Reboots
Hello
My macbook pro, early 2011, has developed this question constantly want to restart itself, which began after an updated operating system a few back. Since the last update, it was not bad, but always makes me a big problem when it crashes. I can take up to an hour to reboot and then is very picky. Any ideas?
Check to see if there was the panic of the kernel and then id, after the last one being:

Mail (version 9.3) frequently freezes, requires a reboot.
Mail under El Capitan (10.11.6) freezes frequently. Rebuild my Inbox, sent messages, Junk, etc was not rectified the problem. Seems arbitrary? Anyone else having this problem? All possible solutions to this?
Make a backup, preferably 2 on 2 separate drives.
Exit the Mail.
Go to Finder and select your user folder. With this Finder window as the windshield, select Finder/display/display options for presenting or order - J. When the display options opens, check "show the library folder. This should make your visible user library folder in your user folder. Go to Library/Containers/com.apple.mail. Move the folder com.apple.mail on your desktop. You must move the entire folder, not just the content.
Reboot, re-launch Mail and test. If the problem is resolved, recreate the required e-mail settings and import emails you want to save to the folder on the desktop. You can then put the file in the trash. If the problem persists, return the folder where you have guessed replacing one that is there.
If he does not repeat the above using Containers/com.apple.MailServiceAgent.

installation of Sierra on MacBook - locked system &; computer killed hard reboot
MacBook locked during installation of Sierra. Pressed the power button to a hard reboot and now can not initialize get only a message stating your computer restarted because of a problem of waiting to continue to go, but it keeps looping to the same Message and keeps trying to restart.
I put the installation disc in a attempted to hold the c key during the restart and the same thing happens
The installation disk will not help on a Mac running macOS Sierra.
Start your Mac while pressing the command + R keys.
From there, you should be able to use the built in utility to check, repair and restore the OS X disc using OS X Recovery.

Yes for sure too. I have a new iPhone 7 more than 256 and only 4 days with 10.0.2 with random restart every day.

OS El Capitan on Macbook Air is blocked even on reboot
Hello, I have a Macbook Air El Capitan that hung, several open applications and is still clinging even to reboot. The mouse does not work, so I can't even close individual applications to try to identify the culprit. Open applications are email, Firefox, calendar, Messages, Kindle, Bluetooth keyboard configuration (unintentionally open). Someone knows how to fix? Force Quit doesn't shut it down just recharged and breaks down until I can close apps correctly. Thank you!
Hello there DivotGirl,
Looks like you turn on your computer and it responds immediately. I begin by starting in safe mode to delete some system-level caches and perform a disk check and repair if necessary:

You should get it all together. Thank you for using communities of Apple Support, let us know how it goes.

iMac late 2012 edition hangs on reboot after installing Sierra
I installed on my iMac, edition end of 2012 Sierra, and now it crashes when rebooting and turns off (black screen).
It has worked very well since the upgrade to Sierra yesterday, but this morning I rebooted and the iMac stop at Midway through the boot process. I turned on several times, but it keep crashing to half way through the implementation process and turns off the power (Black screen and power total power off).
I reboot in Recovery mode, (key command-R during restart) and am currently OS X via my latest TimeMachine recovery upward. According to the screen, the restoration will take about 2 hours to complete.
If someone has encountered this problem, and if so, will identify you the cause of the problem?
No problem on my Mac Pro 2010 but usually this kind of problem can be traced back to the 3rd install party who tries to run at startup.
If the problem persists try to start in safe mode

Change the desktops sometimes causes reboot
Hello! Since the upgrade to Sierra this morning, I found a pretty annoying bug. Several times I have "swept" my Magic Mouse to turn on my second monitor to desktop computers, my iMac mid-2011 restarts. Nothing seems abnormal in Mission Control, but I don't know where else to look for clues on how to prevent this.
Does anyone else have this problem?
Hi there HippieBoy!
Welcome to the communities of Apple Support and thank you for bringing your question about your Magic Mouse having problems switching to the desktop on your second monitor and restart your iMac. I love being able to use a second monitor and have my iMac spontaneously reboot would get old real fast for me. It's my pleasure to help you today.
If you go to System Preferences > accessibility and then remember to uncheck Reduce motion, which should fix this for you. For more information on the Motion to reduce under macOS Sierra:
macOS Sierra: reduce the movement of the screen
Take care and have a great day!

