RE: White Balance and color temperature

Can we do the same kind of white balance, as we have in Photoshop Camera Raw, in Premiere pro?

Also, we can change the color temperature in Premiere Pro?

Thank you.

Very few cameras RAW video format out of the box –, RED, Arri, BlackMagic.  There are no DSLR that can do it for the video, even if they probably all do for still images.

That said, I understand that some Canon models can be made to the RAW video format with magic lantern was last updated, but I don't know how well these files would work in PP, as Adobe has no support for them.

Hi, I've been away from taking pictures for awhile (focusing on FCP - X & videos). I've noticed recently that Apple has moved things from iPhoto to Photos. Whatever... My biggest concern is how I color balance and make the picture white balance? I've lived everywhere I thought it would be, but not luck. Can someone advise me on how to make these pictures? If this isn't the case, I can do them in iPhoto and continue to use it, or I don't expect too much from Apple?

  • White balance difference between development and library in 2015 of Lightroom

    Dear users of Lightroom,

I noticed a bug important on Lightroom since I have the version improved (2015). When I moved to the Development Panel to the library panel, white balance and that appear is not the same! It is really annoying because my images contains much more yellow in the library panel in the development one.

I tried to export to JPEG, but the exported file contains the white balance that appear in the library panel.

Is this only happens to me? What is a normal feature that I noticed earlier? Or I'm going crazy?

Thanks for the reply... I can't work in my photos with this problem on.

    See you soon!

He points to a bad monitor profile. You need to calibrate your screen. It can also be caused by a problem with the GPU acceleration. Try to see if turning that disable in preferences-> Performance fix.

  • Bridge CS5 applies wrong white balance during extraction of thumbnails (only for raw files)

Hello to all the assistants of Adobe,

Photographer welder here. I use a Canon T2i and I've been shooting raw with automatic white balance.

After I downloaded the CR2 files to the bridge, bridge starts thumbnail extraction. It is then that the problem begins: I watch bridge thumbnail extraction photo after photo, turning them into white balance bad one by one. After the bridge is done, I open one of these photos in Camera Raw, it shows the picture in the "custom white balance". I could go back to "As Shot". But now, each Bridge photo has custom white balance and is difficult to bridge. This screenshot shows what looks like my bridge after thumbnail extraction...Screen shot 2011-04-22 at 12.25.07 PM.png

Yesterday, just out of curiosity, I took a few photos with the settings of the different on the camera white balance. I downloaded their bridge and bridge too wrote all the white balance settings. Then I imported the same pictures (from the same files) to iPhoto, they appear with writing correct balance. Please see the second screenshot.Screen shot 2011-04-22 at 12.05.38 PM.png

The third screenshot shows a unique photo that I opened the bridge to Camera Raw and the same photo, as it appears in iPhoto, the original two.

    Screen shot 2011-04-22 at 12.16.09 PM.png

Again, this only happens to CR2 files. All TIF, jpeg files are fine.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you!

    Any ideas?

First of all, taken of view Raw has the advantage of the evolution of the color temperature (balance of Pentecost) to what ever you like everything you shot in camera.

It seems once you have registered a custom default setting white balance and it is applied to each new file because you said bridge to do. The best way out of this is to open a raw file in ACR and the basic right tab you see a small icon (next to the base word) submenu. Click on it and the line select "Reset Camera Raw defaults" downstairs.

Also decide if you want to stay in 16-bit mode (you're now as shown in the blue line under the preview). If you want the chance it to 8 bits, just click on this blue line and choose your options in this menu. Just do it once for that same camera files, ACR remembers the settings for you.

Using 16-bit mode has advantages when the color corrections using critical (but you should also replace the ProPhoto color mode in my opinion). The downside is that the 16 bit doubles compared to 8-bit file size

Having put default ACR should immediately make your thumbs by building of new inches and previews, but if not, you must choose purge the cache for the file from the menu Tools / cache / purge the cache for the file. Now the new settings will apply.

It may take a while so let bridge do its job properly before starting other jobs in bridge (see the activity bar downstairs left to check if the bridge is still cached).

  • Canon 5 d Mark ii Images with the value of the white balance fixed. When they are imported into Lightroom, the value is different.

If I take a shot with the fixed value of 5200K WB (5 d Mark ii) and import into LR 2015.2.1, happens to 4850K. No presets or applied adjustments.

No idea why? How can I solve this problem?

    Rich

All raw converters use four multipliers of white balance RGGB tinted and embedded in the raw file EXIF data to set the white balance and 'calculate' the temperature values displayed inside the module development LR WB.

Scroll down to the "White Balance" section of the DCRAW tutorial PDF here: GUILLERMO LUIJK > TUTORIALS > DCRAW TUTORIAL it's all so raw converters all the rest of the white raw file and 'calculate' the temperature and tint values.

Here is a Canon 5 d MKII CR2 file with the White Balance adjustment 'in the know' behind closed doors:

    (Data EXIF Maker Notes)

The setting "As Shot" WB in LR shows a Temp of 4800 reading, which should produce a slight visual difference that the planned in-camera closed 5134 parameter, correct?

