Recently updated Firefox 3.6.13 Firefox 13 - crashes when you try to open
I've been using firefox 3.6.13 for quite awhile; the reason why I have such an old version is because it's for a work computer, and an upgrade to newer versions in general is not homogeneous and can interrupt the working process.
Anyway, I find some downtime and decided that I would be upgraded to the latest version of firefox. Every thing seems to install fine, and he copied all of my addons on apparently (which I am thankful for). How ever, when opening Firefox it opens and displays two tabs saying "connection", but nothing happens beyond that. It just completely freezes providing the "waiting" icon when you move it. I tried + 10 minutes waiting for what ever treat was to finish, but nothing happened. To close Firefox, I need to kill the process in Task Manager.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but the same problem occurs. I tried to search earlier, stable versions of firefox, but couldn't find anything.
One possible cause is security software (firewall, antivirus) that prevents or limits Firefox or plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.
Delete all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container in the permissions list in the firewall and leave your firewall again ask permission to get full unlimited access to the internet for Firefox and the plugin-container and the update process.

See "basic troubleshooting: a new profile:
There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "tools > Modules > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.
If the new profile works then you can transfer files from the old profile to the new profile, but make sure not to copy corrupted files.

I am running Firefox 36.0.1 on an iMac with Yosemite 10.10.2. Firefox works fine except that it freezes and I have to force quit the application whenever I try to choose modules in the Tools menu. I've never had this problem before. This problem happened for three consecutive days with my iMac rebooted several times. The same problem occurs when you try to access the modules from the open menu icon. Does anyone have a solution? Thank you!
If you put this in the url bar: subject: addons
This also happens? If this isn't the case, add the back icon and remove it to reset. It also happens in Mode safe?

Constant 8 Firefox crashes when you try to open
Updated my Firefox to version 8 this morning, since then I have been unable to use Firefox. Whenever I double click on my icon on my desktop, Firefox crashes. I can not click on web links in emails that otherwise Firefox crashes. Yes, I've updated my plugins, update Windows, all done. Nothing works, and of course to get hold of the technical support of Firefox is impossible because it does not even appear to exist. How wonderful, it's not even be able to use Firefox and check my sites I bookmarked. I use Windows XP Professional, not the latest and greatest, but Firefox has stated that version 8 is compatible with Windows XP. I reported him blocks throughout the day, with zero response.
Ditto. With Seamonkey, Opera, Chrome and Palemoon, I'm good. Time to deep six Firefox, now most browser of the hostile user on the planet.

Firefox crashes when you try to attach a file to gmail compose
Laptop Vista 32. When you try to attach a file to a gmail account, compose explore dialog and then firefox crashes. Happens every time and began (I think) with the 16 or 17 years old version. Updated plugins, crossed of troubleshooting on the Help menu, I tried safe mode. All to nothing does not. IE works fine.
After reviewing all services and startup programs using msconfig, I've isolated the problem to a conflict with Dell Media Center in starting. I deleted the software (preinstalled on your laptop) since I never use anyway, re-enabled the acceleration hardware Flash and deleted the line mode protected in the file flash cfg.
NO MORE CRASHES when you try to attach a file to a message in gmail!
Thanks for all your help - could not have corrected it without you.

I get this message when you try to open Mozilla: the procedure entry point sqlite3_db_status could not be located in the dynamic link library mozsqlite3.dll.
Do a clean reinstall.
Download a new copy of Firefox and save the file to the desktop.
- Firefox 5.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
- Uninstall your current version of Firefox.
- Do not remove the data of a personal nature when you uninstall the current version.
Delete the program folder Firefox before installing newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
- It is important to remove the Firefox program folder to delete all the files and make sure that there is no problem with the files that were the remains after uninstallation.
Your bookmarks and other profile data is stored in the Firefox profile folder and will not be affected by a relocation, but make sure that you do not select delete data of a personal nature if you uninstall Firefox.

I have Photoshop CS5.1 (bought in 2011). The photoshop Camera Raw plugin is not recognize the format of my new Nikon D610. I've updated the version of my Camera Raw plugin and still get this message when you try to open pictures in photoshop. Help, please.
This link shows that 8.3 ACR supports the Nikon D610 and 6.7.1 was the final version for CS5.
Camera Raw plugin | Supported devices
If you can switch to CS6 and ACR 8.7.1
or using the DNG converter, convert your Nikon raw files to DNG to open in CS5.
Here is the download link: Adobe - Adobe Camera Raw and DNG Converter: for Macintosh: Adobe DNG Converter 8.7.1
or Windows: Adobe - Adobe Camera Raw and DNG Converter: for Windows: Adobe DNG Converter 8.7.1
And here's a great video tutorial on how to use the converter.

I downloaded "Lightroom_5_LS11_mac_5_7.dmg" for Mac that allows to update my Lightroom 5.6 (build 974614), but when I try to open it I get the error message "Lightroom_5_LS11_mac_5_7.dmg cannot open the disk image is not recognized. I am running Yosemite OS 10.10 on a Macbook Pro (retina, 13 inches, end 2012 with 2.9 GHz Intel Core i7 processor).
Vk2mh looks that the download was not complete or corrupt. When you download the update from? Have you tried to download it again?

Firefox crashes when you try to view SVG content
When you try to load the content created by the url below, firefox uses a lot of memory and would become insensitive, so that I have to close (and kill) it.
The same thing happens if I save the content in a file with a different browser (Opera, for example) and try to open this file.
I tried other machines. It works on windows but not on my SuSE and Ubuntu Linux (accurate). I tried without plug-ins and hardware acceleration disabled with firefox being reset.
Small graphics like http://pollux.informatik.uni-bremen.de:8000/Basic/Numbers.casl are no problem.
Ubuntu in firefox 16 that solves (part of) my problem

Firefox 6 crashes when you access bookmarks menu.
Gentoo/Linux/GNU
Firefox crashes when you access bookmarks or history via the toolbar. Unresponsive and must be killed.
This is a new installation, there was no previous installation of firefox before 6 was installed.
One possible cause is a problem with the places.sqlite file that stores the bookmarks and history.
Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions of the origin of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).
- Makes no changes on the start safe mode window.
