Re: Upgrading computer laptop RAM

I'm trying to upgrade the memory on my PC, however, I do not know if I have cards DDR2 or DDR3.

Would also be upgrading my system to make much of a difference, I am owner of a Satellite A505-S6973 with 2.1Ghz dual-core proc and 4gigs of ram under Vista Edition home premium 64-bit.

According to this document:

You can upgrade up to 8 GB DDR2 800 MHz

Hi everyone, before forward us here are the details of my laptop,

    HP dv6 3264-ca

    AMD Triple-core 2.1 GHz processor

    6 GB OF RAM

    128 MB of video memory

I would like to know if I install Windows 7 Ultimate on my laptop, it is finally possible to upgrade my RAM 16 GB.

I ran a check for my motherboard through CPU - z:

    Manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard

    Model: 143F

    Chipset: AMD 785GX

    Southbridge: SB800

Then Yes. Is it possible for my laptop manage anything more than 8 GB or the 16 GB?

    Thank you!

The maximum memory capacity is 8 GB. The question that you will encounter when you try to install 8 GB memory modules is that is that there is no support current BIOS for this capacity modules.

If HP provides a BIOS updated which are supported by the modules of this ability, then installation of modules memory 8 GB won't be a problem. Until that happens, it will be a financial risk to buy the modules just to see if it will work.

  • Pavilion 15-ab043sa: cannot reset to factory settings after the upgrade computer laptop brand new 10 Windows

I bought 2 new laptops, they seem to be special models not listed is not in the HP support site, purchased from Currys PC World in the United Kingdom.

First HP Pavilion 15-ab045sa laptop computer 15.6 "-red, upgraded to windows 10 perfectly well and I made a backup of the system while I studied the creation of recovery media (this info must be printed with the laptop in the box, rather than letting the user have to find BTW)."

The other a HP Pavilion 15-ab043sa laptop computer 15.6 "-blue, for my parents, has turned into a total disaster."

The two models are the same, except that the first is red and the other is blue, that's why they have different product numbers?

I was now in a position where the recovery on the D: drive partition is not a factory reset.

I did not even recovery disks as having the first one to go smoothly, I thought the same thing would happen on the second laptop and I got the recovery disc then.   I tried to create a USB stick recovery, but I had no one who can save the system settings - need at least 32 GB free.

This occurred as first I started the laptop, made of windows, MS Office 365 updates, added then waiting 2 days for windows 10 to arrive.  When it came it installed fine and then I added a printer driver for an HP printer and made some configurations of the operating system.  At the next reboot showed something was wrong as the boot took over 7 minutes.  As the synaptics app was referenced twice in the tab start Task Manager also had strange things in the system.  Rather than go back to a previous system restore point that I attempted to identify what was wrong and uninstalled all without success.  I then had the opportunity to go back to 8.1 for Windows or "reset the PC.  Not a lot of explanation on delivery to zero and certainly no warning options that the D: partition was no longer valid.  Windows options were "in my face" so I don't think watching HP recovery.  So I chose to run from Control Panel 'Reset the PC and keep the files'.  So, indeed, I now have a clean install of Windows 10 but have lost all applications that were on the factory orginal building.  I see no way to re - install all of these programs and find the license keys.  I have more HP recovery at all.

So I have no way to put the blue doesn't return to the factory settings.

Advice please, I want a laptop blue, the same as the red, i.e. Windows 10 with all applications that have come to the factory as well as the correct printer drivers and a time of less than 30 seconds of starting.

You are not sure if there is anything I can copy from red to blue to get it going again?

Any help gratefully appreciated, thank you

  • Pavilion G6 - 2163sr: Max RAM computer laptop HP Pavilion G6 - 2163sr

    Hello

I want to improve my laptop for 2 * 8 GB RAM. Motherboard supports this amount of memory?

So understand, my motherboard model is HP 183rd (U3E1) but I didn't find its specification in the web.

    Thanks in advance.

    Here's the official specs:

    http://h20564.www2.HP.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docid=emr_na-c03362719

Basically, the motherboard is the laptop model. Laptops are designed of the earth upward by the manufacturer so there is no separate computer laptop itself set of specifications of the motherboard.

The specs say 8 maximum of concerts, but it's a 3rd generation of processor Intel Core. However, the maintenance manual, which is usually more reliable than the specifications, said as 8 GB maximum and does not specify a compatible 8-gig module.

