RECENTLY I HAVE WINDOWS 7 PROFESSIONAL 64-BIT AND THAT YOU CANNOT LOAD LABTEC WEBCAM MORE. I GET THE MESSAGE 'THIS PRODUCT NOT DESIGNED FOR YOUR OPERATING SYSTEM' I TRIED TO GO ON THE LABTEC WEB SITE AND DOWNLOAD DRIVER FROM HERE, BUT STILL WILL NOT WORK. CAN ANYONE HELP?

Hello

Please, do not type in capital letters as it is difficult to read and considered to be shouting.

As you know that there are no Windows 7 drivers for this camera. Check with the support of Labec.

You can try loading the latest driver available in Compatibility Mode which sometimes
work however, it isn't anywhere near a sure thing.

Exhausted all other methods in the Troubleshoot utility above before trying these.

Logon as ADMINISTRATOR for all of them.

You can try Compatibility Mode but this rarely works on the device drivers.

Right click on the driver executable (.exe) file - select Compatibility Mode

In the drop-down menu choose XP or Vista and Service Pack (if it is the version
"you try the drivers).

Click OK, and then let the race to see if it will install.

=================================================

It also rarely works on the device drivers but it is worth trying:

Another method to try is to run the .exe (if self extraction) or Unzip (if it is compressed) to a folder:

How to open a high in Windows 7 command prompt

Open an elevated command prompt : (probably looks like this)

C:\Windows\System32 >

CD \the path to this folder as C:\User\Your user Name\Camera_Folder or whatever the path
is the folder where the driver is unpacked.

In this case it would be \User\Your User Name\Camera_Folder CD and would look at the prompt:

CD \User\Your user Name\Camera_Folder >

This in type at the prompt and press ENTER.

-I - one *.inf PnPUtil

It will take a little time to respond.

If it does not (error) use the full path to the driver, for example (which can be used for)
"no matter what guest):

PnPUtil-i - one C:\User\Your user Name\Camera_Folder\*.inf

Still wait to see if it will install.

I use 2 machines to Windows 7 Professional 64 bit and 1 Windows 7 Professional 32-bit machine on a wired Ethernet network.

The network works fine with one question. When I add a new file on the same machine and try to access this new folder from another machine the new folder does not appear. I have to disconnect the network drive of the machine with the new folder, and then map a new drive. When I map the new drive the new folder appears in Windows Explorer on the second machine.

It's very frustrating when I want to add a file attachment to e-mail from another machine and it does not appear until I disconnect and re - map the drive.

I hope this all make sense. Does anyone have an idea how to solve this problem? I don't remember this problem when my network was XP Pro machines.

    Thanks for your help.

    Thank you for your help.

The I work around this problem is to do step 1 and step two, as you suggest.  I haven't restarted the computer though - I will also try it.  I have also not tell abled my ESET NOD32 Antivirus software either - I'll try that too.
The network drive I'm seeing 'change' on does not refresh by itself, when I press F5 or go to view/update.
Search Google indicates that this refreshing a network drive issue to show a newly created folder, etc. is a long time, Windows 7 problem.
I would like your ideas on the potential problem of Windows 7 found on Google.

I currently have Safari Version 6.1.6 and that you need to update. Should what version of safari I download?

The latest version of Safari is 9.1. Apple page on this subject is here. Perhaps the reason best/only to use an earlier version if you are using an older version of OS X (pre 10.9.5) or a former Mac (before Intel processor.) You told us all this, in your question.

  • Windows 7 Professional 32-bit and 64 - bit

I soon to set up a new unit to Dell with a CPU i7, SSD & a good NVIDIA video card and my client has specifically requested that the operating system Windows 7 Professional 32 - bit be installed on it, due to the fact that it will run only older legacy there applications (except for the 2013 Office, but I will always install the 32-bit version of).  Also the fact that it will deal with only 4 GB of RAM (which isn't a big deal to him), are there any other compelling reason do not install instead of the 64-bit version?

I wonder if this will affect the overall performance of the operating system based on the way it interacts with the CPU or some such?  (I'm talking about 64-bit here).  Currently, there is little, or even 64-bit available than the average home user programs could (or should) use; There is no any video or even photo editing or any other high activity range, much the processor on the computer.

In addition, it would save having to install double versions of some of the other common applications, such as Java & IE 10, etc..

