ReadyNAS Replicate

After the migration of my account ReadyCloud account MyNETGEAR.com that I can not log on the Readynas replicate page. My ReadyCloud works ok after the migration, but when I try to log in my reply nothing happens. Why? I do wrog? The backups work although I get e-mails confirming that.

Concerning

Hi 55north, MugiMuc, ReneC,.

You need to use your old account (the one you use to connect before) that is not the ReadyCLOUD migrated / my NETGEAR account.

Kind regards

  • ReadyNAS 314 ReadyNAS Replicate records do not

    Hello

I'm trying to record from the ReadyNAS admin console the Cloud ReadyNAS Replicate function. Registration does not work.

I turn on the ReadyNAS Replicate function and introduced a popup to enter my username and password. I enter the username and password which gives me access to the ReadyNAS Replicate web site, but I am present an error indicating "username or password is invalid.

The ReadyNAS was recorded before the upgrade to version 6.5 and 6.5.1. Before the update, I was able to see and access the ReadyNAS device from the ReadyNAS Replicate Web site.

    Peripheral ReadyNAS is version: 6.5.1

My assumption is that the problem is not with the credentials, as the credentials work to connect to the ReadyNAS Replicate site.

    Any ideas on the problem?

I have an another ReadyNAS just factory reset with a new drive and it is also not able to register for ReadyNAS Replicate. ReadyNAS RN102, Version 6.5.1

The problem was solved by deleting my existng account and create a new ReadyNAS Remote account.

Something must have gotten messed up with the existing account in the back-end system.

Thank you for the help on the private channel.

  • ReadyNas remote control device

    Hello

I don't see any device on readynas remote (on readCloud Agent (PC)).

    My connection is correct.

If I use Readycloud on the web I see my 2 NAS (after click on Find button)

On the Readynas Replicate web site, I see my 2 NAS

    ReadyNas 212 V 6.6.0.

6300 port is not enabled on NAS

    Thank you

    I contacted support.

READYNAS REMOTE is no longer compatible with OS 6.6.0. (or 6.5?)
    I use the READYCLOUD client

    Good bye

  • Record of 312 ReadyNas Backup Job does not connect

    Hi all

We have a readyNAS we are trying to save on Dropbox.com. However, when I try to save more then a part of the second I try to backup will not backup. I have to disconnect and reconnect the ReadyNAS on dropbox and then I can start the second part of backup, but then the first part will no longer connect and save. Is there a limit as to who can I save both number of shares? Is there something missing that I have to do to save multiple shares on dropbox? I really need to understand that because we use it as a backup and if it doesn't we have to find something different.

    Thank you

    Dan

The Dropbox feature is for a single action of backup to Dropbox.

You can consider other options such as obtaining a second backup using ReadyNAS Replicate ReadyNAS.

  • Use of 'root' for the system volume is 100% and/dev/md0 is full

    Hello

I recently started to receive notifications that the use of 'root' volume of my system is 100%

I went through all the files and it seems that the culprit is/dev/md0

I don't have any add-ons installed, and this NAS solution is specifically used as a backup to another NAS. It uses ReadyNAS Replicate for backups.

Here is the output of df - h and df - i

    I tried commands like this:

    du - csh/var
    du - csh/var / *.

And the problem doesn't seem to be in these directories. Very low use it.

This error started appearing on the day that I got a copy no error of ReadyNAS Replicate that gave me an Exit Code: 11 (error e/s files)

Can someone help me solve this problem?

The reason why you could not find, was that at some point, your encrypted volume was not mounted (perhaps the USB is not was connected when you start the NAS server) and a repeated backup job is filled with the partition of the OS on the NAS.

When you have looked at the system, the data volume has been mounted. There was data under/data on the partition of the OS, but could not say that.

I passed on a summary of what has happened to our engineers and am waiting for their suggestion. However as it is a long weekend in the United States I don't expect an answer at least a few days.

  • Replication with Ultra4 compatibility?

I have a ReadyNas Ultra4 (strandard not pro or something special). Looking to buy an another ReadyNas to save the exisiting Ultra4. RN31441E-100EUS looks like a nice, but both would be compatible to run replication?

    Hello gazzaroo,

ReadyNAS Ultra 4 is an OS4 which does not come with free ReadyNAS Replicate. Please see http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/20841/~/readynas-replicate-faq for ReadyNAS Replicate info and license needed.

