Recommend the academic training to Excel in my career

Hello VMware experts.

I worked with VMware and since virtualization platforms 6 years and I pursued my master's degree in artificial intelligence.

I really want to study for a while to learn something interesting and improve my professional profile.

What I'm looking for is an education that would allow me to take part-time or practical training during my studies subsequently.

Place of choice USA, favorite area of study: virtualisation, cloud computing, openstack...

Let me know if you'd recommend to pursue an MBA instead of a technical track, suggestions are welcome.

It's my linkedin account:

https://www.LinkedIn.com/profile/view?ID=82049263 & TRK = nav_responsive_tab_profile

I will soon add two certificates more to it: VCP-cloud & RHCSA.

I don't know that you can advice me on this, can't wait

Welcome to the community - from an academic point of view this will depend on the College or University if they offer specific programs on cloud/virtualization it will be part of a computer engineering degree.

An MBA would be beneficial if you want to move in the management/business component and technology - the shape

It's the speed that you want to get into the workforce - in the end, it's the hands on experience that will keep you a lucrative and improve your professional skills - so the choice, I see that you have at the moment is continue academic work or start to gain hands on experience-

I also moved it to a more appropriate forum

  • Behavior of the ADV change corrupt Excel File Types?

I entered a strange state Excel.  I don't know how. ERGO, I don't know how to reverse the trend.

All of a sudden, when I click on a file icon to open an Excel file with macros, I am invited twice to activate the macros (medium security).

Specifically, if I start Excel (new book), add a dummy macro (Sub doit() / End Sub), and save Book1.xls, when I then click Book1.xls, I get two guests enable macro.

I suspect that this began after I was experimenting with different Types of files advanced under Tools > Options for files in a folder.  I did not notice the problem then because I couldn't have clicked on a file icon for the Excel file with macros.

Note: I think that the root cause, twice, opening the Excel file may exist even for files Excel without macros.  It simply may not be obvious without the enable macro prompt.

Also note: I don't get the enable macro double guests when I open the file in Excel, for example by clicking on the name of the file in the list of recently opened files in Excel.

Unfortunately, I do not know what that file type Advanced had my experiences.  Currently for XLS, they are:

    New:
    Action: ' "C:\...\EXCEL."» "EXE" / e/n %1
    The DDE message: [new ("%1")]

    Open:
    Action: ' "C\...\EXCEL."» EXE' / e '%1 '.
    The DDE message: [open ("%1")]

It would not surprise me if the reference for %1 in the action line is redundant and root cause of the problem.  It does not appear in the line of action on another PC.  (Old Excel 2003 puts up-to-date and perhaps more older MSWin XP SP3 updates to date.)

But if I try to delete the reference %1, XP (?) restored automatically, but without the quotes in the line of action "open".

In other words, if I change the %1 and reference '%1', click OK, and then click on Edit again, %1 (without the quotes) reappears at the end of the two lines of action 'new' and 'open '.  The same is true if I close the file Options window, then re-open it.

If I remove the double quotes in the "open" action line, I do not receive guests enable double-macro.  However, I get several errors when I click on the icon of the Book1.xls file in a Temp folder, namely:

    C:\Documents.xls is not found
    and.xls is not found
    Settings\Joe\My.xls is not found
    Documents\Temp\Book1.xls could not be found.

Despite these errors, the Excel file is opened correctly.

Note that the full path is "C:\Documents and Settings\Joe\My Documents\Temp\Book1.xls".

This brings me to two tentative conclusions:

    1. the double quotes around the %1 in the line of action are needed for a path with interstitial spaces can be interpreted correctly.

    2. the file is indeed open twice, once for %1 in the line of action and again for %1 in the DDE message.

On this basis, the prompt enable double-macro is not surprising when %1 is replaced with '%1' in the line of action.

I can work around the double-open by editing the DDE message for the 'open' action, leaving '%1' at the end of the line of action.

But that changes the behavior to open two Excel files by clicking on their icons in file, namely: each file is opened in a separate instance of Excel instead of the same instance.  Ironically, it is the alternative behavior that I was experimenting with some days; and it might even be the behavior that I prefer.  I'm mulling over always pros and cons.  (Which I am fully aware of and need any help understanding.)

But the point is: it wasn't always the case.

So the question is: how to make (less intrusive) to restore Excel to its previous behavior, only enable macro prompt and probably open the file only once and when I click on file icon in a folder by opening multiple files within the same instance of Excel?

I certainly want to avoid to uninstall and then reinstall Excel.  I also want to avoid going back to a recent restore Point, since I'm not sure what desirable changes, I could have done in the meantime.  I am not opposed to editing the registry, if someone can tell me exactly what change to make.

(Change my macro security to avoid any incentive is also not a viable alternative.)

No doubt, this could be a matter of Excel, is not a matter of XP.  I'll post a similar question to Excel answers appropriate Forum.  I don't like the multi-post; but I don't know how crosspost, which is even supported by the Forum of answers.  However, I wonder if a XP-savvy person could recognize and solve the problem more quickly than a generalist to Excel.

