reading in avi files frames

During playback of AVI files, I get an error when you try to read the frame 870 or greater:

Error 1074395967 has occurred to IMAQ AVI2 read image

Possible reasons:

IMAQ Vision: (Hex 0xBFF604C1) AVI error reading framework

Is this a limitation of the system? I have the problem even if you use the AVI read example.

I tried to slow down the reading (2 FPS it wa), but he is always stopped at 870 framework.

I then replaced the AVI2 with AVI vi vi: everything works well now! Opening the file now going as fast.

I also tried the 64-bit version of LabView, but with the original AVI2 files, he too stopped at 870 fram!

Original title: Media player upgrade was worse than basic
I recently updated my Player multimedia media Player 11 and now it won't play movies from AVI file that I used to be able to play easily on the outdated version. Why is this?

    Hello

Do you have an error message when you try to play with Media Player AVI files?

the codec not created by Microsoft), Windows Media Player displays a message that your computer is missing a codec.

In some cases, the file you want to play uses a codec that is not available or compatible with Windows Media Player. When this happens, you may be unable to use Windows Media Player to play this particular .avi file.

  • read an AVI using "Binary file reading" vi

My question is to know how to read an avi file using vi «The binary read»

My goal is to create a series of small avi files using IMAQ AVI write framework with the mpeg-4 codec to long 2 seconds (up to 40 images in each file with 20 frames per second) and then send them one by one in order to create a video stream. The image has entered USB camera. If I read these frameworks using IMAQ AVI read framework then compression advantage would be lost if I want to read the entire file itself.

I've read the avi file using "Binary file reading" with 8 bit unsigned data format and then sent to the remote end and save it and then post it, but it did not work. Later, I found that if I read an image using "Binary file reading" file with 8 bit unsigned data format and save it to local computer itself, the format should be changed and it would be unrecognizable. I'm doing wrong by reading the file format of number integer 8 bit unsined or should I have used other types of data.

I'm using Labview 8.5 and Labview vision development module and module vision 8.5 acquisition

Your help would be very appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Hello

Discover the help (complete) message to "write in binary.

"Precede the size of array or string" entry by default true, so in your example the data written to the file will be added at the beginning information on the size of the table and your output file will be (four bytes) longer than your input file. Wire a constant False "to precede the array or string of size" to avoid this problem.

  • Cannot read AVI file using video app

    Hi team, support

I can't read the AVI file using video app (version 9.2.A.0.6) error message: "cannot play video".

Whereas, in the file AVI can play with VLC app (third-party application).

I bought Xperia Z1 because I thought that it can play AVI video files (see:http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/products/phones/xperia-z1/specifications/ ), please please do not ask me to use another third-party application.

Info: model: c6902, Lollipop: 5.0.2 Build number: 14.5.A.0.270

    Thank you.

As I've mentioned before, AVI is a container format when it comes to videos. The information you find in the paper is also also the decoder MPEG-4 format. I just tried an AVI file with MPEG-4 codec here, and it works very well. But if you try to play an AVI file with another codec such as: JPEG, RGB or Cinepak, they probably won't work because they aren't supported codecs.

You can always download a program on your computer that can check the information of your AVI file container. MediaInfo is an example of this program.

  • Cannot read data from avi file

    Hello

I wrote timestamp data and exposure to an AVI file, but I can't as the file data using the read avi function.  I enclose the code to play the video, but also an excerpt of 7 video framework.  If you open the video in a hex editor and search for 'Time', you can see that the data has been written to the file, but I just get the empty string when I try to read this return as in the attached VI.  I'm doing something wrong?

    I use LV 8.0.1 and IMAQ Vision 7.1.1 4.0.

    Thank you

    Greg

    Thank you for your help.

Finally, I got this problem.  I tried the IMAQ upgrade as you said, repair facilities IMAQ, LabView and removing and reinstalling all my software of NOR.  None of this has helped.

In that time, I had a lot of other problems with NOR-MAX, got totally fed upwards, formatted the hard drive and reinstalled windows, LabView and all the stuff of vision.  In the process, I discovered that I had bad RAM and replaced the one too.

Almost all problems are gone now, including this one.

  • COOD109B error reading of an AVI file

get a cood109B error when I play the avi file

It is a question of not having the right CODEC installed. CODECS are files that help the compression/decompression of various formats of audio and video files during playback.

If you want to download and install a package of codecs, I would recommend one of the K-Lite codec packages available here. The regular package should be enough, but you can opt for the full package.

Once you have downloaded the package on your computer, you can right-click on the installation. EXE andrun as administrator to avoid any problems with the installation

  • Reading CCTV software .avi files prob

When I try and play .avi files saved on my hard drive to my DVR card/software version 11.0.6002.18311 for Windows Media Player (or any other player besides), I can see and hear, but there is a very important, continuous, loud, popping noise all the time. What can I do to fix this? I have Vista Home Premium, nVidia GeForce 9500 GS graphics, Realtek sound card, (I think?), and the 8-Channel DVR card (which I only use 3) card PCI PC CCTV DVR H.264 100 fps.

Hello and thanks for this info, but I had already looked at and have no idea of what I need or what I already have, much less know what would be safe to download even if I could work on what I need - all that I know is that I have the latest version of Windows Media Player!

It's only the .avi files by the DVR card software that won't play properly - all other .avi files play fine. So today I contacted the software support team card and explains the problem and their response is that they are now aware that there is a problem with the playback of files in WMP and are trying to put that right. Apparently, they send me an update as soon as POSSIBLE. We'll see!

Thanks a lot for your answer anyway. I do not know others with a similar problem will find useful.

  • AVI files created from the same quality as the DVD engraved project?

If I have a project and go to 'Share', I can create an AVI file specified as (use for editing in Adobe Premiere Elements).  Is the quality of this the same file that the quality of a DVD created through 'Share' - disc - burn DVDs?  Or another way to put it--if I created an AVI file and then later burned to disk would it be quality that burn the original project to a disc?

    johnf

Thanks for the additional information on your situation.

Although there may be differences in quality, I doubt that you will see quality differences between the content of your timeline from the timeline compared to the burning of a collection of DV AVI to DVD-VIDEO format to DVD disc.

In fact, the case of the intermediary to DV AVI, is the classic way of working with a large project into smaller segments. But I am the mini series before the final project to confirm that this is the case of tests. From what you wrote, you have been there and done that. What is the quality of the videos that you have prepared in this way? If good, you are on the right track.

If you want a better resolution product, such as AVCHD to DVD disc or Blu - ray disc on Blu - ray disc format, you could burn at or considers that the intermediate file a file like AVCHD.mp4 (1920 x 1080 at 30 progressive frames per second). If you've traveled the way DVD AVCHD, you can produce with a regular DVD burner, but he needs a reader Blu - ray which takes supported AVCHD DVD or one of these media players that support the AVCHD DVD. The Blu - ray disc format on Blu - ray disc requires a drive and a Blu - ray burner.

According to the players and its specifications, some create the HD file and put it on a card memory or USB for use in other than the DVD player players.

Major projects that will be appreciated by all.

  • Horizontal lines in the saved preview AVI file

    Hi all

On another thread, I was wondering why I was getting an error message when you try to export and save a movie, but now I was able to get a temp AVI file after hitting enter and save a file preview, but this AVI file preview, which is normally the same quality of the full saved file I think, has horizontal lines in it that are very obvious compared to the original file... below are the screenshots yet sample to compare...

    File Clean original AVI 720 x 480 30 fps

    720x480avi_CLEAN.jpg

Display of the lines in this file first 720 x 480 30 fps AVI preview

    PremiereEXPORTED720x480avi_horizontalLINES.jpg

I have a file imported into the script and she will play opposite via setting the speed being set to-100 and it reads in the preview window properly, in reverse, when I click on the play button.

But when I do a "file > export timeline > film ' command I get an error message saying ' year error occurred while doing this film.» Error writing files (disk full)? " ... but my hard drive is nearly full, with more than 30 concerts left open on it... and my gadget to use RAM shows that more than half of my RAM capacity is not used.

But I got a temp Preview file generated after knocking entered to play the preview after I was not able to save and that ' s how I got this file... and I think that the temporary files are normally just as strong as the final saved files because they take so much time to generate during the preview by pressing on enter as they do when you export and save.

In addition, this process saved an AVI file of 8.5 gigabytes of file 1.5 MB AVI using the codec in CamStudio.

Another test using the MSU lossless codec produces a 3.5 GB AVI file which seemed better, but wouldn't you just play faster than about one frame per second after an hour and a half to save time.

Someone at - it solutions?... I see also that the new record of first shows a large screen size, but it was recorded at the same size of 720 x 480, as the original was.

    Thank you

    NuMetro

The hard drive uses a swap file, and the program creates files (such as the rendered file you use now instead of an export file) and in general, if you get the message that the disk is full, chances are that your disk becomes too full for the program continues.  You must check your hard drive with care and make sure you have enough space to work without this message.  There are discussions here on how to configure your hardware to the good editing (forum hardware).

The horizontal lines you see are "interlaced" lines... rather than being a "progressive"... file You can use mediainfo or gspot to see what your assets are exactly and then implement the project should match the one... and then export to match THAT... and you should be OK (once solve you the problem of hard disk)
