Just as you can do on each laptop Toshiba. Delivered using recovery DVD from your laptop will have factory settings again. Put the recovery in ODD DVD, start Notepad. All you need to do is press and hold button C after turning on the laptop.
This will force it's STRANGE to be the first boot device.
Try it!

Problem appeared as start-up blocking, no error message, stops on the Logo Windows appears this active disk then all hard disk activity stops. Pass recovery of various keys F, no difference, no error message. Disk and memory diagnostic all race clean, no errors. Repluged CD/DVD drive several times.
Second symptom. No system of F11 recovery, same symptom, stops after saying system with bar showing the progress of the complete charge of loading. The mouse works but crashes right there with no hard disk activity.
Third Symtom. With the new Windows 7 recovery HP DVD, (just received) following their instructions in the HP support page, no difference, no error message. Loads a few minutes and activity HDD light goes off and this beautiful laptop he just sets with no activity other than the power of light and a white light blue screen with a swirl design in the upper right corner.
I reorganized new recovery discs HP Windows 7 (two) in the hope that it is a defective recovery disc that is the problem. But without display of error messages and diagnostics memory and hard drive running OK I have my doubts if the new DVD will be different.
In other words, I have exausted my knowledge and seeks suggestions and such to help me here. I should have stuck with IBM computers, but they sold to the Chinese for their PC stuff and I am doomed if I will give them my money.

Hello
This problem can sometimes be resolved by wiping the hard drive first, and then reinstalling the operating system.
Download and install Killdisk on the link below.
http://Software.LSoft.net/KillDiskSuiteFree-Setup.exe
Download and install ImgBurn on the link below.
http://download.CNET.com/ImgBurn/3000-2646_4-10847481.html
Access the application of disc kill you have installed in all programs, open the main folder, then select Bootable Disk creators, then the BACK Bootable CD Creator that will burn the ISO on a blank CD bootable.
During the following process do not worry about all warnings as your recovery DVDs will reformat the HARD drive.
Insert this CD into your PC which is unable to load the operating system properly. Shut down the PC, and then start again to boot from the CD of Killdisk and follow the instructions on the screen to kill disk.
A brief description of the process here is Killdisk.
Use it to wipe the entire hard drive (f10) - ( make sure to include all partitions and then start the process - this may take a few hours!).
When the process is complete, remove the CD of Killdisk, insert the bootable CD from HP that you created earlier, and restart the computer to boot from it. When you see the green check mark, remove the CD and insert your first HP recovery disk. Then restart your PC to try the installation again.
I hope this helps.
Best wishes

Hello
Maybe you have an old version of your Windows XP operating system in the Microsoft Windows CD.
I guess you are not able to install the OS, because some updates and SP are missing on the CD.
You should try to include service packs of MS, and then install the operating system.PS: I put t understand why you n t use the recovery CD. The installation is very simple and al Tosh drivers are pre-installed. OK, it s a Home version but there aren't huge differences of Pro

Satellite Pro 6100 how to use recovery DVD-ROM with vmware products
Hello
I like to use the recovery DVDs of product (T201651-GR) of my Satelite Pro 6100 on VmWare player, because I use openSUSE Linux as main operating system (not Windows installed on the hard disk).
I do like install and save hard disk laptop, so that to restore later inside the vmware. If it works?
I wonder if someone can tell me how to use my legal version of Windows XP on VmWare player?Thank you in advance,
BerndHello
I doubt that it works with VmWare.
Why?
Because the restore CD contains the ghost image files and you will need to boot from the recovery CD for installation. So I see the chances of getting this job running VmWare.

