3b 64 = driver Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI)?

I have a new computer that was custom built for me by a shop.
The computer works fine, I noticed in Device Manager, however, that in the other devices section
There is something called "PCI Simple Communications Controller" which has a yellow exclamation point.

    On the site www.pcidatabase.com
I looked at the details of the pilot, the vendor: 8086 Dev: b 3 64 SubSys:83831043

On the page of intel, it is listed at the bottom article pending... the chip is listed as Intel Management Engine Interface
What is c? The note on the pcidatabase said something about laptops that confused me.
Googling "Intel Management Engine Interface" did not come with something relevant.

What is the IMEI, I download this driver? Can someone enlighten me?

Im running windows 7 64-bit, intel core i5 750 processor desktop computer.

    Hello

The "Intel Management Engine Interface" is a part of the VPro technology from intel.

This IMEI technology allows you to manage your remote pc.

You can download the update of the driver for your chipset.

See the link below for the procedure to install this update.

  • CQ2909E0 - Intel Management Engine Interface driver for Windows 7

    Hello

I installed Windows 7 on my desktop CQ2909E0, but need me a "PCI Simple communications controller" and the Ethernet controller. I think I must install the com controller before I can install the ethernet controller. It is; I can't find the right driver for the PCI card.

    Please notify.

You should be able to use software HP and Driver Downloads page of the desktop HP Pavilion p2 - 1117 c. This unit and your, use the same motherboard basis and therefore most of the drivers should work on your computer.

Simple Communication controller is the Intel Management Engine Interface driver and the ethernet controller is Atheros network controller driver. The rest of the driver should work as well.

  • How to find a Windows Update for Intel Management Engine 7.0.0.1144 / 7.0.0.1118

Intel has already been removed and a bunch of old device drivers and so I collect a set of the most appropriate for reasons of safety for my W-7 64-bit systems. Only I can't find are Intel Management Engine 7.0.0.1144 to DZ68BC and 7.0.0.1118 for DH67BL. I searched on intel.com, but found nothing. Downloads of Intel has two inputs, 8.1.0.1248 and 8.1.0.1252, with these with the support for the 2nd and 3rd generation processors, but I would find those 2nd generation only. I know they exist because Windows Update offers you with the exact name being "Intel management engine components." My question is, how do I get a non-Microsoft Update? I searched the place "Intel Management Engine 7.0.0.1144" on Microsoft.com, but all this of I found was the following link that allowed me it in my cart. It was not clear what I do after that. http://catalog.update.Microsoft.com/v7/site/ScopedViewInline.aspx?UpdateId=c2227b13-0d0c-488a-967e-4c21969e2fce

    Go here for 7.0.0.1144

    https://Downloadcenter.Intel.com/download/21927/Intel-me-7-management-engine-driver-for-Intel-Desktop-Boards

Select to see the basket, then download.

You can get it here 7.0.0.1118. It is in the form of an .exe (R292194.exe) file, but you can use 7zip if you want to extract its components.

What operating system do you use?

Unless the laptop is used in a managed corporate network (IE, if it's your personal computer) you can safely disable the engine Intel AMT in the bios.  (and uninstall the drivers).  This will free up memory as speed up your startup process.

  • Intel Management Engine Interface problem

This device cannot start. (Code 10)

    STATUS_DEVICE_POWER_FAILURE

Have installed intel latest driver for this on my Dell 8700 and it is always marked as non-operational in the Device Manager.

Always include the version of Windows.

    Read this at Microsoft forum.

I would like to start by erasing the BIOS (for example, the last message out there):

    1. Reboot and immediately press F2 to open the BIOS Setup
    2. Copy down all current settings
    3. Power off, unplug
    4. Power button press / hold for about 15 seconds
    5. Open the case and remove the motherboard battery
    6. Power button press / hold for about 30 seconds
    7. Reinstall the battery
    8. Case of close and restart
  • Management Engine Interface (MEI) driver update?

Hello, yesterday I had a problem with my HP Envy 15 t-j100 suddenly it became slow mortal! a similar behavior after I reinstall windows 8.1 and during this time, installation of the Driver Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) located in the list of drivers for my laptop (http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4158&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=6521... the problem.

Yesterday, I reinstalled the driver again and which solves the problem, I was wondering is there an update for this driver anywhere? I tried HP Support Assistant with the Intel Driver utility (http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect/) no luck so far.

The thing is that I don't want to deal with this problem every two months.

    Thank you.

    Hello:

There is a updated driver of MEI.  I don't know if that will fix the problem or not well.

This business model is the same chipset and processor than your series.

  • Venue 11 Pro BIOS / Intel Management Engine problems

    Hello

Recently my Tablet Dell place 11 Pro 7130 (vPro) with Windows 8.1 x 64 has had problems applying power. He would have before start in 20 seconds or so, and now it may take a minute or more before you post what whatsoever.

In the Device Manager Windows "Intel Management Engine Interface" shows an exclamation point and wrote:

"The device cannot start. (Code 10)

    STATUS_DEVICE_POWER_FAILURE ".

The research forums, I tried to update the drivers of the IME by using different versions. I tried to Dell website, as well as Intel. They all fail to install with the same error as above.

Here are the most recent driver Dell tried support:

    http://www.Dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=PRRRC&FILEID=3339487189&OSC

When I tried to Flash the BIOS of the A12 A13, it gives me no errors, loin very well until he decided to restart. After the reboot happens exactly as previously having never run the BIOS flash.

I reached out to Dell support and they tried to install the same driver over and over again (about half a dozen times or more) before they me just reinstall my OS based on what forums suggest.

So what I asked of them is a replacement motherboard, I get not anywhere, but I feel that it is all related to these problems:

    http://en.community.Dell.com/support-forums/mobile-devices/f/4586/t/19542362?pi239031352=4

    http://en.community.Dell.com/support-forums/mobile-devices/f/4586/t/19589473

Can someone enlighten us more on this topic? I don't think a reinstallation of the operating system will solve this, and my current thoughts are I'm stuck without being able to Flash the BIOS thats why IME is bad mood against me.

I'm not tense at this point, all hope based on the forums that I will get this tablet in good operating condition, and once the dell technical support suggested I ignore the error it lead me to believe that I'll buy a new Tablet 8 months in possession of it.

    Thank you.

Unfortunately, you will need to return the unit to the deposit to this fixed.   Once a unit is in this State, it is not possible to update the BIOS via the customer facing tools.   Deposit use a special tool which allows to overcome and correct state.   Apologies for the inconvenience.   Note that the most recent BIOS version have fixed ME Intel which should avoid this problem again.

That's what I've learned about the problem that you have:

Intel longer supported Intel independent firmware Recovery (IFR) function so that it is advisable to remove the RSI program.

    How to:

    1. go in Control Panel / "Programs and features" using the Windows key + X.

2 remove the Intel management engine Firmware Recovery Agent

    3 reset