If & when he never goes 'up' for Windows 8, Windows (at this point) or 'Blue', then it might make sense, but it is not simply to use new programs and / or 'great mighty ones' who would benefit from a 64-bit Windows version, as far as I can tell.

I am open for any compelling reason to go 64-bit in the circumstances (other than the issue of the RAM, which is actually a non-issue) at the moment...

Apps must be 64-bit to run on a 64-bit application... 32-bit applications work fine in a 64-bit operating system.  As you say, Microsoft introduced the first 64-bit version of Office in Office 2010, but they always recommend running the 32-bit version on a 64 bit OS.

There are only a handful of reasons why a 32-bit application does not work on W7x64.  For example, the Remote Server 2003 management tools will not work on 64-bit.  There are more than 32-bit applications that do not run in Windows 7 because it's Windows 7 32-bit applications that do not run in 64-bit Windows because it is 64-bit.  After performing on means of Vista they will "probably" also works on Windows 7 as Vista has many of the same requirements and restrictions as Windows 7.

Here, I would look for the versions he will plan to run and specific applications:

    www.microsoft.com/.../Home

"Why have a 64-bit OS, if you're only (never) going to run 32-bit programs on it?"

The best reason?  Right now, he has only to 32-bit applications.  He's going to upgrade to 64-bit applications?  Probably no - one at the same time, probably needs.  Software companies do not feel that they need to write for the 64-bit platform in the near future, so 64-bit applications are not always available for a product, and/or not available when him and his other apps are ready for the jump to 64-bit, in order to have already installed allows just of 64-bit upgrade him that everyone is available and it is ready to be upgraded this app.  Keeping in mind that there is NO upgrade path on-site from 32 bit to 64 bit, a complete reinstallation will be required to move to 64 - bit - potentially a disruptive downtime, re-adusting amount settings and preferences, updates, reinstall programs, etc.  Also, say that it begins maxing out its RAM (max about 3.5 GB for 32 - bit)... an upgrade memory will require a reinstallation of the 64-bit above all more memory will be used.  With 64-bit, he can throw all memory system will support her with only a reboot to install the memory in the system.

My thought: if it will work on Windows 7 x 64, and it is a solution to medium and long term, there is no reason to not use it.

I can't get Win7Pro to accept the program, even in compatibility mode. Does anyone have experience you try to run DOS applications in Win7 64-bit environment? Are there programs to help the Win7 to run these programs?

William, try using the software ExDOS, should allow you to run all these programs and printing from them as well.

They have excellent support as well, if necessary.

I want to be able to read dvd files (vob files) with media player 12 by selecting the folder and then just click on play like no other product like power dvd or nero showtime, but I don't understand how to do this with wmp12.  Also why can I not add the vob files to the media library with wmp12?  Vob files appear in the Windows libraries outside wmp12, but when I add a folder to your video library in wmp12 they never appear in areas of the screen to play.  Wmp12 not allow vob files to add to the library or what?  I intend streaming files my blu - ray player from my network home using dlna.  All the other files except the vob files will flow from wmp12.  Whats up with that?

I transferred photos from a memory card on my desk but it keeps trying to make copies without end of the photographs and whenever I try to delete them, it makes more copies.  My office is invaded by the copies of copies of copies of pictures.  Help!

Copies are displayed when you try multiple

Unwanted copies have file names with
    copy "prefix of"?

    Example: Copy of IMG_1455.JPG

If_yes_maybe the following tutorial will be
    a few ideas:

Here's how to reproduce the unwanted
    copy of...

Hold down your CTRL key and select multiple files...

Place your pointer over the selected group
(holding the key ctrl) and left click / drag
the group even just the slightest bit... now
    release the mouse button.

    Ooops! More copies...

    Maybe the following will help:

Sometimes most of the person who
trying to select multiple by holding the CTRL
or the SHIFT key down while clicking on the left to select the

Copies are created when you are unable to

copies of all the files previously highlighted.

It's a little easier if you have your folder
Options set at single click... that way you can
select/deselect a file with just a mouse more
and you don't have to click. For multiples you
I have to keep... CTRL or Shift.

Do not click on... no slip... no copy... maybe that of

Open a folder and go... Tools / folder

If you want to delete all the files in a folder
    You can try the following:

Reach... Edition / select all... or type... CTRL / has...

With all of the files selected... go... Drop / delete...
