  I have a question about the use of the customer when using disc that I'm looking for some clarification on application streaming. According to the ThinApp user manual "ThinApp does not write data but the disk.". So I reason by saying that the ThinApp client runtime and all the blocks of the application are stored in memory and there is no interaction with the local hard disk, providing that the sandbox sand is configured to be hosted on a network share?

  In a situation where the blocks required to run the application is greater than the remaining quantity of RAM how ThinApp handles this. He just throw blocks that are no longer needed and load in the new blocks?

  Finally, what are the consequences when the network connectivity is lost when a ThinApp application is already running. The application continues to run because it has the necessary blocks already loaded into memory, but will eventually fail if there where blocks have not yet been charged with the new features of the application?

  You're right to a point... It's more about the isolation modes.

  If the application is completely isolated, then any new data created during execution would go to the sandbox.  However, if this has been done, we would have a problem printing because we would need to write to the folder of spool of physical systems.  That's why the record of spool is on merged default Isolation mode.

  If you have funds % set the blending mode for Firefox (like a thinapp) then you can save the data directly to the desktop of the host.  Therefore, it is the way that the package is configured.

  How windows manages it on a native-ly... by exchanging installation application.  Even if it's a thinapp, the thinapp is just another Windows application.  If it exceeds free RAM and need more, windows will exchange what he can.

  I guess the thinapp would crash with errors to the file cannot be read.  It is similar to she runs from a USB key and unplug the USB.  It would probably crash because it cannot read the disc source.

  Once you restore connectivity, try to revive the thinapp.  If it works then great, if she don't then deletes the sandbox sand.

• How to open the pdf file residing on the server to the client computer applications?

  The scenario is that I've developed a form using forms10g (9.0.4). I wrote the following lines in the module of the form, there is a button.in the code for this button.

  Now when I run the form and click the button, it opens the pdf "2dayDBA.pdf" file and it works fine.
  My problem is that when I deploy the same form on Oracle application server and copy the pdf files in the same location with acrobat reader installed at the same place and run the formula browser client and press
  the button, it does not open the pdf file and gives me the error "Exception no Oracle".
  
  someone has the solution for this. (don't forget I want to just open the pdf file of the client)

  I'm following the documentation at the following link: framework WEM: registration of Applications manually - 11g Release 1 (11.1.1.8.0)

  I be able to start the application. I can go to the path: http://localhost:9180/Articles-1.0/home.app and the use of the application. However, I would also like to add items icon on the app bar like in this picture:

  I tried everything and I see the problem. For some reason, it is add the URL of the image to the base URL:http://sites-server:8080/cs/http://articles-server:9080/articles-1.0/images/articles.png

  If you have installed the application of the article on the same appserver as Sites, you can try changing the URL of the icon for:... /Articles-1.0/images/Articles.png

  and E-mail address for page layout:... /Articles-1.0/Layout.app

  Or try to copy the articles.png to your {(deployed articles-1.0)/images and layout.jsp of your {articles-1.0}/WEB-INF/jsp deployed in the deployed application Sites somewhere and change the URLS accordingly.}} For example if you place both in {deployed Sites app} / articles /, then change the URL to /articles/articles.png and/articles/putting on the page. JSP (not the .app!) respectively.

  I will raise a bug that it is adding the URL of the site base URL.

  1 - the font size for both is the same (why the size is not different?, because I gave the size of different font within the span tag)

  2 - the text of the whole logo whose description is displayed twice.

  -Once in place of the actual logo and

  -the second on the left upper tree navigation. (just below the text of the actual logo)

  I tried to use the logo attribute, but what makes the whole logo & its description with the same size. I need size of different font for both, so it is unusable.

  Cannot reproduce. Using the code above results in different format text as expected. (He looks terrible IMO)

  Including HTML tags in text in the 5.0/theme 42 APEX logos results in this behavior. I consider this as a bug as (a) it says nowhere that it is not possible to do so; (b) the text of the logo is not HTML - or attribute-escaped when used in the page.