Equium P300-16 t: I lose the option of using Recovery DVD HARD drive recovery?
Hi sorry to post again but I need some help please.
I posted on September 11, as well, but could someone please tell me if I lose the ability to restore my computer laptop back to factory default, when you press F8, if I do the recovery with the Toshiba Software DVD.
As I said before I can get into safe mode but you cannot start my Vista.
I can't use recovery discs as my laptop came with any disks at all?
So the only option seems to be is it restore to the factory default.
I am writing again, as I need some help please...
Abbi
Hi abbi
I can help you
You know that your recovery disk would fix the laptop back to factory settings.
This means that the whole HARD disk should be formatted and everything should be reinstalled.
The recovery disk also creates the HARD drive recovery partition that allows to recover the laptop from the HARD drive. You said you didn t get the recovery disks?
Well buddy, I think you didn't read the manual you would find an info that the recovery disk must be created using the Toshiba Recovery Disk Creator software that is preinstalled on your laptop. -

Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance
Hello buddy
It is badly located now. Please try to do it once more.
If the same thing happen there is nothing you can do. I'm not an expert for this kind of thing, but I noticed the image recovery recovery DVD will be copied to the HARD second partition disk) first and then the installation of recovery will go from there. If the adaptation procedure is not done on the recovery of end procedure cannot be started.
Sorry buddy. In my opinion, you can try to contact the nearest authorized maintainer and explain the situation. Take the DVD created as evidence and maybe they will order new media for free.Good luck!

HP envy 17 can not boot windows or using recovery DVDs after the replacement of the motherboard
Hi all, I need your help
first of all sorry for my English but I'm from Greece. I really don't know a lot about the mobile only very basic computer.
I have a hp envy 17 3d 2080en with windows 7 Home premium which, after overheating, chips to the motherboard. I ordered and installed a used motherboard from China (part 630793-001 hp number).
After that I tried to start the laptop, but when he opens he said probably due to the change of the material he cannot start windows normally. After reading a lot on the internet, that I tried using the recovery DVDs I had prepared before the problem, but they will not start just yet. Then, I tried to use the cd system repair but again no luck.
I looked in the bios as some people say on the internet and realized that the product number and serial number are different from those of my laptop and it's maybe part of the problem, but I don't know. I looked in other posts about similar problems, but did not get a definitive answer and this is why I post for your help.
Thanks to you all
Nikos
IF YOU HAVE AN HP LAPTOP (MINE IS HP ENVY 3D 2080EN) THAT YOU HAVE CHANGED THE MOTHERBOARD WITH ANOTER ONE (MINE WAS FRIED OVERHEATING) AND AFTER REPLACING YOUR LAPTOP DOES NOT START AND YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH SYSTEM REPAIR DISC OR DOES NOT PERFORM A CLEAN WINDOWS INSTALL OR DON'T LISTEN NOT A RECOVERY CD/DVD RECOVERY THEN EXPERTS HP WHO KNOW NOTHING. LOOK IN YOUR BIOS, AND IF YOU SEE THE PRODUCT NUMBER OR SERIAL NUMBER DIFFERENT THAN THOSE APPEARING ON YOUR COMPUTER (USUALLY IN THE BATTERY COMPARTMENT) THEN GO TO A HP SERVICE ALLOWED AND TELL THEM TO HAVE YOYR TATTOOED BIOS. WITH THE TATOO (COST US $ 40), THEY WILL REPLACE THE NUMBER OF BAD PRODUCT AND/OR THE SERIAL NUMBER WITH YOUR MOBILE PHONE NUMBERS AND YOUR PROBLEM IS SOLVED. MY MOTHERBOARD HAS BEEN FRIED TO OVERHEAT AND I BOUGHT A USED ONE FROM CHINA. AFTER I REPLACED IT THE LAPTOP WOULDN'T START AND WOULD NOT ALLOW ME TO REPAIR DVD HE OR EVEN THE USE OF RECOVERY. I CALLED HP SUPPORT, I EVEN JOINED THE HP FORUM TO ASK FOR HELP AND I GOT ONE EXPERT WAS USUALLY TRY THIS OR TRY THIS. DON'T LISTEN TO THEM. FINALLY, I READ AN ARTICLE FROM THE INTERNET THAT EXPLAINED THAT WHEN YOU CHANG THE MOTHERBOARD / SYSTEM BY ANOTHER THEN THE BIOS REFERS TO THE NEW PRODUCT NUMBER, MOTHERBOARDS AND/OR THE SERIAL NUMBER AND THIS WAY THERE IS INCOMPATIBILITY WHICH DOES NOT ALLOW WINDOWS TO START, YOU CAN NOT REPAIR WITH SYSTEM REPAIR DISC OR IT DOES NOT PERFORM A CLEAN WINDOWS INSTALLATION OR A RECOVERY CD/DVD RECOVERY. ONCE YOU TATOO THE BIOS THATS IT. THE LAPTOP WORKS. I HOPE THAT THIS MESSAGE WILL HELP SOME PEOPLE WAISTING THERE TIME AND SPEND THE MONEY FOR NOTHING

