Re: Yoga 2 issue of pro sound

Hi Amy. We have a Yoga 2 Pro with the problem of helmet. It is a second computer so that we can live without it for a time to the cause. The sound only plays through the headphones, when get out us them, nothing. We used a Bluetooth speaker as a work-around.

Let me know if you still need one. We're in SoCal.

Best,
Husband

  • Issue of Pro 6100 satellite about the RTC battery

    I know it's a huge topic which will be discussed on, and my Toshiba is screwed. I even did a lot of research and found it disappointing that my Toshiba may not be repairable, but I have a question;

When I boot my Toshiba, it looks good, and I can run normal programs (I get the error of bad RTC battery), but for some reason, the Toshiba randomly freezes and I have to stop it after 5 to 20 minutes to use me.

I tried to leave it on, as some other forum topics proposed to charge the bettery RTC and it went okay, then 20 minutes later, it froze and I had to reboot.

Sometimes it is not still turn just after that I have forcefully arrested, so I have to wait from hours to days so he can go back on. But it's useless cause it hangs again.

Any input on it's great and I'll take advice for this problem. I want the RTC battery but it keeps freezing on me, if I want to find a way to prevent this. Thank you!

PS: ASP Toshiba Theres two locations in my city (Markham, Ontario, Canada), so if all else fails, I'll take the laptop with my father at one of these places.

    Hello

If you want to reload the RTC battery you don t need boot up the laptop.
You can simply connect the AC adapter to the laptop and allow it to charge for a piece of 8 to 12 hours.

The freezing issue for me sounds like an overheating problem. This can happen because of the dust and debris inside the laptop. In such cases, cooling modules may not work correctly.
In case you I recommend first charging the RTC battery (don t need to turn on the device), then to clean the fans (you can use carefully vacuuming).
If the laptop freezes then you could try to reinstall the operating system.

If all of these tips n help so you should ask the ASP for the verification of the laptop.

  • Pro 3 on screen yoga movement interferes with the sound?

Just picked up my new Yoga Pro 3 a few days ago and overall, I love it, except that I just noticed that there is a strange problem when listening to music (be it local or streaming via spotify).

If I review a document in Word, or even when accessing the screen Lenovo Support on the start menu, no scrolling left to right horizontal (whether with the touchscreen or touchpad) causes interference crackling sound. I noticed it would be crackling as the Discussion forum cards were loading and appearing too.

It is not the speakers themselves, physical because this happens through headphones as well.

Strange thing is that it does not occur when you scroll vertically through a document.

Overall, it's not a HUGE problem, but because it is a new portable 2grand, I kinda figured I should ask NOW while it is still new and I haven't had the opportunity to load a lot on it. Just wondering if anyone had ideas OE to prevent this?

    See you soon

  • MacBook Pro sound stops once the connection when plugged headphones

On my MacBook Pro, when I connected my jack 3.5 mm (headphones or speakers) and I switched off, the sound stops once I have connection, once again. The speaker icon is gray and I have to remove and reinsert the connector to get her back. Can you help me, please? Thank you.

Check your settings in the Audio Midi application located in the Utilities folder.

Trick/Tip: Open GarageBand if installed then, open a program (optional).

Quit out of the app from GarageBand.

    =====================

    Repair Mac mysteriously mute

The background on the issue, is that there is a switch small sensor inside the plug headphones. When you insert a headphone jack, the sensor includes what is what and changes the setting of audio output for headphones. If you insert a jack for digital audio output, the unit switches to digital output. When you completely remove the plug, it should read the internal speakers.

The spirits tell me that there is a very good chance that you recently had something hostage in this port, a set of headphones or a cable leading to powered speakers, for example. When you remove the plug, something in the port have prevented triggering sensor properly. That's why you see Digital Out instead of the internal speakers.

The solution is to force the sensor to do its job. The safest way to do this is to simply run a plug in and out of the port, a few times. A large part of the time, this takes care of the problem by triggering sensor correctly. If this does not work, there may be dirt in the port. Before moving on to more invasive techniques, get a can of compressed air, plug the small tube which corresponds to the nozzle and the breath to air a few shots in the lane. With a little luck, should dislodge dirt and the port will operate as it should.