I use Office Excel 2003 SP3, Excel 11.8169.8172 version, and MSWin XP Pro SP3 update 29/03/2009.

I know I'm behind in updates.  But all I ask is to restore the system (XP or Excel) to a State that worked fine before.  'Before' what I can not say with certainty; but certainly some time in the last week or two, during which I did no major changes to the system other than experimenting with File Types.

I _-u-me that XP or Excel update is not necessary, unless someone can point to a specific patch since the 29/03/2009, which solve my specific problem.

Tushar Mehta wrote in the Excel forum:

Maybe you can try - and I don't know if it will or won't work - Excel Help | Detect and repair... ability.

While I wouldn't recommend it for the faint of heart and not without a lot of precautions, he does not seem to have done the trick.

Advanced File Types have now been restored to what I expected, namely: Open action is now "C:\...\EXCEL. EXE/e"- no argument %1 - and the DDE message is [open("%1")].  By clicking on two ".xls" file icons results in both open in the same instance of Excel, the behavior of original product.

The procedure is a bit irritating because, first of all, click on detect and repair in Excel Help resulted in warning to close all Office applications, including Excel.  Because I didn't know no other way to invoke the detect and repair command, I clicked on the option Ignore, which I was grateful for.

Secondly, this operation has warned the Office installation CDROM may be needed, and indeed, it was necessary to complete the configuration of Office 2003.  That's troubling for me because I had never used the CDROM (Dell preinstalled the software), and I've had trouble finding even it since I had never unpacked boxes after a large home remodeling 3 (!) years.  (By wife hunted me for a year before she gives up on me.)

Without the CDROM to installation, I couldn't run Excel; He has always tried to complete the configuration of office.  And in fact, it was something on the CDROM which corrects the shares of Advanced File Types.

Now, I have to learn that rest to detect and repair could cancel.  I used the product for 5 years.  I have really no idea what settings I could have done for this period of time

    But it worked!

The 'Other' training activity is showing 15 minutes of exercise (green ring), even if I'm sitting these 15 minutes.

    Everyone uses this training?

It's intentional. You can use this activity even if you are not wearing the watch, for example, if you are at the pool and the watch is in your locker.  It is the only training mode, which believe you you do a workout, without condition.  It will always record the equivalent of a brisk walk.

  • Cannot open the PDM file with excel 2016

    Hey guys,.

I have Office 2016, LV 2015 and (I checked my "TDM Excel Add-in" file) the Excel Add-in 2015 of CT.

I have attached a picture of what I get when I try to open the PDM file with excel.

So, I found something strange. I checked active supplements under the excel options and the TDM Excel Add-in is listed as inactive (and is called a COM-add-in). I tried to activate it, by checking the box (see the second picture), but that does not change. Interesting is the last line of my second attached photo:

Translated it means: ' loading behavior: a runtime error occurred when trying to load this Add-In.

I have 10-64 bit operating system like windows.

Someone at - it a solution?

    Kind regards

The CW 3-d chart runs in an activeX container so...

Go to the public Service and the pop-up on the container (off-Panel) and select 'create the reference '. You MAY be able to use a node to invoke "Download Image" that CAN be useful.

Have not tried over the years.

  • Must be able to open the .csv file in Excel separated by two, and; -Windows 7 list separator

Original title: list separator Windows 7

Hi, I was wondering is it possible to add 2 values to list separator?  I need to be able to open the .csv file in Excel separated by two, and;  At the moment I can only do that if I continue to change the list separator value in the regional settings of Windows Alternatively, depending on which file I want to open.  Is it possible to add both?  I tried to add, and; separated by spaces, but it did not work.  Any suggestions would be much appreciated! Thank you!

It may be one, sorry.  But you can use an Excel template or Excel macro to analyze and open any kind of delimited file of reproducibly (even give you one-click button on the toolbar in Excel to do if you wish), and this is probably the best option.

  • How to freeze more than just first row on the version of Microsoft Excel 2010 leaves

I hope someone can help me as to how I can freeze more than just the top on an Excel worksheet row in Microsoft vs 2010.  The options seem to be very limited and I'm not finding how to create or expand the options.

The following gives the steps.  In short, select the row below the lowest line you want frozen, then freeze the panes (cannot be in cell editing mode in time): http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/excel-help/freeze-or-lock-rows-and-columns-HP010342542.aspx?CTT=1

I would like to apply a more efficient to organize the display of files, a similar to the options available via EXCEL.  I want to sort the files of desktop Windows 7 by type AND update... looks like it would be a logical way to view the files.  Currently, I can do one or the other.  Sort by modified date provides a hodgepodge of file types, sort by type will not most recently changed... organize a hodgepodge of dates.  You wonder why I felt it necessary to ask this... seems to be a simple and logical option which would already be available.  Is it?  If so, how can we do this?

I don't know where you see all sort in excel. The file > open in excel procedure uses this same kind as provided by the Explorer (its Explorer discovers Documents)

The view in excel is obviously filtered to Excel docs.

You probably need to rethink your documents folders stratergy