However, with the LR settings file, "As Shot" above the white balance CR2 is the JPEG file in camera perfectly on my Canon 5 d MKII (raw + JPEG file format). It's just that Temp readings do not, because they are "calculated" four RGGB multipliers. Each raw (LR, opening, C1) converter will probably show the values of temperature and tint different, since they are derived by using "reverse engineering" of the manufacturer of exclusive camera raw data structure and camera sensor response file.

Keep in mind that the spectral response of the camera is affected by changes in batch. A Canon 5 d MKII body can produce slightly different WB as one another using the same exact settings. Rather than depend on private clos or LR presets use a good white balance card or the ColorChecker Passport to 'calibrate' LR white balance settings standard shooting conditions (daylight, cloudy, Flash, etc.). For critical projects draw card of the white balance at least once for each unique lighting condition. You can then determine the correct inside the LR setting and settings of synchronization of the World Bank through all the images taken with this specific lighting.

  • Automatic white balance didn't work - photos is proved very violet/pink everything - can you help me?

I've been a photographer for these last years, and it's the first time I have encountered this problem. I shot an event for a couple (reception) and I didn't have my grey card, so I put my Canon 5 d mkII on the white balance automatic (shooting with a Canon 24-70 2.8 and a Sigma 85 1.4, if it helps). As you will see on the photos of two examples - photos taken in the conference hall was going well, but the Favorites of the event itself were surprisingly saturated. The room had a ton of very bright uplighting in purple and pink - the shooting was going on in the viewfinder, but once I got them in the LR4, there was an almost complete cast of violet/rose above it all. Adjustment of the balance of whites in LR for auto, tungsten, fluorescent - nothing has worked. Adjust the temporary sliders - only a little better. Reducing the vibrance and saturation has helped a little more, but I really find a solution! I can't afford to pay back their money, but if I can't find a decent solution, I'll do it. I want to give them the best possible color correction, but I'm pretty new to LR and I could use some help. Just to be clear, I'm not looking for a link to a tutorial on how to adjust the white balance - I read all the... I'm hoping by using someone who has experienced this same thing or can still offers advanced solutions that "try to set the sliders more» Thank you in advance!

This isn't a matter of White Balance, and you will not be able to adjust this image with the settings of white balance only - either behind closed doors or in Lr.

You shot this photo in colored light, and the effect you looks as if you want a fancy color filter in front of your lens.

I doubt if it can be adjusted to a 'normal' image looking at all. But for all its worth, here are the best I could come up with – even if I don't say it's THE best, in fact, it is still severely lacking.

And here's screenshots of the settings I used. I found that the most promising "adjustments" were in the calibration Panel. If you play a little bit maybe there is a better solution.

The image has a severe cast of purple, which is a red and blue combination. Increasing green will help. That is why I put the slider dyed in Basic-100.

In the calibration Panel, I put the still green hue, reduces the saturation of red and blue and changed the shades. Finally, in HSL, I reduced the saturation of blue.

PS: I think that the advice of Lee Jay is good. Create your own profile for counterweight in light color.

  • Camileo H20: How to save white balance settings

    Hello

Just got this camcorder and find my way round with him.

My question is when you replace the night mode settings and the balance of whites etc, when you close the screen and open it again to continue shooting, mode returned to the automobile and so has white balance settings.

The other settings would you like the way I did it is to say HD or 720 etc is this right.

Also use indoors under 60w lamps is non-existent.

    Thank you

    Hello zackwolf,

Yes you are right. A few changes like the white balance and so on go to settings by default automatically, if you close the screen.

OK - the other settings would you like the way that put you it is to say HD or 720, etc..

Maybe a new firmware would solve that problem, but I know there is no update of the firmware available for the moment.

    Best regards

  • Can I convert to black and white, then add color?

I was just curious to know if the touch of adobe photoshop can transform a black and white photo and then just add the colors you want. As you can do in CS5

    Hi hemigirl28,

Yes, this kind of technique can be accomplished with Photoshop Touch, the process may be slightly different than using Photoshop CS5. One of the features of Photoshop Touch is the painting with effects (Saturation, color, temperature, black & white, Dodge Balance / burn, brightness / contrast, Shadows / Highlights, curves, hue, sharpness, comic strip and a pencil). One of the tutorials included with the product market by taking a picture of a horse color, paint the background in black and white and then paint with a saturation increased on the horse itself to bring out. Check out the screenshots in this doc to see what I mean. http://forums.Adobe.com/docs/doc-1372

  • Wrong color white balance correction

I apologize if this question is simplistic in nature, but I'm still a Publisher amateur trying to correct some of the videos I made.

As a diver, I am constantly white balance under water.  However, occasionally, I have white balance where my topic has the correct color, but the background is more reddish instead of the beautiful blue sea.  What is the best way to correct color the background of a video without affecting the frontground object?

I imagine the levels is a great tool, but when I tried to play with the many settings, I continued by setting the object and the background.  What is the best way to fix the bottom?  Thank you.

Discover the way color corrector three; It has a secondary CC option that will allow you to hide the color correction to specific chroma and luminance values in the clip. That essentially allows you to isolate the color correction, so it changes only the parts of the image you want.