Here is a user manual that you may want to check before you buy: http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/READYNAS-COMMON/ReadyNAS%20Replicate%20UM_10Jul2013.pdf

    I hope this helps.

    Kind regards

  • Failover?

We have two of the ReadyNAS 516 on the same local network. We replace a Windows 2008 Server.

We want to have the primary NAS for storage and the 2nd as a backup (really as a failover - and we know it will be manual).

How can quickly raise us the 2nd unit as principal in the case of a total absence of the primary?

We have Setup with ReadyNAS Replicate, but it sounds like a backup and the restore process takes some time.

We have created this using RSYNC for each action to be run automatically every hour. If the head nurse fails and is no longer on the network, we substitute the same name as the primary name and restart.

User accounts and passwords do not have to be restored.

Once the secondary NAS runs with the name of the principal, the users can connect by using the same mappings. If the password is different, they will have to connect again.

We should not change the IP address. Just be care when if you mention the original SIN that the two devices is not the same name.

  • Replicate Readynas does not - code output: 12 (error in the protocol stream)

Hello, I hope someone can help,

Having a problem with a 212 and repeated.

    I get the below error

    Files size: 312,82 GB

Total of files transferred from size: 0 B

    Average speed: 0 B/s

Exit code: 12 (error in the protocol stream)

It worked until 6.5.2 update and I have restarted both readynas since then and still today.

    Anyone know what is happening?

Thank you for your answer, you're the only guy who answers on here haha!

We have 8 different jobs repeated or main nas and 6 of them work and 2 did not, after changing the routes over which the readynas uses to go to the internet, they are all seem to be working now, very strange as the other 6 worked a treat.

You can mark it as fixed, will update all the nas with the last update this week.

  • Replicate defective since the firmware 6.4.0 (RN102)

    Hello

Since the update of the firmware 6.4.0, replicate defective Internet with exit code 10 (RN102). According to the records of the newspaper the detected connection before the update was relayed (method 5), subsequently LAN (2 Queens). The target NAS is not still on firmware 6.4.0. Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Thank you

    Kim

Since the the second ReadyNAS upgrade to firmware 6.4.0, the backup replication works again.

  • After update to Sierra, Mac does not connect to the ReadyNAS device

I have two Macs at home - an iMac and a MacBook Pro.  I also have a ReadyNAS device, which acts as a time for both Machine.

I've updated the iMac to macOS Sierra.  The upgrade went smoothly, no error reported.  However, once it was up, I found that the iMac has questions is authenticating with the ReadyNAS via AFP (and / or he would authenticate, then delete the connection) and also not able to connect to the service of Time Machine on the ReadyNAS device.

To be sure it wasn't the ReadyNAS, I went to my MBP - it still works under OS X 10.11 and shows all the problems.  AFP shares are accessible without problem, and Time Machine works as expected.

Has nothing changed with Time Machine or AFP protocols under macOS Sierra, which could cause this?

The ReadyNAS is a ReadyNAS Pro 4, running 4.2.28. firmware, if it is useful.

Thank you very much for your help!

AFP is not used by Sierra. Try using SMB instead, if your NAS supports. Or contact the technical support of the manufacturer for assistance.

  • Can I replicate folders of e-mail between devices

I have several devices and use the e-mail and use gmail with an IMAP account.  I don't use gmail webmail.

On my MBA, I created several folders so I can store emails specific to particular topics.  However, once I moved an email in the Inbox MBA in a folder, if I try to find the email on another device (iMac or iPad), it isn't here.  If I get on the second device, it shows no more.

Is there anyway that I can replicate these folders of email on all my devices so that if I move an email in my Inbox to a folder, then it appears in this folder on all devices?

    Thank you

It looks like you created the local mailbox that does not synchronize with devices. Try to create the mailboxes under the account rather than on my Mac. They will be IMAP mailboxes and must synchronize between devices.

When you create a new mailbox, select as shown below:

  • ReadyDATA of ReadyNAS data import

We are trying to deploy a ReadyDATA 5200 and refocus our ReadyNAS 4200. Is there a quick way to transfer data or actions of a ReadyNAS to the ReadyDATA. I looked at the link of imports by volume, but this seems to be only for import data from the seed.

Yes, the import function is just to import seeds for ReadyDATA jobs repeated data.

I recommend you create the necessary actions on the ReadyDATA. Enable SMB or NFS on the shares.

Then create on the ReadyNAS backup jobs using the ReadyNAS built-in Backup Manager. Create a job for each action and push data across the ReadyDATA by using SMB or NFS.
