  Yes you can. Here's the part you have to do with. Just remove the optical drive, add a hard disk in one of these adapters and replace it for the optical drive:

  You may also need to swap the façade of the old optical disc to make the installation of good look.

  I wouldn't use this for one SSD. An SSD belonged to the main disk space to enjoy the speed. The drive into the optical drive adapter will not be bootable and it will be not given quite as fast as the main hard drive transfer speeds. So if you have a drive in this card, a big (1 TB) and slow (5400 RPM) drive would be preferable. It will be purely for storage and it is still fast enough to see the video of for example but if you are doing video editing I would try not to edit videos from the optical drive Bay. Move them to the fastest reader first.

  I add a DVD ROM to my existing hp (p6750z) desktop computer.  I did similar to other computers upgrades in the past and I looked at the 6750z service and upgrade manual.  I have one question - is is not clear to me how to remove the drive Bay cover in unused drive Bay.  The lid has two locations that look like they might be intended for the insertion of a screwdriver.  I have just to insert a screw drive and apply pressure until the cover POPs out?

• TS140 optical drive drivers not available for download?

  Try to install Windows 7 on TS140. Support/drivers page offers the sunix as a driver for the storage Extender. Have expanded on a portable player. Win 7 install almost immediately calls for drivers for the optical drive, but when I browse to the INF folder, it does not have the appropriate drivers.   Finally, I whipped this problem using a laptop optical drive (usb) for installation. Once the installation has been made, I brought the network via USB key drivers. Once the network was functional, the rest of the drivers became available via Windows update. It took about 24 hours, given that Microsoft takes control of updates.

  Your plan is perfect. The SSD to will of 7 mm that always come back fine it just will be lower in the caddy. The holes and SATA connections are in the same place as a hard drive of 9.5 mm. You can use a spacer (many SSD include one in the box) but not really necessary.

  Installing SSD for Windows 10 the way you expect is not really "own", that he will again introduce files and programs, in my opinion and certainly drivers. Whatever it is, it works perfectly and activates the old installation has been enabled.

  The hard disk in the optical adapter will not be bootable and will transfer the data a bit slower than a drive in the main compartment, but will still be usable for most cases. If you need fast input/output like Photoshop or video editing move the job file to the first SSD. Alternatively, you may wish to consider documents and photos and other migration on the HARD drive to keep the 128 GB SSD to fill. You can right-click on these files and select 'place' and move them.   Not obvious HP documentation exactly which carrier is needed to set up a standard 3.5 "SATA hard drive in one of the positions below the optical drive.

  HP parts list shows HP #619242-001 as carrier to achieve, but this part, judging by the photos, just doesn't seem right: large heat sink, a kind of connector built, etc. Also, of course, over $ 40 with shipping. Just to mount a drive?

  Only HP number piece you posted actually represents a HP original Western Digital IcePack, which allows the conversion of an SSD 2.5 "or the hard disk in a 3.5 form factor" which exactly reproduces the form of a standard disk 3.5 "(including the change of accessories features/SATA power correctly to the left, and either in the middle of a Bay that may be important in some workstations).  Here's a picture of:

  

  If you have a spare 5.25 "Bay that you can remove the 'empty' in your workstation of Z, then here's the information you want about the device that accepts a standard 3.5" disk (or the IcePack 2.5"Drive Converter above).  This is the HP NQ099AA sled, which replaces the empty 5.25 ", and you can see from the image below that there's a front slit black plastic to allow the entry of ventilation.  It has a metal back slot to accept what seems to be the Green 3.5 "HP drive original holder that was used in the era workstations xw (slide in rear), and who will be included.  These types of 5.25 "era sleds Z generally works very well in the era post xw optical drive bays, also.  HP is one that accepts two drives 2.5 "in a sleigh (picture not included).  I bought some guys from Alan on eBay several times... good company.  Search on eBay for this code part option see more photos.

  I have a Presario SR5262NX with an empty optical drive Bay, and a floppy drive Bay empty.  I also have a media player Pocket 160MO I use for backups.  I would get a Pocket Media support/adapter for the bay floppy drive so that I can put my Pocket Media drive in it and leave, rather than have it cluttering up my desk.  But I wasn't able to locate such a thing in the HP store or anywhere online.  I think that HP could sell such a thing, but maybe not.  I'm looking for something that does not exist, or just look in the wrong places?

There is no WSSD slot so you can have a single hard drive, unless you are willing to give up the optical drive, in which case you can use an optical drive for hard drive adapter. If you want to use a SSD put in the slot 2.5 internal and a hard drive in the Bay optical adapter.