A9P58UA #ABA: cannot use recovery DVD in the DVD player laptop external Envy 15-3033 CL
I had to replace the hard drive of the laptop. A directed recovery DVD from HP. The internal DVD did not work, so I'm an external LG DVD player, model GP50NB40. I put the boot order in the BIOS to USB CD/DVD. However, the laptop does not recognize the DVD in the drive. I get a message this is something to the extent of the 'no disk bootable found '. I also hit F9 and selected the external drive to boot from without success. And for some reason, I also hit F11. Same message.
I tested the DVD drive on another computer and it works fine. I changed the USB cable on the laptop to another port. No change. Does anyone have an idea how to proceed to load the software on the new drive? Thank you in advace for your time.
Hello:
I see that your laptop has 2 USB3 ports and 1 USB2 port specifications.
You need to boot from the USB 2 port.
It would be the only suggestion I can offer.

The only problem is now, when I try and open an attachment in my email, it says this file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Please can any one help I have sat here for hours and still not find a solution.
Hello
Well, after using the recovery CD all programs and other tools that you have installed on the portable computer have been removed.
I guess you want to open a file of attachments in particular.
In this case, you will need to choose a new application to open files.
The easiest way is to right click on the file and choose open with. You can then choose the program which should open the file attachment.
For example: txt file > editor or Notepad -

M40-101 of recovery using Recovery DVD...
Hello
I want to reinstall my OS, but firs I wanted to ask, if it's going to crash, only the first partition or the entire hard drive?
It is very important for me, because I have some important files on the second partition...--
Best regards
MateuszHello
If your HARD drive has two partitions, you can use the installation in expert mode to install the OS on already exist the first partition.
Please be careful what you do, because there are two options: to install the operating system on an existing partition or create a. I don't know, but it takes the image of partition option or something similar.
If you have any other questions, please write again.

Recovery DVD creation error - power calibration error has occurred
Hello
Tyring to create the recovery DVD, but after a few minutes the following message appears: Power calibration area error has occurred
error code: 0e01b5-00037304
Please check if dvd is scratched or dirty.I have already lost 4 DVDs (brand new in box)
Y at - it another way to create recovery DVDs or is it enough if I have the recovery saved on drive D?
Thanks for the helpTo be honest, it is a good idea to create recovery DVDs. It can happen that the HARD drive will be defective or for any other reason, you will not be able to access the saved on the second partition recovery image. If something goes wrong, you can use recovery DVD to install OS and have once again the factory settings.
I don't know what the problem is here, but I advise you to use DVD-R virgins only. Buy TDK or Verbatim and it works well.
Believe me, that I have created about 20 DVD recovery by always using the same media. Whenever it worked correctly.Theoretically, you can only have the recovery image on the second partition, but you can not install other OS. Score structure cannot be changed. Believe me it's much better to create recovery DVDs.

Satellite P200 purchased in Australia lost recovery DVDs
I bought a computer laptop Satellite P200, Vista Home 32 bit, during a trip to Australia, in all my travels, I managed to lose my recovery DVD and now home to the United Kingdom, I need to run recovery due to corrupted Windows system files. When I try to order from Toshiba Europe site it tells me that I bought my laptop abroad, but when I visit the Australian site, there seems to be any method of ordering the recovery DVD, the only point of contact is applicable in Australia free phone number.
Can someone point me in the right direction please?
Original Toshiba recovery DVD can be ordered only in the country of purchase and what you can try is to contact the service provider allowed soma in Australia. I hope that they can order, but the question is whether they want to send to UK.
One last thing: do not use recovery DVD for installing the OS. You can get Microsoft DVD facilities and install Vista on your own. I am sure that all the drivers, tools and utilities for your model laptop you can find on the Australian support and download page under
