reconnect the stall network of shared network variables

I have a cRIO unit communicates with a laptop using shared network Variables, one of them being a table of 21 index which is buffered.

The system connects and communicates very well, but sometimes the wireless laptop card is to lose the signal from the WAP, attached to the cRIO.

In this case the network never shared Variables "reconnect" and start to receive values still once the wireless link is restored.  Is this expected behavior?

When I tried to use other WAP industry instead of the card laptop wireless, I get no abandonment.

Hello Ryan,

Please contact National Instruments!  I looked into the problem you are having and I wanted to ask you a few questions more.  First of all, you have a period of time which allows the reconnection?  I believe that the Shared Variables should find the connection after a short period, but it may not be a very quick process.  It may take a few minutes to the Variables shared to reconnect.

The other thing that could happen is if you have error son being passed by shared Variables, it is possible that the error is not be deleted, and so he will always see the error and not a so never reconnect.  In this case, you will need to filter this error and then clear the error in order to use again shared variables.

If you have more specific information about your program that can help us to determine the reason for this behavior.  As a screenshot of your code would be useful.  Please let me know if you have any other questions and I'll be happy to help you.  I hope this helps!

    Greetings,

    I wrote an application that uses c# VS2005 and Measurement Studio 8.5 to control a test Chamber.

    to work? Or just install some assemblies with a msi installation file?

    Thank you

    SThompson.

    Hi SThompson,

    As the network variables are not a component of measurement studio, you won't have to have it installed on the remote computer unless you plan to debug and recompile an application developed in Measurement Studio.  To deploy the network variables, simply enter the correct merge your installer module:

    Once you create the Setup project, simply add the MStudioNetworkVariable.2005.msm merge module located in the program directory Files\Fichiers communs\Merge Modules for the project. Add this merge module also adds necessary additional dependencies. This step is necessary in order to collect and deploy all the dll and files for the underlying network variable. • Published the network Variables not accessible by other computers on the network

    I am trying to create a system where a computer will display network variables that can see any computer on the network, this includes a person bringing in a laptop computer and the connection for a short period.  So I was looking through a large number of forums to find an answer and tried many solutions and nothing has worked.

    This is where I am.  On a single computer if I update a variable network it appears on the DSM NOR (Distributed System Manager) under which the name of the computer and I use this variable and it is updated.  Any other computer connected to the network also appears on the DSM.  On the other computer, he sees the first computer in the DSM, but cannot see any one of the variables.  I also register the IP address of the computer, but it does not help.  If anyone has had this problem and know how to fix?  I had the same problem using my code for the project and the example code in the shared Variable Comms between Executables.Ivproj.

    Thank you for your time

    I had some problems lately with the network stream. I know that this isn't nearly the same as shared variables, but it uses the same underlying process in windows. In my case, it's the windows firewall in Windows 7 that has the problem.

  • Configuring the private network or disable questions for the network discovery in network and sharing Center.

    I just got my laptop all cleaned and had everything updated. When I got it back I was mainly concerned how my network and discovery sharing would work, because we never had a home computer and a laptop computer at a time. Our PC at home has always defined for a private network. Today, they are both defined for the private sector, the laptop will probably always be at home too, but I was curious to see how the printer share everything would work on my laptop. It would not print and I checked just the settings that the guy I of any program for me usually had the top settings. On my laptop that I was first checking out and the network discovery has been to custom on both, one on my PC was on, laptop has never been verified we or off, file sharing has been enabled on both. public folder sharing off on both, printer sharing turned off the PC at home, but on laptop, so much time, I guess me to turn on the PC I don't know yet. Printer password sharing is on the PC and laptop. I try essentially whether it is what you would call a custom setting make for a firewall setting, or could someone please just kinda tell me if the sharing of network discovery should be turned on on the laptop and the PC, or was it not suppose to be turned on to the laptop, but on the PC only? Which should be lit and which should not be enabled in the configuration of the private network? I just want to be able to print my laptop if I want to. Thank you

    Hello

    What version of Windows are you using?

    This article was written for the two Windows Vista & Windows 7.  Drop-down menu (right) allows you to activate Windows Vista Instructions.

    a network must be disabled. Is it possible to run simultaneously?

    original title: served various networks simultaneously on windows xp

    Go to where you have configured the static IP addresses for your network adapters.  Leave the "default gateway" blank for your local file sharing adapter and insert a valid default gateway for your wifi Internet adapter.  Of course, this will limit your adapter in a single subnet - which should be OK for use at home or small office to share local files.

