• Cannot read RAW files

  I can't read the files CR2 Raw files in Photoshop CS3. I tried to download the relevent to the Adobe plug-in which is version 4.6. I think that I'm downloading but a box comes up saying WinRAR in not free and giving an option to buy now. I clicked close and still can not read my files in photoshop. What I have to buy WinRAR or I'm doing something else wrong? Help, please...

  You can open multiple DNG files at a time.  Drag more than one of them at a time in Photoshop, as an example of how do, and they will open in Camera Raw like this, with each image showing a thumbnail along the left edge.

  Raw files from Canon 5 d mark III would not be supported in Lightroom 3.

  You need at least version 4.1 of Lightroom to access there raw files.

  You can either upgrade the version of Lightroom to a newer version or you can install for free DBG Converter to convert raw to DNG files and access then in Lightroom.

• Adobe's DNG Converter can't read raw files

  I still use PS CS2, which is no longer supported.  I downloaded what's called the DNG Converter.  This is the latest version and covers my cameras raw formats.  However, I can't recognize a NEF file on my hard drive.  Is this something that escapes me on this subject?

  Laptop with windows XP and Pshop CS2, open the Canon 20 d first but refuses to open 70 gross d.

  What do I need open 70 d with CS2 and have access to the raw etc settings?

  The 70 d has been initially supported by Adobe Camera Raw 8.2 (a plugin used by Photoshop to read Raw files) which is compatible with both CS6 and Cloud. CS2 will never be able to open the 70 D Raw files.

  You can install CS6 on your laptop condition XP running SP3.

  Download applications download Adobe Creative Suite 6

  Install and enter your serial number. CS6 ships with Camera Raw 7.0 so you may need to update Camera Raw to 9.1.1 (last version compatible with CS6).

• Get an error window, the source folder does not contain any supported camera raw files

  Use the DNG successfully for some time now thanks to the Adobe forums after that I got my new 7 d. Always with the help of CS2 and is finally managed to convert the 7 d to the DNG format.

  Are you sure you are using the latest (version 5.6) Adobe DNG Converter?

  As far as I know, the DNG Converter supports 7 d mRAW and sRAW files to DNG conversion. If you are sure you use 5.6 and your raw files do not work, can you post them somewhere so that I can download and St them?

  Another thing, you can try it for some raw files copy manually the CF card into a folder on your desktop, and then ask the DNG Converter to convert these local copies to the DNG format. If conversion mRAWs on your office's work, but their conversion on your card does not work, then it is possible that you have selected just the right folder on your card in the DNG Converter, or there may be another problem, just read the files on your card.

  Well, there is no documentation on the format, but it seems U8, so endian is not relevant. It looks like a flat binary file without header or size information. Here is a simple code that seems to reproduce your result. (LabVIEW 8.2)

  Only if first convert you the files for adobe dng files by using the adobe dng converter 9.7 to convert files cr2 in best dng, including photoshop cs6 can open.

  Photoshop cs6 can not be updated the required 9.7 camera raw plugin, that is why we need to use the dng converter.

• 6.6 Lightroom cannot read Raw (Nef) files.

  Up to a few days, I was using portable window. I got a new Macbook Pro 13 "."

  I installed LR6 on my new Mac and the catalogue LR transfer above the window for mac laptop. My photos are in the external hard drive. Open the LR catalog and work on my already imported and convert to DNG very well. But when I try to import new photos, I shot today with Nikon D800, LR message saying it cannot convert the raw file because it cannot have their loan.

  I also download and install the latest DNG Converter and try to convert them with it and it won't be.

  Any help would be appreciated.

  Make sure the folder that you copy into a read & write permissions. In the LR import dialog box, the Destination Panel on the right should be open with the file highlighted. The full file path must appear at the top of the right panel.
