Reactivation of Windows 8

I'm a laptop HP Envy Touchsmart M7 fastening for a friend who was sold at Best Buy.  Three months after the purchase, the motheboard is returned and the GeekSquad repaired with a replacement motheboard, I guess, that they got from HP because it was still under warranty.  I couldn't fix the laptop except by doing an update of the operating system.  Everything went find until he tried to be activated, and I got a 0xC004C003 error (Error Description: Activation server determined the specified product key has been blocked).  It was after this that I discovered that the motherboard has been replaced.  I understand that the replacement card should East came with a new paper digital product key (the original Board comes with a built-in key).  I spoke with my friend and she looked his paperwork, but did not find any digital key for the replacement card.  My question is this, HP would have ANY records about the card sent to Best Buy and its digital key replacement motherboard.  Its warranty is now expired with HP and hotline could cost him, but it would be worth IF they can help on this issue.

Someone has similar problems and what was the solution.

Thanks in advance

Bruce

Thanks for the help.  I contacted Microsoft as directed by the Geek Squad and they could not help me, and they said to contact the manufacturer (HP).  I did telephone and support people have been able to provide me with a NEW 25-character activation code and they waited until Windows 8 activated before they were signing.  I was very happy with the support I got.  Still did not really know what the problem was.  I found the Jelly Bean program code, but that would not work.  I'm just glad I got this settles.

I have a client with a HP Pavilion Notebook 15-e020us. The motherboard is dead and must be replaced. It is, of course, out of warranty. I can find used/given to nine mothers online, but worry about the reactivation of Windows 8.1 once the replacement card is installed.  Can someone enlighten me on how to go about this without having to pay for a new license key?  I met the same problem with a Dell laptop and have ended up changing the license to it, making the project too costly.

    Hello

    > so sorry for what we cannot provide or be able to get this product key

  • Inspiron 15 3537 and reactivation of Windows 8.1 problem.

    Hello.

I just bought my new laptop. I have it for about 10 days. Everything was ok at first, but after 3-4 days, that I decided to upgrade to Windows 8.1. After that the laptop never wakes up after going sleep little matter what I do.

It seems that others have the same problem. I tried to uninstall and reinstall display drivers, I removed a bluetooth device that there was an error with 8.1 but I couldn't solve the problem of reactivation. I ran the resolution of the problems of power, nothing. Hybrid sleep in the advanced power settings was already closed.

Is there a solution? Help, please. It's really frustrating to have to do each time a hard reset

I have the same laptop. My solution for this problem is:

-go to Device Manager and uninstall the drivers for AMD and Intel card (Please select uninstall components... and do not restart your computer)

d ' Add/Remove programs please remove all software associated with the graphics card (catalyst, graphic intel)

    -restart the computer

-Download the latest drivers from dell for card site intel and amd and install it, then restart your computer

And now your problem should be solved, now my computer with no problems turning on sleep mode.

  • The reactivation of Windows Defender in Windows 8

    Hi all

This is my first time here, so please bear with me.

I bot a desktop HP Pavilion yesterday and everything was going well until I tried to turn on WINDOWS DEFENDER. The message is "Windows Defender disabled by seller". I don't want to use any other anti-virus, anti-blah... blah package since I was an all-things-Microsoft kind of guy. Anyway, how can I go abt turning Windows Defender powered? I really, really appreciate anyone who can help me on this one.

Yes, you need to uninstall "Norton Internet Security", following the steps you provided. I said "disable and uninstall", this is because many AV programs won't let you unistall them while they are active.

To reactivate Windows Defender, go to the new Windows 8 desktop and type 'Action', click on 'Settings', and click on "Action Center"... check the status of Windows Defender and click the button "turn on Now". Update definitions for Windows Defender... and then do a full scan.

  • Need help with the reactivation of windows xp

I clicked on a security message that came when I turned on my pc. It was obviously the wrong thing to do and probably some kind of scam. He deleted the installation windows completely. Now it says I have to reactivate windows xp. I found the product key on a sticker on the computer 25-digit and entered it. Then there is an ID that I entered when I phoned the number assigned. He said while the product is not authentic and told me to go out and buy something authentic. There is no option to speak to a human being. All solutions? The computer had windows xp preloaded when buying Dell in 2005 and never been a problem until now. I am sure that it is authentic, but am going round in circles at the moment. I can't get to anything on the computer right now.

    Hello fel_myriouma,

The option to talk to a human being comes at the end of the automated call. When the automated caller terminates the call ' Don't ' hung up. Simple hang on you and you should be transferred to a "real" person

You can also contact Dell to verify that the product key is good.

You must also download the Microsoft MGADiag tool

Run the application and display the details about it. A person can look at to check what might be the problem.

  • Reactivation of Windows 8.1?

Hello. I have a problem. I bought an Inspiron 11 almost 8 months and today I received a message that my windows are expiring on 17 and I have to enter a new product key. Any ideas how to solve this problem?

    Thank you in advance!

    Hello

Dell uses versions of Windows OEM (manufacturers) and that they don't 'expire '.  Unless you re-installed Windows at some point and do not use the Dell disks for installation, I highly doubt that the message is legitimate, unless you don't activate Windows.

It might be that you never went through the activation sequence when you started this plan, maybe because you were not connected to the internet at this time?  Check out this video on how to resolve this error, if you never activated Windows.

Let me know if it helps.

  • The reactivation of windows 7 after Windows upgrade 10 & new hardward

I had to change my hardware recently (I replaced everything in my computer except my hard drives) and decided to go back to Windows 7 after upgrading to Windows 10 - but my key activation seems to fail every time.

Is there a way to fix this?

Unfortunately, what the OEM version is linked to the material has been activated the. It cannot be transferred.

  • Reactivation of Windows 7

My friend bought a legitimate Windows 7 Professional OEM System Builder Pack copy when he bought a new computer.  They installed and then discovered that they had made a mistake and he was 32-bit instead of 64-bit.  So he uninstalled the 32-bit system and he bought another windows 7 64 bit and installed it. He gave me the 32 bit disc and I tried to install it but it will not accept the activation code.  Windows tells me I don't have a legitimate windows system and gives me 30 days to save it.  Is it possible to unregister the 32-bit system that my friend gave me and then re to the registry with windows or what I have to buy a new activation code?

The problem is that your friend installed and active, the license would be linked to the first machine on which it is installed. Your friend should have just used the same license with the 64-bit disk and you gave the new license with the disc after that it had been used.

The OEM of Windows 7 versions are identical to the versions commercial full license with the following exception:

-OEM versions don't offer any free direct support from Microsoft technical support Microsoft

-OEM Licenses are tied to the computer first you install and activate it on

-OEM versions allow all hardware upgrades except for an upgrade to a different model motherboard

-OEM versions does not move directly from an older Windows operating system
