  Bought a new iPad2 with wi - fi access.  I'm at home on my wi - fi using iPad.  Try to add my Hotmail account to the iPad, so I can retrieve my e-mail messages.  When I try to add the e-mail account Hotmail to the iPad, I select Windows Live Hotmail on the iPad.  Then I go my e-mail address Hotmail and Hotmail password in the iPad.  The iPad then said audit.  Then, a box pops up saying "account Hotmail, impossible to verify account information.  I spent an hour on the phone with the support of the iPad, and they tried everything they could to nothing does not.  iPad support said that I would need to contact Hotmail support.  I learned that Hotmail doesn't have a support phone number you can call, a search box that was of no use to me.  I am able to log in to my Hotmail email account without problem on my regular computer.  I could program my wife Comcast.net email in iPad without problem and bring up his email on the iPad.  I can't get past the "can't check Hotmail Account Information" message on the iPad.  Frustrated, want to be able to retrieve my Hotmail e-mail messages from my iPad, please help!  Thank you, Neil

  Alternatively, you can try to update WebMail Notifier. Please see the comments: Firefox Tools (Alt + T) > modules, click on the gear in the top icon right > check updates. Otherwise, right click on the WebMail Notifier and find the updates. Forum notify WebMail may also have helpful advice.

  You are quite right to be wary of all the emails asking for personal information - including bank details. My advice is to ignore all the links and contact information on the email and call rather the company that manages the 'account' independently using well known coordinates.

  Never provide details of credit card or bank account by email - this isn't sure. That's why companies employ Web pages secure (locks in the address bar http) for the web browsers to use such information.