Computer reboot at startup guard
This summer my Mac (3.1) behaves very strange;
When I start it in the morning, it restarts (by itself) 2.3 sometimes 4 x every morning I start.
The interval varies between 10-30 min max and maybe 30 seconds.
After that, he works all day - in the evening without a hitch.
I have to admit, we were always with high humidity.
And the problem started this summer.
When that I start, I let him settle for a while, but again it restarts.
I wonder, what could cause reboot?
My guess is material...?
I plugged 4 disks from Drobo, but I do not think, they might be the problem.
- Note the time of the next involuntary reboot. After the reboot, open the Console app in Finder > Applications > utilities and look for entries of the log at the time of reset. Suspicious message here.
Search before the journal entry that begins with BOOT_TIME since it is the first line of a startup

By updating my iPad iOS 10 it locked up and I had to reboot. Now a few apps do not work.
Is it possible to reinstall iOS 10 or should I just wait for the next update from Apple?
You can restore the device. You can either restore from a backup, or you can restore back to the factory. See the information in these two documents of support for instructions, depending on how you want to restore.

How can I recover this incredible memory huge piece? Thank you.

iMessage and facetime activation requires after each reboot.
Hello
I updated my iphone 6 + with ios10 update and since after that whenever I restart my device I need to reactivate my cell phone for iMessage and facetime and make me pay for activation causing SMS carrier charges.
To confirm that I'm not changing any how sim or anything like that just a simple reboot and I need to recheck my number every time with activation of SMS.
Hey pulkitgupta23,
I understand that you have a problem with your iPhone and iOS 10 where you have to reactivate your phone number for iMessage and FaceTime, every time that you restart your iPhone. We want to help you to get to the bottom of this and resolve this problem, so let's start with a few basic steps. I have some suggestions for you in the following article that could help us solve it correctly:
If you get an error when you try to activate FaceTime - Apple Support or iMessage
Check your camera settings
- Make sure that you are connected to a Wi - Fi or cellular data. If you use an iPhone, you will need the SMS messaging to activate your phone number with iMessage and FaceTime. Depending on your operator, you might be charged for the SMS.
- Go to settings > general > Date & time and make sure that you have configured your time zone correctly.
Stop and restart iMessage and FaceTime
- Go to settings > Messages and turn off of iMessage.
- Go to settings > FaceTime and turn off FaceTime.
- Restart your device.
- Turn on iMessage and FaceTime.
Try following these procedures, such as written and let us know the results. If the problem is still not resolved, try to provide as much detail as possible in your message tracking, including information on the first time, you have noticed the issue and source of your internet connection when the question is displayed. Thank you for joining the Apple Support communities with your questions!

El Capitan keyboard does not not after reboot
I have a Macbook Pro 13 inch with OS X El Capitan 10.11.6
After one of the recent improvements, I met a problem, if I take my mac, the keyboard and the trackpad to respond enough lag (if I constantly try to move the cursor, he'll have a time and then for like half an hour it will completely stop responding and after this the other repeats). It only happens after reboot and only on the login screen. So if I put my mac to sleep and then wake up, everything will work perfectly. Same thing if I managed somehow to connect, once the keyboard and trackpad respond correctly. The only button that works fine after reboot is the power button, but it doesn't help much, because it charges does not solve the problem somehow: as soon as the user selection screen, keyboard and mouse stops responding again (or should I say "start answering from time to time").
I saw lots of questions here on the keyboard does not not after waking up, but as you can see, this isn't my situation.
Try again in Safe Mode.
Start up all by holding down the SHIFT key. It takes five minutes longer because it is a disk first aid on the way up, and you MUST provide your user name and password, even if you normally the automatic connection.

Hello A.MROUWEH,
Thank you for reaching out to the Community Support from Apple. I know how it is important to keep your applications up to date and I have some information that can help. Whenever we see problems with updates and downloads of the app, it's a good idea to disconnect from the App Store by clicking on the Store menu and selecting "logout".
Then, you restart the Mac and reconnect and see if it will download updates. If the problem persists, test the behavior in safe mode by following the steps in this article: try safe mode if your Mac does not start-up.
Let us know if the problem persists. The entire community is here to help.
