  Open Windows Explorer or on the control panel.
  Go to tools | Folder options | Types of files.
  Scroll to [NONE] URL: HyperText Transfer Protocol (NOT the shortcut URL: Internet) and select it.
  Click Edit or advanced, depending on your version of Windows.
  Choose 'open '.
  Click on change.
   
  "Application used to perform action" should read:

  I had this problem and the cause in my case, it was that I changed all my clips in the project are mono audio channels. When I tried to swap the originals with proxies, I did, I had a similar message for the clips that have been affected by the designation of channels. I opened the project and selected all my media items in the project window and changed all the audio back to 'use the file' and that did the trick for me.

  OK, it's not logical:

  -From RH9, create a new empty project

  -Create two files word 'Topic1.docx' and 'Topic2.docx '.

  -Put 'Link' here in each document

  -Save documents

  -Project Manager, project files, connect the two documents, generate, update, etc.

  -Now create hyperlinks in each topic, pointing to the other topic using default theme editor on RH9

  -Save all and generate WebHelp project and test the links are here and work.

  -Now open and edit word documents in word. Add text to each and save

  -In the RH9 project manager, updated all the files in the project and open the items in the editor by default RH9

In fact, I understand that this is how it works, but the BIG problem is that links to bookmarks, other topics, links to external resources that are created in the default editor of RH9 cannot be kept when the associated/related document is edited in Word. AND you cannot create ONE of these links in Word documents. So you have a help system that has really nice updated features when an author makes a change to a document, but NO LINKS. Update a linked document REMOVES ANY changes made in the default editor of RH9.

  What's a sense? My brain fell? Y at - it another workflow option?

  I understand what you say, but it's like that. Liaison is intended to display the contents of a Word document in Word. It is not expected that you do as you describe exactly for the reason you state of transformation, it crashed with each update.

  The idea is that someone central updates the document and you just sync to the new version. The text that you use to create the link might not be in the document updated, what is RoboHelp supposed to do then?

  I've just updated to Firefox 42 and now I can't open any links embedded in emails - by clicking on it (as in Firefox 40) or by synchronizing right and selecting open in new tab (new tabs open properly if I do a search on Google and click on a result.) It's the links embedded in an email message that will not work. My email is @live.com (Hotmail).

• windows 8.1 help cannot "send link by e-mail" on explore

  I had a Windows 7 and could "send link or page" email when on a Web page. It won't highlight on the 8.1 windows computer I have now. I used to use windows live mail but now switched to Thunderbird. I use internet explore browser. I don't know that it's just a setting that I can't find.

  I think you'd better ask Microsoft how people get their browsers to send a page. I just did with Internet explorer on Windows 7 without problem, even though I had a UAC prompt.

  In Thunderbird 31 I can't insert a link when I highlight a Word using the two small box thingy and using the option to link to insert under "insert". All I get is 'No named anchors or positions in this page.' I use Windows 7 64. Is there a reason, this work stopped with the last update v31 and still it does not work under the new update v31.1.1?   I've always been able to send a page link - but suddenly it has stopped working. A box just by asking to name me an application - but I use Yahoo Mail and always have. I tried to put through Options/Applications, but there is no application of ' mail to ' visible. I did not bring any changes to Firefox or Windows in the last days: total of mystery.

  I don't know if Firefox in private browsing mode running would have effect on this issue.

  Note that your list of details of the system shows that you have a user.js file in the profile folder to initialize prefs each time you start Firefox.

  The user.js file is present than if you or another software has created this file and normally it wouldn't be here.
  You can check its contents with a text editor (right click: open with) If you do not create this file yourself.

  The user.js file is read whenever Firefox is started and initializes the preferences to the specified value in this file, so the preferences set via user.js can be changed temporarily for the current session.

  You can delete a possible user.js file and numbered prefs-# .js files and rename (or delete) the file prefs.js to reset all the prefs by default, including the prefs set via user.js and pref which is no longer supported in the current version of Firefox.