    This should work as long as the two physical subnets have two different subnet numbers. In general, this means that the first three digits of the IP address of the adapter can not be the same on both adapters - if they are, then you need to make one of the subnets. (i.e. one is 192.168.1.xxx and the other would be 192.168.2.xxx).  This is usually accomplished in the router configuration page.

    The file can be accessed and copied!

    What's wrong?!

    I'm glad that you guessed it work.

    Permissions show that "Everyone" has full access inherited, so that the list must have been made after that you have added everyone.  "Everyone" in this list without a guest user (or any user if you have active Simple file sharing) would not have permissions on this folder.

    What should I do to configure my windows firewall to allow network discovery and file sharing of printers and media streaming and sharing?

    Hi stephanie,.

    Thanks for joining us out on Microsoft Community Forums.

    Looks like the Windows firewall prevents the discovery network, files and printers, sharing, public sharing of files and streaming media. We will analyze and identify the cause of the problem.

    You have a third-party antivirus installed on the computer program?

    Method 1:

    To turn on network discovery

    1. Open advanced sharing settings by clicking the Start button, then Control Panel. In the search box, type network, click Network and sharing Center, and then, in the left pane, click on change settings for sharing advanced.
    2. click on the chevron to expand the current network profile.
    3. click turn on network discovery and then click on save changes. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide
    confirmation.

    The article below explains all about the network discovery:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/enable-or-disable-network-discovery

    If any of these responses not solve the issue, let us then run the sfc scan and check if any file system is corrupt. I also recommend to perform a clean boot in order to find the root cause of the problem.

    Method 2:

    Use the (SFC.exe) System File Checker tool to determine which file is causing the problem and then replace the file. To do this, follow these steps:

    a. open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click programs, accessories principally made, right-click Guest, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow.

    b. type the following command and press ENTER:
    sfc/scannow

    The sfc/scannow command. analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.

  • Print to the shared printer on the Windows network problem.

    Hi all

    I apologies if someone read this the Forum of Acrobat Pro, but I was told I can get help on this forum. I have a problem that I'm beating my head up against. In my company, we have certain pdf documents that have been created using LiveCycle for our movement from the Green go 'paperless', but we hit a snag. We have some 'virtual' in use printers with our management software document who work as printers in normal network, but instead of capturing an image of the printed document and run OCR on our documents for the record-keeping. Each pdf document has its own virtual printer to recognize appropriate to use OCR models. To this end, we have many virutal sweepers for many of our documents. We love our LiveCycle documents but, when you try to use javascript to print on a particular network printer we found our complication. We do not map the printers using windows or to train our employees on their profile network printers adding as there is so much, and each document is assigned to a virtual OCR printer, we want the document has a built-in button that automatically prints which assigned virtual printer.

    If I open a document and edit it with Acrobat 9 Pro, I can simply place a button field and add this java code:

    var pp = this.getPrintParams ();

    pp.interactive = pp.constants.interactionLevel.Automatic;

    pp.printerName="\\\TOSHIBABILLING2\\pcl6 ';

    This.Print (pp);

    and the system prints on the printer network perfectly. However, if I use this same javascript in LiveCycle we get nothing. Further reading I found some details that I can't use this same script to print to the printer network using LiveCycle and am so at a loss.

    I tried to open the form in Acrobat 9 Pro to modify and just add the button using Acrobat Pro, but every time I change the document, it opens LiveCycle Designer.

    I don't know which forum to use as this problem has been found between the work with both programs. Can someone help me change the code for LiveCycle, or at least to find a way to open the document in Acrobat 9 Pro for just add the "print" key to the shape of LiveCycle. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    ~ Max

    Thirsty just translated us your script that uses the Acroform model to use the xfa template, it should work... right?

    Your code in an xfa form would look like this:

    var oDoc = event.target;

    var pp = oDoc.getPrintParams ();

    pp.interactive = pp.constants.interactionLevel.Automatic;

    pp.printerName="\\\TOSHIBABILLING2\\pcl6 ';

    oDoc.print (pp);

    Try and let us know if it worked.

  • XPS 13 9350 wifi to automatically reconnect to the known network

    I wanted to see if the owners of Dell XPS 13 9350 encounter a problem connecting to woman that I have.

    My home wifi Netgear router is set up and I have connected with the password and select "connect automatically".  However, my Dell won't connect when I reboot.