  • any1 know how correct color for white balance/color category?

Hey what's up guys just finished my 1st clip now I need 2 correct color & color grade. I willl be doing black and white video so told me I need 2 get rid of any color in my images. Check the basics and do a Google search. The first three listed will be videos, link following points to the Adobe Help files.

The basic tools are the same as in Photoshop, but there are a bunch of 3 plug-ins third out there that make the job easier. If run you one of the tutorials found in your Google search and you're stuck back to us.

  • DSC-HX200V color white balance off

I sent this service. I remembered the message board here, so I thought I would post it.

I just bought a new DSC-HX200V 20/06/13. He spent the day 14 back. The colors are far from many times. White will look BRIGHT yellow, yellow will be white or green. It's little like he thinks it is in one of the modes of effect as vives/pop colors I've tried setting the WB '+' and it will help a little. I tried different modes of settings for the White Balance, i.e. the Sun, clouds, etc., but most of the time, it only gets worse. I tried "SET white balance," where you set it to something like the white paper. Which works fine until I turn it off and I have to re - set again once I turn it back on. (I'm NOT talking to different conditions, but just turn it off and on again in the same conditions.) Shouldn't it be adjusted to these conditions?

BTW, I'm in Cape Coral, Fl 33990. Is it all local can I take it that it is verified?

    LeapingGnome

Yes, it remains on the "One Push" when it turns back on... or whoever it is on when it is off.

("it could mean that you might have to re - calibrate the WB custom everywhere.")

That wouldn't work too well asking time to stop so I can re - calibrate whenever it turns on.

Check out my other post on ISO stuck and have to do a reset.

About how long is the u-turn on sending in? Who pays for the shipping? I do not think go threw it on a device that is only 3 weeks. Being then without it.

    Thank you

  • Sunrise/sunset and the White Balance

I have a question about the automatic substitution of the White Balance when shooting sunrises and sunsets. A few days ago I got my first DSLR, the EOS 5 d Mk III. "I know that triangle ISO after the filming of the movie on my Canon a-1 I bought 34 years ago that still works). However, this white balance thing is a fourth dimension. Films are balanced to the light of day and the ISO is also dictation. To photograph a sunrise or a sunset, for me, it makes sense to adjust the balance of whites to 5200 Kelvin (daylight). I received a response from a camera club member who said that his pictures were all in the 5000 range. Others said ' Shoot in RAW and fix it in post processing. The second answer to 'fix later' just doesn't ring my Bell. What do things right the first time? Can I set up the white light of the day or a balance other setting? I can experiment always change the white balance; After all, I do not lose film. Here is a series of sunrises that I took using Kodak Portra 400, - 2/3 stop, on my Canon a-1. http://www.Flickr.com/photos/ralphhightower/sets/72157633079358301/ Thank you, Ralph

  • How to change the white text and more light colours of text and illustrations to deep colors or provide a deeper black outline, so that they are legible?

I noticed that the illustrations and white text are not readable as well as light colored fonts that I use. I have consulted with Microsoft and other help sections various areas recommended, but impossible to find what is the problem and how to solve these problems. In order to clarify, for example, if I go on a site that displays white text anywhere on the screen, or illustrations in white, I can't read or see anything even if I do expand. I tried to innovate in following things suggested in onlne Microsoft Help related to the resolution section, but can't find anything on this specific problem when I do a search. I tried to change my display resolution settings, change the background color of my screen, themes and even the font colors, but nothing changes for the problem. I also noticed that any file in my computer appearing in any color of light is also hard to read. I must not do something correctly, but I don't know what. It's a pain for example, when I go to a site, and the white text and illustrations appear, but do not have any black outlining. Magnification just leads to the same result. Can anyone identify which is the problem, the settings on which I should be focusing and provide instructions on how to fix this?  I use Windows Vista Home Premium and I am a layman when it comes to computers.

I want to print black and white with empty color cartridge. My model is all-in-one HP Deskjet 4288.

The Deskjet F4288 joined the printheads on the ink supply.  These are replaced at each change of cartrdige so there is no concern about printing empty color or black cartridges.

You should be able to print in ink entry mode "backup" by removing color (or black, but not both) cartridges.  There will probably be a warning message about ink backup mode but you should be able to print and the printer will work regardless of the cartridge is available.  In handwritten backup with the only color black cartrdige mode areas will print in shades of gray.  If print ink backup mode only the installed color cartridge then black will be printed by mixing colors.

See page 75 of the manual here, that says:

    Use the entry ink-backup mode
Use ink-backup mode to operate the HP all-in-one with only one cartridge. The
ink-backup mode begins when an ink cartridge is removed from the print cartridge
transport. During the ink-backup mode, the product can only printing from the computer.
You cannot start a print job from the control (such as copying or scanning a Panel
    original).

NOTE: When the HP all-in-one device works in ink-backup mode, a message is
displayed on the screen. If the message appears and two print cartridges are installed
in the product, check that the piece of tape plastic protection has been removed
each print cartridge. When the plastic strip covering the contacts of the print cartridge, the product
cannot detect the cartridge is installed.