  See How to avoid to show the logo on the navigation bar to get an explanation of the underlying cause and a workaround to allow the common use cases include the text and a picture in the logo. This particular solution is of no use here. The solution to this problem requires a custom with the theme the theme roller style sheet, which is the preferred way and support to customize and extend the universal theme.

  • Click the Thème Roller on the developer toolbar.
  • Expand the CSS custom section.
  • Add this style custom rule:

  I tried, but there is no "Stereo mix" available options. There is only the (Conexant High Definition Audio) Microphone. It did not work. What I'll do is to buy a DVD for TV (tv Record program) burner and plug the hdmi cable from my computer to the DVD recorder and record what I want. After that, I just rip the audio from the file. I see no other option to do. I use windows vista Home premium.

  I would like to know how I can record the sound that is played by the soundcard using Vista without using the microphone as a source. Let's say the audio is played (audio stream) and I want to record this stream. There are many software that we can download that record what is happening in the microphone. The sound bounces off the speakers to the microphone. But when this happens, you lose a lot of the quality of the audio. So my question is if it is possible to record what is happening to the right of the sound card, before being sent to the sound card in order to avoid the loss of audio quality.

  I - might - have a stupid question. I'm about to start using HFM. When I installed the Hyperion Financial Management package, it shows that the Financial Management Sample Application/Starter kit will also be installed.
  
  However once the installation is complete, I tried to access the library of the Application on the workspace and had empty (no application).
  
  I started services Foundation, EPMA and HFM.
  
  My environment: Windows Server 2008 Enterprise, Hyperion 11.1.2.1 64bits.
  
  Is someone can help me to find out how to access the HFM sample application?

  Welcome to the world of HFM.

  Well, the installation displays the sample application and the Starter Kit would be installed and checked it.
  It would have been installed, but does not mean that it will automatically create the sample application.

  What you need to do for applications appear in the workspace, you must first create the applications.

  I intend to transfer my application written in C/C++ for playbook... Basically, the application has a client and a server process communicating via sockets... Client process has a user interface with a few UI controls components, server process will run in the background... I would like to know if the client-server application can be written on the AIR platform?... If this support is available I think using AIR/native extension for C/C++ code porting

  Also, I'm new to this platform, I would like to know if there is a support to launch the 3rd party app to another 3rd party app?... Say to use above customer case must be able to launch the server process...

  I have OBIEE 11.1.1.5 installed on a Windows 2003 SP2 environment, which installs SampleAppLite. I wanted to install the sample full application I downloaded Oracle. When I tried to unzip the provided catalog with the complete sample application file, I received errors of WinZip. I have determined that the cause of the errors is a too long file name. The length of the path and file name exceeds the limit of 255 characters in windows.

  This can happen for SampleApp as well as for the installation of Oracle BI Apps on Windows due to a setting of configuration and limitation of Windows.

  My opinion is that the Oracle BI PM team really built OBIEE 11 g Linux first and then Windows is a minor version.

  However, to solve your problem, configure your environment as if it'll be a deployment locally to bracts and create a shared near the root folder. Then the em Console merger change the RPD deployment tab to a location 'sharing' and also to adjust the assignment of web site catalogue.

  Thus, for example, on your C:\ drive create the following structure

  C:\
  -OBIEEShare
  -THE RPD
  WebCat-
  -GlobalCache

  Then do C:\OBIEEShare a shared folder so that it can be accessed through the following UNC, \\machineName\OBIEEShare\

  Place the SampleApp DPR on the course of \\machineName\OBIEEShare\RPD\
  Place the SampleApp WebCat folder on the \\machineName\OBIEEShare\WebCat\ course

  Now in do it Fusion Console EM the shared location for the RPD is \\machineName\OBIEEShare\RPD\ and the location of the web catalog is \\machineName\OBIEEShare\WebCat\SampleApp

  Transfer your file SampleApp.rpd and enter the correct credentials.

  Restart the necessary components and you're done.
