Recent versions of thunderbird have white text on grey white or clear tabs and buttons that cannot be read. How can I fix it?

Upgrade to 38.2.0 from the previous version did not help. I use the default theme of Thunderbird. I tried the themes of the add-on, and they are not satisfactory. I prefer vanilla, but inactive tabs at the top and the menu bar are unreadable. How to make black text back?
I searched the Web and can't find an answer. I've read discussions of editing userchrome.css, but I can't find this file in my profile.
If this question has been asked before, please help me find where.
Thank you.

Incidentally, the file name is userChrome.css or it does not exist by default; You must do it yourself, in the folder also (probably) there is no chrome .