If this does not work, find a swab to foam tip that fits (electronics stores generally carry), dip it in rubbing alcohol and insert gently into the helmet in an attempt to wipe any tenacious dirt. I recommend foam rather than cotton fleece because the variety of cotton could leave the son behind. (This same technique works well with the bad conduct of ports from headphone output on devices such as iOS devices).

It is possible that dirt has nothing to do with it. On the contrary, it may be that the switch should just a subtle help. If a socket or a buffer does not work, I have heard people resetting successfully with a deft poke with a toothpick.

  • Mac Pro Sound cutting in and out

I just got a new Mac Pro (OSX 10.11.6) (3.7 Ghz Quad Core, 16 GB of Ram, Dual AMD D500 GFX, 500 GB Solid State Drive)

When video editing in Premiere Pro and sometimes listen to music in Google Chrome, the noise stops.  And it seems to be a bit random and sometimes simply minimize windows and change windows sound coming back.  I've dealt with it for a week now and can't really nailing a model, but it seems that if I switch to a different app and use it for a while and go back to Premiere Pro the sound sometimes works again.  This seems to happen in Google Chrome while listening to pandora when I adjust the volume of the sound will just completely disappear for a time seemingly random.

Also, I'm quite surprised by the slowness of the system seems to be.  Maybe my expectations were off line, but for a 4 000 dollar computer I expect quite easily handle HD videos.  I'm from a Canon C100 video editing and it's quite ordinary 1080 HD video and preview is set to 1/4 resolution, and the system is really slow.  It seems to fall 70% of executives in the Preview Panel and any action I take have as a half second delay on this.  Is this normal?  I have a personal computer at home that I built to about 1 k and do that kind of thing, no problem.

I appreciate of course any help you guys can provide.  I need to get this stuff flattened and so I can get some work!

See if a Safe Mode speeds up your Mac a little. Remove the system caches that could make a difference.

Follow these steps to start in safe mode.

    1. Start or restart your Mac.
    2. As soon as you hear the startup tone, hold down the SHIFT key.
    3. Release the SHIFT key when you see the logo Apple appears on the screen.

After the Apple logo appears, this may take longer than usual to reach the login screen or your office. This is because your Mac performs a check of directory of your drive to boot in safe mode.

To leave safe mode, restart your computer without pressing any keys during startup.

  • Final Cut Pro - sound level (EBU r128)

Currentl, I work for a good balanced "Loudness" EBU r128-standard project in Final Cut Pro. I was surprised that I wasn't able to find audiometers for verification and/or balancing tools / normalize the sound level.

    Any tipps?

I know: just the fact that I wasn't able to find it's not and the indicator because "he is not here." But if she's not here, why is it called 'final' cut?

    Hello

    Try the following.

First, download the Flash uninstall utility on the link below and save it to your desktop.

    Flash Player Uninstaller.

Once the download is complete, close all browser windows and start the program uninstaller.  Once done, restart the laptop.

Then, download and install Firefox , then using Firefox, download and install the latest version of Adobe Flash. Note: You can deselect the option to include McAfee Security Scan Plus before download.

Close all browser windows before you run the installer of Flash.

Start Firefox and see if the video play Ok - if they do, close Firefox, open Internet Explorer and click on the same link Adobe Flash above to get a command prompt to install the ActiveX component.  Once completed, restart Internet Explorer.

If you still get the problem of loading, run a check of the speed of your internet connection by using a site like the one on the link below, where it is causing the problem.

  • Yoga 10 - Very poor Bluetooth sound quality

    Hello

I bought roughly the new Yoga 10 Tablet. Now, I wanted to use it with headphones and bluetooth speakers and noticed that the sound quality is quite poor. As the treble's strange artifacts in it. Pretty hard to explain but the sound is very audible lower both helmet and taken my old Tablet even to untrained ears. It's kind of compareable to a low bitrate MP3, although not quite difficult to explain.

So far, I've tried connecting the load from JBL, Bose Soundlink Mini and a bluetooth headset from noname to the Yoga 10 Tablet and * ALL * have poor sound quality.

Now the funny thing. When I connect audio devices bluetooth mentioned to my old Tablet (Lifetab E10310) or my phone (Galaxy Nexus) is by one of my windows device, there isn't * no. * problem with the sound quality. Yes I know bluetooth audio is compressed, but given the 10 Yoga produces its largely inferior to other devices the problem is clearly the tablet of Yoga of course from the same material. No difference if high sound quality on the map microSD or spotify.

