Really stupid... I want to 'run' or 'save' the download for ie 10?

I'm trying to update internet explore and I can't remember if I want to 'run' or 'save' the file. In fact this question still confuses me. What is the difference?

I use Windows 7.

Run means it will install now.

Record means that the file will be saved on your hard drive and you can run (install it) later.

  • All .exe files go to the Download Manager and ask if you want to run or save

Suddenly my pc win 7 cannot run .exe files.  When it starts, I get several windows asking me if I want to run or save each of the boot files.  When I click on an icon for an application, I get the same thing.  If I click on for example a Word document file, Word opens very well, but I can't not all .exe files to run directly.  Even if I go to the Task Manager and click on "new task" and try and invoke Notepad - for example "do you want to run or save.  Even if I go to the control panel and ask search and solve problems - "do you want to run or save rundll32.exe"... Ditto for chkdsk and even for antivirus scanners or malicious software.  All the solutions I can find here seem to imply somehow running a .exe program to diagnose / fix and that's exactly what I can't do.  If you click on "run" in the download dialog there is an attempt to open a window, and then you're right to "do you want to run or save" the same .exe program.  Programs that save files still work all their saved files, it seems a simpler problem rather than a massive corruption.  Yet Labour Office associations, such as the 'open with' for example image files.  Any ideas before you give up and reinstall Windows?  Thank you very much!

    1. keep tapping F8 during the first phase of startup.
    2. select Repair from the menu.

    4. When you are prompted, select System Restore.

  • What this means if I want to 'Run or save' a file that I am trying to download?

What this means if I want to 'Run or save' a file that I am trying to download?

Refers to run the file (it's probably an exe file or similar, which runs a program).  Record means to save the file, and you can click it to run it later.  It is always better to first save the file (in a place, you can find easily) and then he search for potential viruses first before running.  Make sure you know what you click on and download, because things will immediately infect your computer - often to the point of making it unusable.

  • When downloading using firefox I should save the download, and then must go to the download file to start the download. When I download using internet explore I can run a download at the time where as it is downloaded. Can I change a setting somewhere?

I use Windows 7 with firefox as my default browser. When I download a program using firefox, I wonder if I want to save the file, and then must go to the download folder to start the download. When I download using internet explorer, I gives me the ability to run the download at the time where it is downloaded instead of save the download. Is there a setting I can change to allow me to run downloads when using firefox instead of record?

You can use the OpenDownload2 extension for the run option when downloading files with Firefox

You shouldn't really need to create a temporary directory - especially for the Brother printer drivers.  You can download it at any place that you can easily find (like the office).  Then double-click it to run it (run) on it and let it install.

Which I suppose you want to English (as shown), and then you click OK.

He then expand some additional files and then ask you to accept a license agreement (I suggest "Yes" If you want to go further):

In your case... choose 'Standard' and click Next and continue in this way until it is installed.  Then (once Setup is complete and closed) you can restart the computer (first and foremost) and then delete the original file you downloaded (MFC-240 c-inst-win7 - A2.EXE) on your desktop (or downloads, etc.)

    You should get through it.

  • Can I use javascript (in a button) to run 'save the attachment' for an attached file?

    (Acrobat DC, Windows 7 system)

I have a PDF form that includes several attachments. Some of these attachments * may * must be recorded in the local file system of the user.

What I would do, is add a button that includes javascript that will run the option 'Save the attachment' directly, rather than requiring the user to open the attachments Panel, select the file and select Save attachment.

Thus, the user process would be:

    1. Click FooButton.
Extract the file opens the window for the file FooAttachment.blah.
    2. The user accesses the desired backup folder and saves the file.

Is it possible to do this with acrobat javascript? (I'd be happy with a specific example or a pointer to an explanation of how to access the different features similar :-)

    Pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, you are using the correct method to save the attached file, so the question is how you join it in the first place?

  • Save the first for the 10.6.8 update at latest

I want to save my BONES and music on a disc usb external hard.

I asked a similar question, a month or two ago, but a few things have changed.

Here are the details of what I want to accomplish and need advice please.

    1. I have a drive external hard usb. I want to save the music (iTunes) and OS (10.6.8) on the external hard drive.

I want to only backup in case the update to el capitan does not run smoothly. I try to install on the last required minimum iMac... then it of risky, but just meets the requirements of apples. Mid 2007 iMac with 4 GHz ram.

2 will be time machine backup 10.6.8 and iTunes via the time machine? I don't want to buy software of cloning at this point if time machine will support OS upnmy and music from iTunes.

    3. should I erase the iMac after support before trying to upgrade to el capIran and upward? Or keep the OS being and try to upgrade 10.6.8 to el capitan. ?

    4. can someone send me the exact link of the Apple at el capitan. The exact version that I need when updating 10.6.8 at el capitan

Time machine backs up everything including your iTunes library. So just do turn time machine, then upgraded it to el capitan. You can do this via the app store just click and install.

  • How to save the password for a new ISP on my printer 5514?

I recently changed my ISP and need to make a change to my printer HP Photosmart 5514.

When I originally installed the printer on my laptop Windows 7, I've provided the network and password for the existing ISPS and they were saved during the installation process because I did not re - enter the password every time I turned on the printer to use.

With the change to a new ISP, I used the wizard wireless on the printer to select the new wireless network and enter the password.  The printer worked fine, except that the network and the password was not justified.  Whenever I turn the printer off and then turn it back on to for reuse, I re - select the network and enter the password again.

Y at - it of some sort that I can save the function/password without reinstalling the printer?

Looks like the printer is still trying to keep the old network information.

    Try a Hard Reset:
    * Unplug the printer while the power is on
Disconnect the other end of the power cord from the wall jack directly
    * Wait 30 seconds
    * Plug the unit back to

Network information is reset by default:
    * Press on key/Setup menu in the top right of the touch screen of the printer
    * Select the wireless option
    * Scroll to default network

After you restore the default settings, then try to run the Wireless Setup Wizard. Let me know if the unit still does not retain the information.

  • Where can I save the startup for InDesign CC 2014 model?

I want to customize the blank startup page when I create a new document in InDesign CC 2014. I create the page the way I would like it to start again, but then got lost about where to save this model. I looked under request, presets, but nothing there seems to be a place where would be a model. Can you help me with this?

    TIA,

    Ken

I perhaps misunderstood what you mean.

If you need to have a particular configuration, including the page size, margins, the column guides, in the face of power pages, you can configure a document preset.

You can configure in the new Document dialog box the way you like, then click on the save the preset icon (it looks like a hard drive, next to the menu Document preset), name the preset and save it.

To use a document preset, press Command-N and select the preset, or choose file > Document presets > [preset name] to open the predefined document.