    Laptop Lenovo to my wife and another bridged router remains connected and there is no problem.

    I tried to disable the computer put power off 'allow' pay-per-view network in device, network, power management card Manager, but the behavior has not changed.

    Wanted to see if anyone else has seen cela or not.

    I've rolled back to an earlier version of the Wifi network adapter and have no problem.  I saw several people in researching this issue who has problems with the latest Broadcom driver that is located on the Dell Web site for the 9350 XPS13 perhaps this is corrected in later versions.

  • Stall network detection

    Currently, I'm trying to understand how to implement a network dropout detector in my application.  I use HTTP and so often keep a socket opened for a long time and do a lot of things on it.  Therefore, a random network dropping out really hurts to ease of use and I need to address without delay as the BONE to cause a timeout.  I was wondering if anyone could share any advice or code on how best implemented it.  I know that Peter has mentioned something himself, of course anything either would be useful.

    I thought a lot lately about the different ways that I could approach this problem:

    The simplest way possible, in theory, would be a kind of timer.  I would like to start it at the beginning of any sequence of operations of e/s, and "kick after (possibly before) each successful socket read or write."  The problem is that there is no effective obvious way to do it with the BlackBerry API.  (at least not without coarse abuse TimerTask.)

    Another option would be to have a TimerTask that runs whenever the is open, controls a set of variables on regular intervals.  I would update these variables around every success in reading/writing, and it could make its conclusions on this basis.  Of course, this raises a lot of questions on what the TimerTask interval should be, when start/stop, etc..

    Any thoughts/ideas?

    For a general watchdog, I use RealtimeClockListener.  But he gets only a kick every minute which is probably too long for the detection of dropping out of your network.  But you can use it to make sure that your stall network Detection still works.

    Personally, I have a dislike of timers because they seem to be just the threads with time management, handling I can do myself.

    And that's what I would do in this case.  I understand that you don't need that level of detail, but I'll put it in other players who are maybe not as clever as you are.

    I would like to have a watchdog thread, in a shared storage (probably RuntimeStore), all the time.  It has two States, while waiting for a timeout and idle.  In both States, she waits on the synchronized object StallDetection (I just made that name, it's just an object).  He uses wait/notify on this object to tell the Thread to do some work.

    This thread has two special methods, startTimeout() and cancelTimeout().

    Use Thread will startTimeout on this thread, through Assembly and time-out interval.  This startTimeout method will set the timeout and save the connection object, and then notify the StallDetection object.  This will give the wire in life, ii will find that it has a connection, but the timeout did not, then he will change his timeout so that he wakes up in the time limit.

    Now, there are only two possible situations:

    (a) the network Thread called cancelTimeout to cancel the timeout, because it has a good answer.  cancelTimeout clears the connection just waiting for the Thread.  When the thread wakes up, he'll find the elapsed wait time, but there is no connection to cancel, so it will be simply define another timeout, in the distant future and wait again.

    (b) the network Thread is suspended and does not cancel the timeout.  Then the Thread will wake up and see there is a link to cancel and cancel.

    It is essentially an implementation of a timer, without start-up costs and stop all the time.  I think it's better in your situation where you have a network of Red wire all the time.  But perhaps not an ad hoc http connection.

    Rather than use the two methods on the Thread, it should probably put up a model of the observer and so could be useful for a number of other situations.

    I would use the RealtimeClockListener to just check this thread is alive (isAlive()), then start it again if not.

    I would be interested in other options if people have other ideas and of course improvements on this!

    And I hope this helps.

  • At wich moment a RT controller deploys network Variables?

    Hi all

    I want to know when the shared variables are accessible on a RT PXI controller?

    During the system startup PXI to my request for RT (defined as auto-start) first wants to write the default values for variables.

    Here, I get the error:-1950679035

    This means that the variable is not deployed jet.

    I understand that it takes more of 5 seconds until the variables are really ready to read or write.

    For the moment, I use a work around:

    A network variable 'RT_System_Ready' is played repeatedly until the error has disappeared. This loop takes more than 5seconds.

    After the loop starts the main application and I no longer get the error...

    I think the boot sequence for the RT controller should only start the user application when all libraries are deployed and variables are accessible.

    Greetings,

    Henning

    Hey, Henning.

    No, the bootsequence cares variables, drivers or anything else to be ready, that is used in the application.

    Interrogation of a flag or until the error is gone or waiting for a - and - time is the only way to get that everythings ready!