It is pretty much useless for listening to music via bluetooth.

    All suggestions greatly appreciated.

Ok. Returned Tablet - problem solved. Sort of.

I deffinately need an Android based Tablet, but it seems so difficult to find a good. I did not have high hardware demands and that Yoga 10 seems to do the trick and it was affordable too. However, it's a software has been total failure and I didn't want to exceed my return period to see if it matches Lenovo to solve problems. So now the hunt of another brand, but seems difficult. All have a major fault one way or another and if nothing else then on the battery life. Well. May be another couple of months with my Junk old Tablet and then the market will freeze. There was a glaring lack of introduction of beautiful tablets without major flaws for like a year or more (GPS might not be necessary, but a lot of apps that really just use google locationservice scored misunderstandably GPS as required, and as such it will install these apps via played googple - bad luck).

  • Yoga new tab 3 pro - I would return it?

Hi, I'm having a real problem with my new yoga 3 pro tab and I wonder if I should just go back and exchange it. I want this tablet (with more ram, frankly), but only if it works well.

The battery down slightly more than 10% an hour with light web browsing. (with the screen set to love with 35 percent) This is the real problem, but the browser blocks a lot too when I develop some links, he wakes up from his sleep by herself and then stays on about 10 minutes of waiting for me to enter my password, and autorotation - every time - keeps turning to the.

Should I contact Lenovo and exchange it? Or is this common? I thought he had 18 hours for mixed use.

    Dave

I think you will find that all of our YT3Pro have the problem.

Lenovo got ram hogging of the nucleus, often up to 1.3 GB! Leaving the system yor and apps to run less than 700 MB of ram.

Clearly, it sucks, and until it is resolved by lenovo, you will find that the device will come under critical conditions of ram, soetimes system crash.

Users who are not the problems are clearly not focusing on their system, while other users are the low ram question a real problem.

Like other devices use up to 300 MB for the kernel, we have actually been sold a 1 GB device. For a tablet of range modern sucks big time.

For my part not buy lenovo again. Excellent material of poor software and support!

  • He works on a Lenovo Yoga Tablet 3 (not Pro)?

Hi everyone, my beloved iPad2 leaves me, anyone know if Lightroom mobile smoothly (or almost) on a Yoga Lenovo 3 Tablet (not Pro), here are the specs:

-Qualcomm Snapdragon ARM Cortex-A7 1.1 GHz Quad Core

    -1 GB OF RAM

    -IPS 8 "1280 x 800 px

    -5.1 android

I saw another nice tablet, the Asus ZenPad Z300CG:

    -Intel® Atom™ 64-bit 1.2 GHz Quad Core

    -2 GB OF RAM

    -IPS 10.1 "1280 x 800 px

    -Android 5.0

-Intel 450 MP4 Mali graphics card

    Thank you very much!

    Matteo

Yes, okay, sorry.  I thought that I have post in the LR forum.  The minimum level of the OS for Mobile LR is 4.1 so two tablets you list would be allowed in this regard.  The 2 GB memory for the second seems to be better.  The current operating system for the new phones, at least, is 6.x Android, but I'm less sure if the tablets are only up there, yet.

  • Yoga 2 13 (non-Pro) compatibility Linux?

Just curious to know if anyone here has used the yoga 2 13 "model with Linux? I ordered a recently and I'm still waiting to happen, I've read some (older) comments that said compatibility was poor and some people say a lot of yoga-based questions have been fixed in recent kernels.

Doing things like hang it, backlight, auto rotation, locking of the keyboard/touchpad laptop-mode, etc?

Guess I'll answer my own question.

With the exception of the reorientation of the screen works out of the box with kernel 3.17 + GNOME 3.12 (using arch linux, but that probably doesn't matter much if you use a modern kernel). Apparently older kernels are buggy with wifi.

Pleasantly surprised. Only problem I've had is that the wireless card seems meh, at the beginning, I thought it was the drivers but further inspection, it seems that it's just not very good. The display is very high quality and overall it is a good laptop.

    Hello Lou price,.

It could be because of some software conflicts.

I suggest you put the computer to boot and check:

How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State

Note: once you have finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to configure Windows to use a Normal startup, referred to in the same article State
