Receipt of the OCR Scanner

Hi guys

I'm looking for an app for iOS devices for my business of digitalisation of reception, need me some specific criteria, and I am struggling to find the right app.

He must be able to:

Recipes with OCR scan (so you can put information out of the image)

Send only the data scanned in PDF, excel spreadsheet or cvs file format

Allowing a sweep in offline mode

(Optional) Import and send information directly in a filemaker database

Can someone help me with this? Is there such an application?

  • Image indexable vs searchable Image (exact) - quality of the OCR

    I work in the legal field and have always used the "Searchable Image (exact)" parameter when you run internal OCR on the document productions.  I am currently using Acrobat X when I do my own OCR.

    I have a seller who says they use Acrobat 9 "Searchable Image" for all productions of their document.  They say even if the actual image of the document is altered, they get better quality OCR results than they do with 'Searchable Image (exact).'  They say that the document is corrected that text can be read by the OCR engine.

    My problem is that a lot of documents is changed.  Architectural drawings in particular are dramatically tilting to the right, the edge of the drawing is being cut entirely from the document and dotted lines are added to the image itself - apparently where used to be at the edge of the page.  This is unacceptable.  They say that the entire drawing being reversed so that the first lines of the text on the drawing's horizontal.  So if there is a small piece of text that is tilted, the entire drawing is inclined to adapt to this one piece of text.

    Is it true that OCR is much better using "Searchable Image" vs "indexable Image (exact)"?  I need to select a configuration option for all the docs, and I am inclined not not change our documents in any way at the expense of the OCR.

    They also say that they have docs of OCRing evil I can't OCR without problem using Acrobat 8 and Acrobat X.  Does this make any sense?  I went directly from 8 x, so I'm not familiar with Acrobat 9.

    Once the OCR files use "Searchable Image" and SAVED, you need to go back and
    find copies of the original files pre - OCR and reOCR them by using "indexable Image (exact)"?

    If having this "faithful" to the original document is an indispensable attribute then, Yes, get you the pre - OCR had PDFs and run through the searchable Image (exact).

    Regardless of the version of Acrobat (4.x, 5.x, 6.x, 7.x, 8.x, 9.x, X or XI), the essential characteristic of the searchable Image (exact) has not changed.
    In other words, the image does not suffer the "tweaking" provided by indexable Image.

    Therefore, the PDFs by searchable Image (exact) of which version of Acrobat will be acceptable.

    What happens if you treat a PDF file containing a scanned image of text content through the searchable Image (exact)?
    The PDF wins a second 'hidden layer' of the production of the OCR. (I have it done - inquiring minds want to know, huh?) )
    Of course, using Acrobat Pro, we could eliminate an existing one 'hidden layer' OCR output.

    --| Monochrome--> select "CCIT Group 4.

    For filtering
    --| review the help of Acrobat to read the discussion on the choices that are available.
    (Deskew |) Background removal | Edge shadow removal | Clean | Descreening | Removal of Halo | Sharpening text)

    Open the help of Acrobat and go to "analyze a paper as a PDF document.
    A close reading of the information will be informative and useful.

    You want to avoid dealing with any image of the record of lossy compression (which compresses by destructive removal of pixels - so "corrupt" that "faithful").

    You want to avoid filtering which alters the image.

    Thank you, Sean. I found out what I needed to know to fix the DIF from a document from hp customer service. I was able to fix by restarting, it is to unplug the usb cable first from the printer, wait 5 seconds, plug the cable back in. Then I desconnected the cable from the computer, wait 5 seconds and plugged.

    Duh!

  • Satellite P300-PSPCCA - malfunction of the fingerprint scanner

    I had my p300 for a little over 8 months know and use the reader of fingerprints as well as the software to connect and protect a VERY large amount of personal data and work related documents.

    And yesterday when I tried to access some schemes of work I opened the folder and right click on the file clicked on unprotection leader skipped the small box with the fingerprint to the said analysis of fingerprints digital I did and he said too short scan.
    I scanned again and again and again same result every time.

