Recently my 2008 Dell Inspiron 530 desktop decided to download the drivers for a floppy drive, which he did not. Trying to remove the drivers it just comes back. =(
Remember - this is a public forum so never post private information such as numbers of mail or telephone!
Ideas: I honestly have no idea where these persistent drivers came and am not techi enough to know where to go to fix this.
- You have problems with programs
- The error message only comes when I turn on the computer and I have to press f1 to continue because disk 0 loadout or something else does not, and it is becoming a real chore.
- Recently, I stopped using windows update automatically cause I learned from a friend that I may be causing this problem and download the drivers, but I'm not sure it really the problem.
- everything I tried like a hotfix removes the drivers, but they came right at the start.
1. open the system restore by clicking the Start button, all programs, accessories, clicking System Tools, and then click System Restore. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

Check the time system to see if it is correct.
If it isn't, it's a sign that it may be a CMOS battery failure, which also having to press F1 is a symptom of, too.
It's a battery power supply NET, size piece that keeps your system settings when your computer is off.
They cost about $5 to replace.

You can also try setting your Bios back to default values, if the time is correct.
In the Bios, it will indicate which key support for defects: F5, etc..
At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go into Setup/Bios.

How to get or install a 2nd HD for Inspiron 530 desktop PC
I'm helping a colleague to set up a new Dell Inspiron 530 desktop computer. It is not possible to order this online with a 2nd hard drive system. He's thinking about controlling the system with a single HD, then buy another HD locally and adding.
However, what I saw inside my elderly parents Dimension 521, Dell goes HD using a plastic slider/support type and not with the 4 screws usual. I guess that the Inspiron desktop computer uses a similar system and that the plastic support is necessary to mount the HD in the case.
I would like more details on this subject. Is there room to the desktop Inspiron for a 2nd HD? Is it possible to order the HD mounting bracket separately and how? Alternatively, if you place your order by phone, would it be possible to have the 2nd HD included in the original order of the system.

Hi, Bob Brown,.
Follow the steps below to locate the problem:
Unplug all external devices:

- Printers
- Scanners
- Media card readers
- Small cradles of media (iPod, PDA, MP3 player, etc.)

Upgrade CPU Dell Inspiron 530?
I bought a Dell Inspiron 530 in October 2008 (Service tag <> NOTE from the ADMIN: Service tag removed by privacy policy >) and I would like to upgrade the processor. My current processor is an Intel Celeron 450 2.20 GHz. I think that my motherboard is a Foxconn G33M02. (But I am not sure, and I would like to confirm that, so that I don't get an incompatible cpu.)
What would be a good upgrade from the processor that I can put in my current motherboard? I feel that my current Celeron 450 is a uniprocessor processor, and I would trade out for an important and remarkable improvement with more hearts (at reasonable cost) while keeping the same motherboard.
I've already updated the PSU for a 460 Watt PSU and have also upgraded the video card. Looking for a good upgrade from the processor. I think I also need to update my bios of motherboard.
livin2fly
530 systems were built with two different models of motherboards.
FoxConn G33m02 [Dell P/N ORY007] motherboard, this version does not support processors Core 2 Quad, only the Core 2 Duo, Pentium Dual-Core and Celeron processors.
One of the following processors should operate in the 530 Inspiron:
Intel Pentium Dual Core 2140 (1.6 GHz, 800 MHz FSB)
Intel Pentium Dual-Core 2160 (1.8 GHz, 800 MHz FSB)
Intel Pentium Dual-Core E5200 (2.5 GHz, 800 MHz FSB)
Intel Core 2 Duo E4300 (1.8 GHz, 800 MHz FSB)
Intel Core 2 Duo E4400 (2.0 GHz, 800 MHz FSB)
Intel Core 2 Duo E6320 (1.86 GHz, 1066 MHz FSB)
Intel Core 2 Duo E6420 (2.13 GHz, 1066 MHz FSB)
Intel Core 2 Duo E6550 (2.33 GHz, 1333 MHz FSB)
Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 (2.66 GHz, 1333 MHz FSB)
Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 (2.80 GHz, 1066 MHz FSB)
Wolfdale Core 2 Duo E8400, 3.0 GHz, 6 MB, 1333 MHz FSB, 65W, E0
Wolfdale Core 2 Duo E8500, 3.16 GHz, 6 MB, 1333 MHz FSB, 65W, C0Before installing the processor, that you should check that you have BIOS Version 1.0.15 or above, when support for the new Intel processor has been added.

I HAV a dell inspiron 530 inter processor duel completely stock w vista... when I push the button to switch the fan to come on the button lights up blue then u hear 4 beeps and inside ther is a yellow solid lite on next to the motherboard no power to monitor usb black fan and s stays lite on the back is green as it should b what is problem It can b fixd can I solve this w taking some1 working inside a computer im alittle above a recruit n do thx mike
maheisel
Four "beeps", could indicate a memory problem, if you are comfortable working inside the computer, try to open the case, remove and reinstall all memory modules and see if that makes a difference.
If you not comfortable working with the removal and the reinstallation of the components, then I suggest that you take the Inspiron 530 to a repairman.
Is the power button LED, blue constant or flashing blue?
Every change made to the 530 recently?

Graphics card for Inspiron 530 desktop PC
I need a replacement of the graphics card for a Dell Inspiron 530, I got in 2008. Any suggestions?

Assuming you have the Inspiron 530 mini tour and not the Slimline version.
You could install a GeForce 9400 GT 1 GB 128-bit GDDR2 PCI Express 2.0 x 16, with the default 300w power supply.
I've been using same GeForce 9400 GT 1 GB 128-bit GDDR2 PCI Express 2.0 x 16 in the Inspiron 530, with the supply POWER Dell 300w, without any problem.
The GeForce GT 240 1 GB 128 - bit DDR5 PCI Express 2.0 ready video card x 16 HDCP, would be also compatible.
If you want to install a more powerful video card, this would require the set power level.

Hello, this is my first post on the Dell forums. I have a Dell Inspiron 530 with these specs: Intel Core 2 Duo E4500 2.20 GHz, 4 GB of memory at 800 MHz and a GeForce GT 610. It's the mid 2007 530 model. I have an extra CPU laying around, Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600. I wonder if I can use in this office. Also, what is the maximum amount of memory that I can install in it? Thanks for reading!

You should check what version of motherboard.
The Inspiron 530 has two variants of motherboards, made by Foxconn and based on the G33M series.
The G33M02 supports up to processors Core 2 Duo and the DG33M03 that supports the processors Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Quad.
Inspiron 530 systems sold with Pentium Dual-Core or Core 2 Duo processors cannot be upgraded to Core 2 Quad processors without adding at least a 350W power supply and swap the motherboards to the DG33M03 version. The G33M02 does not support processors Core 2 Quad is because he has 6 ICs, the DG33M03 voltage regulator has 11.
Note: Before upgrading the processor, make sure you have BIOS Version 1.0.15 or a more recent version, when support for the new Intel processor has been added.
The Foxconn G33m02 [Dell P/N ORY007] motherboard, supports a maximum of 4 GB of RAM DDR2, 530 Mini Tower with a Foxconn G33m03 motherboard systems can support 8 gb (4 x 2 GB modules).
530 s Dell 'Slimline' systems have a Foxconn G33m02 motherboard which only supports a maximum of 4 GB [either4 x modules of 1 GB or 2 x 2 GB modules].
Note also for Windows to recognize 4 GB more memory, you must have a 64-bit operating system installed.