    Repair manuals

Even Crucial said 8 maximum of concerts and they perform ongoing tests because if they can sell you larger modules they want to be able to do.

    http://www.crucial.com/USA/en/compatible-upgrade-for/HP-Compaq/Pavilion-G6-2132tx

So, bottom line, I think it might take 2 x 8 gig modules, but it would be a big gamble and I guess that it can take only 2 x 4 GB.

  • Pavilion 15-ab150sa: HP - Pavilion 15-ab150sa 15.6 "laptop RAM UPGRADE QUESTION

It is said in the task manager that one slot free, I was just wondering if I could upgrade the laptop to 16 GB. Laptops have already been 1x8gb.

Can my all new laptop handle it?

Thank you very much, and best wishes,

    Mr. Hayle.

Unfortunately, HP has not posted a manual for your specific model. The Star Wars thing is the series of 15 t-ab100 and the same physical case and the layout, just Intel AMD not. There is a forum for active discussion on the model of Star Wars and we know by experience of the user, it can be upgraded to 16 gigs and it also comes with a single module of 8 GB and an open slot.

I think this might be your manual, even if it is found under the designation 15z-ab000, A8-7410 processor and the plug and the configuration described in the manual seem to be the same as yours:

    Manual

    It is said expressly:

Supports up to 16 GB of RAM in the following configurations.

I do not work for HP. I am a user final colleague who has some knowledge based on fact that for a few years. I never came across a computer that will a 8 GB module and has a slot for memory that will not accept a second module of 8 GB for a total of 16 concerts. If you buy the 8 GB module and it doesn't work I'll buy it from you for a reasonable current retail value. Just PM me.

Note that this upgrade memory isn't a thing authorized for mutual assistance. The warranty may or may not remain intact.

Also be aware that the upgrade from 8 GB to 16 GB does not alter the performance of the machine much, if at all for the majority of computer users and could well be a waste of money. But if you do heavy photo or video production work, drop the pieces of music or compile large batches of the Code you can use 16 gigs successfully. Same game didn't really need more than 8 GB, however.

  • Laptop HP 2000: upgraded my computer laptop processor

I'm interested in upgrading my laptop cpu and im wondering the maximum GHz, I did research all night and I found nothing so far. For now its got a 1.3 GHz cpu and I would get at LEAST a 2 GHz if possible.

Well, you have the E-300 AMD processor. It is a portable Wal-Mart and was designed to be sold at a very attractive price.

You need to update or at least replace the motherboard to make any type of upgrade. Even the best option of AMD (with processor soldered to the motherboard) is not very powerful. You can put in a motherboard that would accept an Intel i5 processor, but that would be to buy a motherboard, processor and cooling fan, which are likely to cost more than the original selling price of the laptop. However, if you want to try to do that, we can help you.

    Here is the Manual:

    Manual

    It would be the motherboard:

For use only with models with an Intel Core i5 or i3 processor

Models with Windows 8, standard 685107-501

    Best processor:

    i5 - 3230 M 2.60 GHz processor 711903-001

    Fan and radiator:

For use only with the computer models equipped with an Intel processor 685086-001

All versions of the motherboard max out with 8 GB of RAM.

Response PLZ! It's my first time handling HP products and I don't want it to end like this...

    Thank you!!

Yes, this was not a choice good processor if you want to do demanding tasks. You have the N3700 processor which is a low power (both in terms of calculation and electricity) designed for long battery life, without not demanding calculation.

    http://cpuboss.com/CPUs/Intel-Pentium-N3700-vs-Intel-Core-i3-5010U

It is as powerful as an i3, about 85-90%, which isn't really too bad considering how little juice it uses.

See p. 16 of the manual here, with 2 messages. The CPU is soldered to the Commission is not able to be upgraded separately, and the only processors available on this model are low power. And a motherboard would cost about as much as the laptop.

    Repair manuals

Believe it or not, the top of the page processor is the M3 Skylake which runs at 900 mhz, but is even more powerful than the N3700, but not a lot.

Purchase of a computer is not the brand. It's the material inside. If you decide to replace this one, please ask here or on a similar technology that is out there and its capabilities on-line forum. It was easier, but is now a bit complex.
