only, I was contacted by a person claiming to be windows saying that my computer has been infected and he called for help. He hit me the windows and "R" key at the same time. Then I typed in "eventvwr" and who showed me a list of some events with indicator red and yellow. Then he wanted me to go back and enter "iexplore www.support.me", so he could fix my computer. I became very suspicios and did not continue with his appeal. Is it a hoax or someone really trying to help me? Because I did not communicate with him, I feel that this is not a legitimate operation. Thanks for your help.

Either these so-called "Microsoft" Tech companies want to sell you a worthless software, or remote access to your computer to try to steal your credit card and bank information and also achieve an identity theft on you.
We have all the errors and warnings in our Event Viewer
That's what you do if you never give them remote access.
If you gave them remote access and you do Internet banking, contact your bank, explain, and change passwords.
If you use your online credit card, cancel and get a new one issued to you.
And the only way that willl you know that you are free to them is to backup your data and do a clean install of your operating system.
See you soon.

I just got a phone call from a person stating they are from Microsoft saying that my computer is infected. They asked me to run something and then they gave me a webiste to type. I was very tired and I asked for a phone number and she gave me 1-416-915-3536 or 1-800-500-44600 and ask Christine.
Is - is this legitimate?
Please notify. Thank you... Bernadette
It is a scam. Whatever you do, don't let them get close to your computer. MS does not have that kind of appeal.
Good luck.

If you did not have access to your computer or that you have not installed all the software that they have you asked to install, then you have nothing to fear.

I received a phone call from someone claiming that I had a virus
I received a phone call from the India, claiming I had a virus, and it seems that I do... I followed the steps, they gave me, but I was unable to give them remote access to my computer (IE; take control). I found out because it is a scam.
As they were unable to access remotely are they still able to access my personal information?
And will install an antivirus on my computer to get rid of the virus known as I have now?
Thank you.
Hello
Looks like a scam. Please do not hear these calls. If they failed to take control of your computer, then there is no need to worry.
I suggest that you download, install and run Microsoft Safety Scanner and check if it helps to flush out the virus.
I would also say that you used your main security software of Microsoft Security Essentials .

I received a phone call from a company claiming to be windows saying a virus had hit my computer and I had to follow its procedures to address them. I refused and said I would call them back, he said to call 2896451510 and that he was in the New Hampshire USA and his name was Ron. This guy knew my home and then asked me how many girls or boys lived here... that's when I hung up.

fsmgroup called sayinhg that my computer has been infected with spyware
I had been contacted by twice saying that you had advised the (supposedly legitimate third-party provider you?) to call me as my computer ID showed that I had been infected with spyware + report fsmgroup error warning. I carefully allowed them remote access where they have ran spyware inf and demonstrated on a 1000 Trojans. I said several times that I wasn't going to buy anything and they said that they were not selling anything and that they were working on your behalf for me rid of bugs that will eventually lead to my PC to hang with a blue and black screen. However, the only way to solve the problem was to buy a plan. When I refused to purchase the plan, they started the files removed from my spyware in location, despite my asking them to stop - I turned off my computer to stop. I asked them why they did not respect my wishes and they couldn't answer. The person said it had deleted the wrong file and then hung up. I caused damage to my computer. I can see no longer the same disks and I thought that it had removed the demand of c: Windows drive | INF. There still a lot of files in this folder (more than 1000) which have been reproduced with an extention. PNF. Are these files malicious indeed, if yes, what can I do? Also it damage by deleting anything in this area. I ran Malwarebytes and found no errors.
I am very concerned. Please can you help.

Someone called saying they were Microsoft and say that our computer has been hacked
Don't know how to do this. Don't know what to believe. I cut the person. Is it possible to contact Microsoft and ask about it?
HD
Its a scam. A well known and long-lasting. Microsoft will never ask you for personal information (they already have them) and you never call cold. Nor do they send messages of anti virus-They are the partners who do this nor Microsoft does not only

They gave me the support options for windows costs $139 for one year; 188 for two years and more
No, it's a scam.
Did you leave the appellant access to your computer?
If so, you must save your stuff on an external media and then re - install Windows. Actually he will wipe away anything that the person could have installed.
If you're banking online or gave the appellant credit card number, contact your bank immediately and follow their advice on what to do next.

I received a phone call from microsoft technology who wanted to go on my computer & difficulty a Trojan horse, which is on my computers (more than one computer in my house). Hello
It's a SCAM!
Avoid scams to phone for tech support
http://www.Microsoft.com/security/online-privacy/avoid-phone-scams.aspxIn the United States, you can contact the FBI, Attorney general, the police authorities and consumer
Watch groups. Arm yourself with knowledge. The Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) is a partnership between the Federal Bureau of Investigation

I received recent phone calls from someone who says they are with Microsoft
I received phone calls recently from a person saying they are with Microsoft and that my computer has been downloading unnecessary files. They claim they know because the error and warning messages are sent to the Inbox of Microsofts. I am reluctant to talk more with them.
How can I be sure of who's calling? In addition, if it is true, how can I check my computer?
Hello
Calls unrequested telephone of this nature are almost always a common scam. Do not let them give any info, do not give access to your PC, not give them all the money and do not go to all the websites that they suggest. One moment.
Please see:
https://www.Microsoft.com/security/online-privacy/avoid-phone-scams.aspx
Microsoft issues never not solicited for phone calls of support or security.
These types of callers can use completely fictitious names or bogusly claim to be of real companies other than Microsoft as well.

Phone calls from Microsoft technical team
I had phone calls from the "team microsoft technical" eager to help with my computer as it is slow. they take me in "teamviewer" which I didn't like. are these people for real?
If you first contact then they are crooks. MS will NEVER ' you call MS have no. WAY OF KNOWING that there is a problem with your computer.
Suppose that your computer has been compromised if you let access. Carry out checks for malware, virus check, firewall checks and change ALL your passwords passwords Bank ESPECIALLY. Check your bank accounts other than your computer.