    What I do im thinking of sending it to the service to have the reader/scanner replaced.
    I tried to reinstall the software and I restored the entire score of the point has upward, two weeks ago, but with no result.
    He said still too short.

    Is their anything I can do on my end, so I lose my phone again for 6 weeks (Yes, it took them that long to repair my laptop and that I still had to ultimately collect the repair center)

    This doesn t will provide a solution to your problem, but it provides information about the files that are protected by fingerprints.
    The fact is that if you would like to try to reinstall the OS and move the files to another location then the files are not accessible more and you will not be able to take out them more :(

    I have no idea why your fingerprint reader does not read your fingerprint. Maybe there is something wrong with the sensor or something like that
    I think that it s not a software issue since you can receive and message from fingerprints, saying the analysis was too short so I m thinking that it s associated with a sensor or a scanner.

    Hmm, it would be interesting to know if the footprint would be functions after the system recovery, but that means that the whole HARD disk should be formatted and you would lose the files

    I'm trying to recycle my set OCR file in LabVIEW. Basically, I show the reading string to the user and in case something goes not the respective character must be corrected in the charatcer set file, according to the text entered by the user. It sounds pretty simple, but I haven´t find a way retrieve the character index in the file must be recycled. For this I would be needs to know what character in the set file has been found to resemble one give read character. Do you know how I can get this info? I intend to use the OCR rename character VI.

    You can retrieve the total number of characters formed using IMAQ OCR VI property and looking for property "size of char set.

    Normally the scanner is better than the scan on a printer AiO funtion. If you want to use only SCAN function, the 300 Scanjet is much better than the AiO 6520 and LESS hassle than the AiO.

  • Assembly of the jammed scanner

    I have the HP Laserjet M1217 MFP nfw.  It is no longer copy or scan. It seems that the scanner Assembly is stuck at halfway through the glass. When I restart the machine, it moves only about an inch, then come back.  It also shows "error scanner 22" on the Panel.  I've updated all the software/firmware and everything that I could find, without change. The doctor scanner utility does not detect a problem. Comments or suggestions is greatly appreciated.

    I downloaded from HP, but when OCR software I scan copy, it asks if you want to send RTF or WordPad.  I use Open Office.  Is it possible to copy it to that?  I have a HP Photosmart 3000 all-in-one printer and use Windows 7 on my laptop.

    The OCR software may not recognize Open Office. If you save it on Wordpad you should always be able to open the document in Open Office. If this does not work, you will need to contact Microsoft to check what OCR program is compatible with Open Office.

  • I was using WIA in Photoshop Elements because of problems with my scanner HP ScanJet sudden 4200C window. With the help of my scanner HP through WIA worked very well. Now I have problems analysis with either WIA or the window of the HP scanner.

    When I finally tried to solve the initial problem scanner HP in resettlement of the disk to scan, I kept getting the message that it was not compatible with Windows 95 or 98. But I have Windows XP.  So I finally downloaded and installed scanner drivers, software and upgrades on HP website. Well, the works of scanner, but now there are new problems.  1 - once the hp scanner window is displayed by clicking on import through Scanner HP, most of the menu at the top of the window items is not available. For example, I go to settings and all that is now available is to scan in color. There are 5 other options I should be able to click on, for example, resolution.  And I need that.  I thought, no problem, I'll just use WIA as before, as well as the WIA window came much faster than the HP one.  Problem 2 - in elements, I can go to WIA, but it says "NO compatible WIA devices have been detected."  That's happened?  I tried to go into Panel, scanners and cameras, add a device... but he could not find the scanner and of course, he cannot read the HP disc because of the inconsistent message of windows 95-98 (on my Windows XP computer!).  Can - I just uninstall my scanner and if I make the WIA will be able to find it after that?  I do not understand how I could use WIA and now I can't.  I know it has something to do with that I downloaded and installed at HP, but what?  I hope someone can help.  I have a huge project that I'm trying.
