Reactivation after a system restore
After having accidentally deleted some files, I finished a system restore on my work computer. When I restarted the computer and tried to get into Photoshop CS, I was told 'the configuration of your computer seems to have changed since the time that this product has been activated. To continue using this product, please click OK to activate it again to your new system setup, or click Cancel to exit. »
After clicking OK, I was given the option on the pop-up Activation Adobe to reagent on the Internet (which did not work because the 'activation system is not available at this time.") Then I tried by phone via the activation of automated software system. This gave me a phone number, my serial number, Activation # and Type of Activation and a place to enter the authorization Code provided by Adobe (not YET RECEIVED).
I called, entered all information requested several times and each time they refused my activation and tried to connect with a Customer Service representative. At that time, a record came the saying that is no longer, they help with the problems of activation by telephone and sent me to a section of the Web site that is not useful either. (www.adobe.com/go/activation). This referred me to the "still need help? Contact us: ("link to the Chat service.
I used the Chat service for "Devika" questions on this issue and received no help. They told me if I would like a phone number for technical issues, I have to pay if they solved my problem. Otherwise, she directed me to search the forums.
With the HELP of MY serial NUMBER and activation NUMBER, HOW can I REACTIVATE PHOTOSHOP AFTER a SYSTEM RESTORE?
You cannot reactivate cs ps.
However, adobe allows you to use ps cs2, l http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/creative-suite-2-activation-end-life.htm

After a system restore to a time before Windows XP, should I leave Safe Mode and restart normally. Completely restored restore operation the registry both before the intrusion of viruses if the date and time specified as the restore point is earlier than the time of the intrusion, but in the same 'on' the cycle of computer? I have to do something else before going back to safe mode?
Time as about 23:00 last night 7/29 restoration, first known intrusion by "XP Home Security 2012" was shortly after midnight 7/30.
I ended up a sde.exe process, which stopped the pop-ups. A full scan with Norton quarantine, JS. SecurityTool. After a restart of the computer, the normal features of the programs has been lost by the "Run" menu or icons on the desktop. By clicking on the icon for the normal .exe files redirected to the dialog box "select a program to open.
I restarted in Mode safe mode with networking and then restore. I tried opening IE and Excel and that they work properly in Mode without failure. They will work correctly when I leave Safe Mode and restart normally. Should I test other specific applications.
XP Home Security 2012 seems to have accessed or modified some files to DropBox (not sure how this program was installed, but it was already on).
Should I delete all DropBox files, just those showing a modification date corresponding to the intrusion of XP Home Security 2012, or don't you worry about this?

System Restore IS NOT the way to remove malware. The reason why you do not see the effects of the malware in safe mode is probably due to the fact that the process for most malware does not load in safe mode, and therefore not active.
Restart the computer in Safe Mode with network. Click HERE. Download Malwarebytes. Update Malwarebytes and perform a full scan. Choose to quarantine found nothing. Once completed click HERE and download Superantispyware Portable. Run a full scan quarantined found anything yet. Restart your computer in normal mode and perform a quick scan with Malwarebytes.

Hello
All of my documents and photos are missing after a system restore. Here's the story. A virus called "Windows Recovery" popped up earlier and I did a system restore to get rid of him. To restart the computer, all my files and photos were missing. I used the system restore in the past in similar situations and have never had any problems. I opened MS Office, and I found some documents in the recent documents list. They open up fine and I saved them, but is only some of the documents. I can find the files in my documents when I do a search on them, but they are empty, when I open them. I also find some pictures and documents when I do a search for them by name, but I remember only a few file names, so I can't retrieve many files this way.Can someone help me out here? Thank you

Original title: problems after a system restore
Not just a system restore last night (Windows 7 OS). And now the various little things do not work quite as it should. For example, my windows media player said now that there is no element in the music library. He shows me how to include files in my library, but when I do this (and my old files are still there in my music) nothing happens.
Similarly, my favorites of the Explorer tab was empty. I restored an older version, but the bookmarks that were under folders still will not appear in the favorties tab, even if I can see them when I look at the old version, I used to restore.
Hello
-For what reason were you running system restore?
-What version of Internet Explorer is installed on the computer?
I would suggest trying the following steps and check if it helps.
Method 1: Launch Windows media player troubleshooting library and check.
Open the troubleshooter in the Windows Media Player library
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-the-Windows-Media-Player-library-Troubleshooter
Method 2:
Favorites may not appear in the address bar of Internet Explorer 8 after the upgrade to Windows 7
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/974852
To do: Important This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

How to back up and restore the registry in Windows
If the steps in the Microsoft article above did not help, then follow these steps and check.
- Click Start
- Click on the computer
- Type %UserProfile% in the address bar
- Press enter on your keyboard
- Right click on the Favorites folder
- Click on Properties
- Click on Previous Versions
- Wait for the list of previous versions of load
- Select the version that you have lost the files/folders
- Click restore...

How can I find downloaded emails that disappeared after the system restore function?
I restored Ubuntu 14.10 at an earlier date, but the previously downloaded emails since my online account after the restored date disappeared. Where can I find them? Data is backed up on a weekly basis.
I have no idea, I suggest you to ask what you actually do on a forum of Ubuntu Linux. My guess is that you have completely replaced the files with the 'old', so the data are missing. Long experience which is anything "System Restore" or "system reset" will lead to nothing other than high blood pressure, gnashing of teeth and the loss data.

After the system restore, the icons do not show on the desktop. How can I fix it?
I uninstalled Google Chrome on computer Dell 1100 from my husband. Shortcuts on the desktop then didn't work. It seemed to me don't forget you must redo shortcuts after a restored system so I tried and the shortcut has not yet opened. Then I did a system restore using 10/07/12 for the date of restoration. After that there is now NOTHING on the screen/desktop other than her photo screen saver. We followed the instructions found online to use the f8, keys, etc., and he has changed nothing. How to recover "Favorites" on browser after using "System Restore".
After problems with the systems updates (update failed), I used 'more than 5 days of system recovery' to return to the time before the problem started. After the recovery of the system, all my "favorite quote" disappeared and I want to get back them. I have an old backup DVD and wonder if I could use my computer until the back ups. The problem is that I don't know IFI load the DVD into my hard drive would do the job. I'm afraid I can complicate the issue more before that I don't know what the DVD of loading would.

After completing the restoration I was downloading all updates. after SP2 updates are available. The computer crashed again after the installation of one of the most recent updates. The update was probably an update of graphs, I have done research. Now my computer does not load windows. I get the BSOD and cannot access the windows at all, not even in safe mode. I can't do anything for drivers or anything else because I can't even access my computer in cmd mode. The error code is STOP: 0 X 00000116 (0X872C4AB0, 0X8A9C30, 0x00000000, 0x00000002)...

Portege M400 system hangs after Vista system restore
My system crashed by doing a system restore. Now on startup it gives errors. When I boot from the CD, I go for the choice of the partition to install on and there is no partition, and it has this error:
No hard drive found. Click on load a driver to provide for installing mass storage driver.
I went to Toshiba and Microsoft for help. Or can direct me to the right solution. I can't find my recovery disk. I have just the windows installation disc. Is there an easy fix for this?

For any problem, reinstall Vista, contact the manufacturer of your laptop.
Here is the General info on reinstallation of Vista:
Vista recovery media obtain and/or use the Partition Recovery Vista on your computer to the factory settings .
There is no Vista free download legal available.
Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.
Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.
In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.
See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.
Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...
Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.
Also ask them if it is possible to do the recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.
They will tell you how to do this.
Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.
Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, Acer, recovery disk/s etc).
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed. There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.
If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):
Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu
