  I'm having a problem with playback of text file. I'm reading only each Nth line from a file to preview with this sub vi:

  

  I seems to work the first time I do it well. The loop takes almost no time to perform an iteration.

  Then when I load the same file with exactly the same parameters an iteration takes about 50ms.

  Subsequent attempts always seem to take longer execution time.

  Only when I restart the calling vi fast for a single file.

  When executing the sub vi alone it is still fast, but I don't see how the main vi (too complex to post here) could hinder the execution of the Sub vi.

  I have no one else to open the file in the main vi, I do not use too much memory...

  Just now I have not now where to look. Does anyone have an idea?

• Execution of several executables in time real (.rtexe)...

  For PXI (or any embedded controller OR) several executables in time real developed in LabVIEW (.rtexe files) can work simultaneously?

  I'm almost certain that the answer is 'No', because the whole point of a RTOS is the code to be "as deterministic as possible", with the Jig and schedule reduced by removing items (such as "interference of the BONE") out of control or understanding of the developer.

  Pouvez, however, write a single RT executable that loads into two routines that work "in parallel".  If you have a multi core processor, you could book separate processors for two routines that should improve their independence from each other.

  We met a slightly different variant of this issue during the migration of code LabVIEW 7 to a LabVIEW Project "oriented" development (introduced in LabVIEW 8.x).  We used to have several different programs of LabVIEW RT who has used a code different on the PXI - when we ran the host executable, it loaded and run the appropriate code of RT (recorded in a .llb).  This works well with executable RT.

  What we developed was a system where we have recorded each RT executable as a routine named separately ( not Startup.rtexe) and set them (initially) to run as a startup.  When the host code runs, it queries the PXI for the name of the startup routine, and if it is not 'just', change us it on the PXI and make the PXI to restart.

  [In fact, don't really do us this way, that 99% of the time, we always run the same executable RT.  What we did do was to write a separate "define RT Startup" routine that we almost never executed, unless we "know" we run an earlier version or something like that.  This, in turn, tells us that the PXI is configured to run and what executable RT can be defined as startup, then makes the changes, restarts the PXI and exit.  The 'rule' is that if you change the executable RT, don't forget to change the back when you're done.]

• Is there another SOLUTION FOR READING FILES .flv in addition to PLAYER in time REAL?

  Recently, I upgraded from Real Player cloud both Real Player on two desktop computers. A computer kept thousands of thumbnails of the video while the other did not. I confirm in this forum and has received several possible solutions, which did not work. Also, I confirm with Real Player and received several, almost identical solutions also failed to solve the mystery. Real Player always has a constant search for the answer. I have to pronounce on the HP computer with the missing thumbnails by doing a system recovery to factory specifications. Returned all the missing thumbnails and all is well except for one, and it's that I don't have reinstall Real Player/Real times. Windows Media Player plays the majority of the thousands of videos, but there are still hundreds that are unplayable without Real Player/Real times. My question is, ' is there a safe format to install other than Real Player/Real times to read .flv files without jeopardizing other files? Also, is there a reason why Microsoft Gets a built in-house audio/video download system rather than having to resort to a third party outside? Thank you.

• In time real CRIO - writing a file on a PC hard drive

  Hi all

  I am developing and application with the following hardware features:

  Time real cRIO 9004 target device

  HAVE cRIO 9205

  AO cRIO-9263

  and the following programming features:

  I run an FPGA VI to establish PID control where the reference signal generated in the FPGA and the real is an acquired signal through the cRIO 9205.  I also find target FPGA FIFOs host in order to pass the data from the FPGA to the application of the RT.  The time real VI will run in the 9004 cRIO processor.  Now, with the data from the FIFO I would write a file (regardless of the extension), in order to do more tests.  I did it but I don't want to use the local memory of the RT, instead, there will be a PC (hard drive) where I can place the file in order to write it (with data).  I'm not able to do so, as 1) I don't know how to call the PC hard drive and 2) I don't know what communication protocol fits better I want to develop a device to Windows Welcome.

  The cRIO-9004 unfortunately has USB, so you can not write on a USB Flash drive (which would be my first suggestion).  If you want to store the data on the host PC, you will need to write a simple TCP/IP client/server to send data to the host through TCP so that the host can receive and save to disk.  Façade of the VI may seem as it is running on the PC, but it's actually just show you data be listened to the target (you are not allowed to piggy-back on this same Creek).

  There are several examples of TCP/IP client/server integrated into LabVIEW.

  It is possible to load data from a file on a local PC to a VI runs on an RT target? I have a RIO OR the VI running on. From the front panel, I want to be able to click a button and have a dialog pop up where I can choose a local file to load data from. The problem is that when I try to use the spreadsheet VI load data it returns an error indicating that the dialogue has been canceled. If I use the express VI from file dialog, the VI will always return true to cancel. The dialog box never appears. It is not possible to open a local file to a VI runs on a real-time target?

  This function will not work in time real (RT).  Please see the bulletin 2S9D21OH knowledge base: creation of a dialog box file for use with LabVIEW Real-time for more information on this.  However, it only locates the files on the target of RT.  If you try to communicate with a file on your host computer, you can be forced to transfer this document to the target of RT, or implement a different architecture for this task.  I would also add that given the user to define the source of the file manually create non-determinisme within your system.  Again, it is perhaps another reason to implement a different architecture.

  Well, in the range of functions daughter, you will find a function to list the contents of the folder. This allows to get the names of all the files datalog, and then use a loop FOR to read.

  No one is obliged to provide 500 names of files manually - that's why we use a programming language to let the computer do the stupid work

  What is the destination folder that the date be underneath?  In the top right it says users who suggests, you try to put the photos on top of your username instead of under your username.  Maybe that's the problem.  So change your folder in the drop-down list at the bottom right of what it should be rather than users, and if you're going to show us the destination of your photos at least scroll through the list of folders down right so that we can see which is the white highlight.

  Yes it is possible.  Let's not your date mask.  You're masking for 12-hour format when your data is in 24-hour format.  Change the mask of your date to be "YYYY-mm-dd-hh24. MI.ss ".  Notice the change in "BOLD".

• Sandboxed apps cannot read / write files to the main user Id

  All of my sandbox applications give me errors like this and I checked that my permissions are correct and there is no ACL involved.  I'm really tired.  I can't save documents in any player, including the readers with the value 'IGNORE OWNER PERMISSIONS'. I was able to use a different connection of the user (the same group id) to create and save a document, but my main user (rfbrost) couldn't read.

  Follow-up: I made a boot SAFE and SECURE connection and was able tot save the iCloud, but no other player, including a USB doesn't stick with 'IGNORE the PERMISSIONS ON this VOLUME' of.  I firmly believe that, despite the error message, this is not a problem of file system permissions, it has something to do with the sand boxed apps and my primary UID.  I created a group called family and I made this my main group by using the utility of directory identifier.  I changed then owners on my hierarchy so that my files were all held by the new group ID.  I noticed that the message an error about a file created from a template generated the error:

  I noticed that the temporary file is created as the ID of Group staff.  Whence the system get this info?  My primary group ID is now family.  It should not important here because the file does not have still permissions RWX group, but it is strange to me.  What is a latent bug that the default group is always personal?

  Finally, I'm able to drag the file created and saved on the disk to my main iCloud file hierarchy and read it very well.  At other times, in a sandbox application, I am able to duplicate the file and save the duplicate but not the original file (called untitled) created from a template.
